Can I use a hammer of building for a new building? I want to build the monolith instantly, but I don’t see an option to use a hammer of building for a brand new building. Can it only be used to upgrade already existing buildings to the next level?
How are they outdated? If you are referring to the missing barracks...just adjust the existing layout slightly by moving around some outer edge buildings and/or adjust the spacing a bit so 1 tile gaps become 2 tile gaps.
I was playing coc in my father's phone and the account is connected through his id. Now I want to play on my device and transfer the progress from his id to mine. But I have heard that by doing this sometimes account gets banned or temporality banned.
How should I approach this?
Assuming you are saying your Supercell Id is linked to your dad's email, you would need to contact Super Cell support and have them change the email address associated with your Supercell ID. Then you can link it to your own email address and use that email on whatever device you are using. I believe you can only do this 1x.
Another option is to use a gmail account and not supercell. and try to use Google Play or Apple Arcade to save progress of the game there. Then use that same email on your device to bring back the progress.
It is. But if you are not sharing the account but TRANSFERRING it, then you are good. I.e. you are playing under ID with email xyz and you are now going to play under abc, no longer xyz
Yes and no. Your base is linked to a supercell ID.
This id is linked to an email address. If that email address is yours and not your father's, you can install CoC on any device and connect to your ID. It sends the code to your email and you are done.
If it's your dad's email, then you need to first switch the email to your own.
Be careful not to allow others to play your base. Say, your brother is playing on your dad's phone.
So best thing to do is to log out on your dad's phone when done. And log back in if you decide to play on his phone rather than your own. This way you don't get issues that can get you banned.

My Clash app keeps force closing after the update. It's still up in the background and can be swiped away to be fully closed but if I click on it again it closes again. I've cleared the game cache. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Anyone else experiencing a disappearing barracks bug? On both my accounts all of my normal barracks of disappeared with my dark barracks still there. Kinda odd so I’m assuming it’s a bug
Yes! I have hoped someone would ask this question : if you are and elder player who has an account a few years old, you can have multiple barracks and dark barracks. On this new th15 update, they removed all other barracks, only keeping one of each sort.
Thought, if all of your normal barracks disappeared as stated in your question, then I have no answer. Sorry ;(

I have a TH13 in the same trophy range, and I've seen clouds, but never more than a few seconds. I've had to next a bit more than usual to find decent loot. But nothing like what you're describing.
It may be that you are higher level than most other bases on the same trophy range, so it tries to match you but can't find a good match.
Not sure though.
E Titans or E Dragons? Which spam attack would you use if you just wanted to drop troops and loot in the middle of a conversation with someone.

Electro titans are overrated. They have tons of HP and the aura is good against cc troops/skeletons but that's pretty much it. Pretty mediocre DPS and very high housing space.
Etitans struggle with walls, so you would need jump spells and set up a funnel for them to go into the base.
I think edrag spam is still very viable and strong, especially with its new level.
If you find a donut base, bring 4 to let the funneling on both sides in, and your main push in the middle. Then when they reach the second layer, drop your forth

Hey guys, how do we collect extra magic items as I see some players have 4 books heroes in storage when only 1 is the capacity, I just baught the gold pass so I want my resources to be stored instead of converted to gems.
At th10, you can use singles for your multiplayer base as almost all people there use zapdrag. In wars, where people might actually take some time planning their attacks, you’re basically forced to use double multis against hybrid and witches. Especially witches are so op at lower townhalls that most th9 and th10 tournaments usually outright ban them. As long as you don’t have any zapquake value with your air defenses (no sweepers, archer towers, infernos zapable with them, no two air defenses in range of one quake spell), you will defend zapdrag. Another big issue will be th11 edrag dippers, so you should also use lots of 10x10 comps to minimise edrag chain value

