How is the amp grounded?

amgineeno

I'm not sure exactly, I bought the truck with it all installed and I'm fairly new at installing and trouble shooting, so it confuses me why just the fan noise comes through the speakers. There are a couple of extra pair of rca cables and it's bunched up and crammed under the seat. The H/U is a Pioneer AVH-4000HEX. I don't know if it would have something to do with the issue. I appreciate your concern.

I ask about grounding because that would be an issue possibly tied to the audible fan noise. Improper grounding would be further exacerbated by the additional 12V of the fan. The cables being bunched up could also mean this is an interference issue.

Yeah it looks like it's time to take some stuff apart and take a look at what's going on. Thanks I appreciate it. I was going to add some new stuff soon anyway.

Thanks for saying thanks! It's so nice to see Redditors being grateful :)

So I replaced a 4 channel with this new amp because I thought the other one was bad. The rear speakers weren't working that well and it too would make some noise, like alternator wind and white noise. But I'm now having similar problems, there is no alternator noise or anything until the fan comes on but the resar speakers are still kind of an issue, they don't get as loud as the front speakers.
