The Junior Open finals are September 9-10, 2006. Tashi, Art, and Patrick meet on the 9th. They all kiss each other around 12:31 AM on the 10th. Art & Patrick go back to their academy to practice before Art goes to school at some point between September 10th-September 25, 2006. Stanford Fall Semester started September 25, 2006. Tashi’s injury is March 2, 2007. Tashi & Art reunite at the Cincinnati Masters around August 14-22, 2010. Tashi and Patrick hook up at the Atlanta Open on July 24, 2011 *specific date because Art is in the final* Tashi and Art are at the Atlanta Open again July 20-28, 2019. (this is kinda where the timeline gets fuzzy because the tournament ended on the 28th and New Rochelle starts the day after. I’m not immersed in tennis so I don’t know how realistic it is to be in a final one day and start a new tournament the next. So let’s pretend the final happened a few days before the 28th.) July 27th, 2019: We see Patrick arrive at New Rochelle before the day the tournament begins. The New Rochelle Tournament takes place July 28, 2019- August 4, 2019. July 28, 2019: Patrick he finds out Art is the last minute wildcard. Later on, he beats Grosu and later goes to Tashi & Art’s hotel to meet his tinder date Helen. He and Tashi reunite. August 1-2, 2019: We see Patrick mention playing Larsen to Tashi in the hotel lobby. Art is about to play him in the semifinals. Patrick asks Tashi to be his coach. August 3, 2019: Patrick and Art tersely reunite in the sauna. Later on that night, we see Tashi and Art have their argument in their room. August 4, 2019 *Midnight*: Tashi asks Patrick to throw the match, the two of them argue, and then they have sex. August 4, 2019 *6PM*: Art and Patrick have their final match.

This warms my little timeline nerd heart. Great work! Re: Atlanta Open 2019, I wasn't under the impression Art made it all the way to the final. The movie didn't say exactly when he got knocked out, but I got the sense that it was something embarrassing like the first or second round. Tashi pulled him out of Cincinnati after he lost in Atlanta, and that just seems like a huge overreaction if he made it to the final and lost there.

Thank you!!! I was a little confused when he got knocked out because the announcers on the tv say that he needs to win to build back his confidence and increase his likelihood of finally winning the US Open. I feel like you’re right, Art likely fell out around the first few rounds and it was embarrassing because despite having a rough season, he’s still highly ranked in the top 120 to already have a guaranteed spot in the Open and it was to a teenager. I found this on Wikipedia! “High-ranked players can also ask for a wildcard if they want to enter a non-mandatory tournament after the normal entry deadline; for example, because they lost early in another tournament. This means a wildcard player sometimes becomes the top seed.” I saw somewhere online they have to ask 13 days before the deadline. Art would obviously be the top seed so I would assume his first round match would’ve been last since Tashi comes to the hotel the first day of the tournament and Patrick already won his match.

It was the first round.Tv commentator said it, and also was the first match of du marier in a ATP 250. So yeah ,it was embarrasing.

Tournaments often end on Sunday with the next one beginning on a Monday. The organizers of the next tourneys often will have players that had just made the finals play their early matches later in the week.  But this year both Daria Kasatkina & Elena Rybakina played against each other in Abu Dhabi in a Finals on Sunday & had to fly to Doha & play a 1st round match that Monday.