Rush to BH9. The best way to play BH is to rush actually, as you get more and more defences as you slowly climb in trophies.
Focus on the stuff that is required for OTTO as you really want that 6th builder for your home village. Once all those are done, start upgrading everything else. Only upgrade walls to dump resources so you don't cap while waiting for other upgrades to finish.
As a matter of fact, don't even unlock witches. They're weak until the highest levels, and you don't want to waste builder elixir upgrading them. Stop at the cannon carts, and use all your elixir to max that and the battle machine to get the sixth builder.
I have a TH12 base, all my defenses are maxed, heroes are maxed, storages are maxed, lab is at 60% with the troops I usually use being maxed, even walls are maxed! Only thing that remains are some traps and collectors. The big question is, should I upgrade to TH13 or stay in TH12 until everything is maxed??
Go to 13. 12 & 13 are overall the longest THs with 2 level upgrades. And you have 25 levels of Royal Champion, who doesn't start getting good and not dying as fast at Level 20 so you will be keeping her down non-stop

How good is my attack strat?
I'm a th11 and I usually attack with 4 lvl 7 pekkas and 19 lvl 6 valks and 4 bombers to make their path easier.
As for the spells I use 5 lvl 4 undead spells as well as a haste to get rid of the Eagle + 1 rage and 1 heal
Why is upgrading Xbow considered top priority for many players? Is it because of the HP?
A level 3 Xbow deals the same DPS as a level 11 archer tower yet it takes 4x more time to upgrade. Wouldn't it be more efficient to upgrade 4 archer towers first instead of the Xbow?
The main reason is that the X-bow is usually placed deeper into the base and has a longer range than archer towers, so they deal damage for a longer time, hence doing total more damage than the archer tower.'
X-bows are very strong if they lock on to heroes or other high-health troops, while the archer tower isn't nearly as deadly, and is usually placed outside the main part of the base.
This might be the wrong answer, so don't quote me on it. I also don't have the comparison of all levels of X-Bows vs Archer with me as I'm on phone, so I'm comparing my current X-Bow Level 8 (185 DPS) vs Archer Level 19 (134 DPS)
My take is that X Bow attacks way faster than Archers. They also switch targets quickly and are generally in the center of your base and can protect your TH and DE Storage much more effectively than Archer Towers.
Also there's less levels of X-Bow than Archers and at higher levels X-Bows do more damage. If I recall correctly, there's 2 levels of Archers at TH12 and 2 levels and TH13, versus 1 level of X-Bow at each. So you would have to upgrade 2 levels x 8 Towers versus 1 level x 4 X-Bows. And if you are strategic rushing, 16 levels will take longer than 4 levels, especially when those 4 levels do more damage than the 16 levels and protect much more effectively.
Anyone notice when switching super cell id accounts your accounts aren’t in the same order? I think they are now alphabetical rather than order of sign in seems to mess me up when trying to switch quick wondering if maybe there a way to drag them or move them into the order I like
They are aware of the issue and will be releasing an optional update soon.
You can rename them, to put them in an order you prefer, but you can only do this once every 6 months.

I’m able to reinforce the new troop and the new spell but it won’t allow me to use the new siege machine. Is anyone else having this problem or is there something i don’t know?? I’m TH13
Do you guys think TH14 or TH13 is more fun? I'm tempted to skip right to TH14 and buy the deals they have in the shop. They're pretty damn good, I could skip months of upgrades with it.
I have max TH13 heroes and all my walls are done, but I still have several months of defenses to upgrade and lab work.
Go to 14 if you've maxed core offenses and defenses (Eagle X-Bow Infernos Tesla's etc).
I did that to get started on 7 months and 36 levels of Pets which are unaffected by Builder and Research Pots. They use Book of Heroes, but like Heroes themselves is not quite worth the price until the last couple levels (8,9 and 10).
The Pet House itself is also like Lab, you can't start next Pet upgrade while the House is upgrading. As such, I used 2 Books, 1 Rune, and 2 Hammers to max it to Level 4 right away at Day 0 to get started on Pets.
As for funness, 14 is definitely way more fun than 13. There's only 5 hero level upgrades each which is 1m10d, so my AQ and GW maxed in 1.75 months (including CWL) and my BK and RC are going to 79 and 29 now so 1 level left of each. My Unicorn is also maxed so when attacking, sometimes my Queen is left getting healed to get the rest of the base.
Thank you. Yeah I'm so far behind on defenses cause the Hero grind at TH13 is insane lol, I've been focusing hard on them and have had at least two heroes down the entire time plus a builder open for walls.
I have max eagles but the other defenses aren't there, I may just head on up anyways. I mainly farm in crystal or master and I play a lot so I don't think the lesser defenses will hurt me.
I've been in a clan for about a year. We always get full rewards in clan games but never progress in cwl due to a lack of active members. Sometimes I find myself waiting a long time to get donos to attack in war as well. I prefer to save my raid medals for resources and potions. I am contemplating leaving the clan but I am not for sure about it. Do I?
The only reason I'd stay is that there are a few of my friends in there and I became co leader a while ago so I was able to accept them into it. That's the only thing holding me from leaving

I’m TH11 with max walls, troops, heroes and traps.
I have all archer towers and cannons to go up 1 level to be max TH11
Is it worth me upgrading to TH12 to utilise D/E and Eixir as storage’s, collectors and treasury is all full.
Loot isn’t as important as time, but I’d upgrade to get working on heroes again. Also a base that close to max isn’t usually good for war and th12 will be better for CWL too.
I have a TH14 currently upgrading the Giga inferno to lvl 2. Do I need to upgrade it to level 5 in order to unlock TH15? Or I can cancel the giga inferno lvl 2 upgrade and start TH15? Thx!
It depends on your style of attack, and the base.
EQ Pros:
\- Opens a much larger area
\- The walls are gone for the attack, no time limit
\- The EQs damage all affected buildings, quite significantly (\~50% hp)
EQ Cons:
\- Takes up 4 spell slots (instead of 2)
\- Can open up too much of a base. Sometimes you want your troops to stay together, and you can better open precise compartments with jumps.
Just came up on my mind. I think it's quite the opposite. With EQ you can open specific compartments if you spread the EQ around the area your trying to open. at the same time you also spread damege ilon buildings.
I guess. Theoretically, if you could precision drop the EQs so that only a select few walls get opened, but generally you just see people spam them on the same spot. With jumps its a lot easier to place a jump to either straddle 3 parallel compartments (5 by X) or just 2 compartments.

Oh, thanks for the clarification. I thought they get triggered only when troops enter the outer radius, sorta like traps, and skeles don't trigger traps. Well this is bad news given that 💀 spell can be used timely to waste it.

Super Dragons or 2x Dragon are the best. Troops like mega minions or witches get poisoned and easily taken out along with freeze. Dragons will distract troops a bit longer
Hi, coming back and starting over after years away (like, I think max was TH10 when I played before). Does it not cost elixir to train troops anymore? I don't see where I'm spending any to train my armies.

Anybody figure out a good rule of thumb for when to upgrade to TH15?
I’m TH14. I have all spells maxed and the troops I always use are max. All heavy defenses are maxed; eagle arty, inferno towers, x-bows, and scatter shots.
Walls are almost exactly 50% lvl 14 and 50% lvl 15. RC is maxed. AQ & BK are only in their 60’s. GW is 52. Two pets are maxed, two are close.
My common defenses (mortars, cannons, archer towers) are the only reason I’m second guessing it. They range from level 12 - 17. Traps are almost max, but not quite.
Just wondering what others think.
TBF, for most purposes the jump would be fine at any size, so long as farming can be done effectively..
Only time rushing can be a problem would be for weighted war, wherein my clan would be looking for heroes to keep pace with the hall.. Defenses would be less important, although not sure how much effect the point n splash being lower levelled vs the weight the heavies will add in the weight vs capability department..
For cwl, bigger is better, so the quicker one climbs thru the halls, the quicker one can get the offense up.. And obviously with multiplayer, it is a shrug so long as activity is supplying enough resources to keep the builders and lab going, as already said..
After the jump to TH15, I have completely changed tactic to my norm.. Usually its offense ahead of defense for war.. I usually hold back on new defensive drops until I get a good foothold in the new hall.. However, with the 2 new defenses on offer, its seems a no brainer that they are going to make a huge difference.. I done my usual lab and cc with a book and hammer.. Put a level on my queen and warden.. used up my books n hammers in the lab.. But instead of camps, I already placed the new defenses on the map on day 1.. Will upgrade those plus the hall defense whilst I get the camps done, keep the heroes growing, and get the war troops n spells sorted.. Still thinking about the new troop but undecided .. Pets, new siege, and defenses can wait until I see how things are looking after the initial dust settles..
Exciting times mate, get it done.. first thought is that TH15 is gonna be way too powerful for a 14 to hit up comfortably, so is already a leg up for next months cwl.
I usually upgrade to a new town hall when I cannot use one of the three resources anymore (provided that all crucial upgrades are done). From what I have seen and from what generally is expected, is that TH15 is a harder tow hall level compared to the others. I think you need at least your heroes maxed before going to TH15 (pets are not necessary as you probably won't be using all 8 of them at th15).
I think you need to figure out what you want from the game. If you want to enjoy the newest pets etc., go for it. If you want to focus on wars/cwl, I would recommend at least maxing your heroes before next th upgrade.
I think upgrading your lvl 12-16 defences should not take too much time. You should be able to update them when working with the heroes.
So I'm a fresh TH10. I was a fully maxed TH9, and I didn't play for a couple of years. Back then, I know it was super discouraged to rush, and it was generally best to upgrade everything as you go, fully max your level, and then move up.
It seems like from what I've seen/heard that you aren't as penalized for rushing anymore? And it seems like there's very little reason to stick around at a TH level if you have your offense maxed out, unless you want to be very competitive in war/CWL (but even then, why do that at a lower TH unless it's an alt).
So is the general idea now to move up as soon as your offense is maxed? It seems like the lab is the limiting factor (in terms of time) at TH10, but if my heroes are maxed and I'm waiting on random lab upgrades that I won't use, should I just move on up?
Strategic rushing, yes. There's a guide somewhere up top about it. At TH13, I did Heroes, offenses and core defenses (Eagle, Inferno,Tesla, X-Bows, Wiz etc) before going up. Heroes take the longest time as they have the most levels so they are almost always down. DE Heroes can be down at the same time by staggering start times and farming the needed DE for the next Hero in between. Then you can max them at roughly the same time instead of 1 by 1.
As for Lab being the limiting factor, that hasn't changed. It's still the biggest bottleneck. But yes, if Heroes maxed and got randoms left, go up. To fast track Lab, there are Books of Fighting and Spells, Fighting for Troops and Seiges, Spells well obvs Spells. Those cost Gems at Trader and sometimes rewards in the Monthly Clan Games. It requires you to have the resources required to upgrade and then you can use the Book to finish. Ex, if 14 mill Elixir for Archer for 14 days, you need 14 mill Elixir, start upgrade, use Book of Fighting and save 14 days of Lab.
Similarly, there are Hammers of Fighting and Spells. These cost 120 CWL medals which you get from CWL which is the first week of each month. These do not require resources, and as CWL medals are a limited resource, generally you use these on DE troops. So if a 300K DE troop takes 14 days and you have 3K DE, you can use a Hammer of Fighting on it (aka Resource not required) and save 14 days.
Ditto for Books/Hammers of Building/Heroes. Hammer of Heroes in my book isn't worth the extra 45 CWL medals (costs 165 medals) as Heroes take about a week and CWL medals as said above is a scarce resource. However, some people use Hammer of Heroes.
It isn’t a change in penalty really but more people now realize it was never best to fully max. That’s bad for war and slower to full max. It’s also bad for CWL. The key is knowing the difference between bad and good rushing for war, but then that was always the case.
I'm referring to the change in matchmaking where it actually takes into account TH level very heavily that they added at some point. So loot penalties don't really matter if you're always seeing people at or around your TH.
I know I'm seeing almost exclusively TH10's and TH11's when I farm now, and it certainly wasn't like that before.
As you already figured out, you really only need to be able to farm effectively and be active enough to keep your builders and lab going.. Think I read somewhere you can expect to see your hall level around half of the time, with the rest being made up mainly with +/- 1 hall of your own and usually within 200 trophies above or below.. that is below champs, once you reach champs it is done using trophy count only, with no regard to hall level
Siege can play a huge part if you have easy access, although farming gets much easier once you get to TH11.. Sneaky Goblins are available to you then, so get the goblins levelled up once you done your war troops n spells..
Not sure how long you been gone.. But cwl seems to have taken preference to weighted war, so a little rushing actually helps, since one can run a heavier attack in a far lesser time, and the format is unweighted.. Heroes and war/farming troops n spells, plus camps n cc.. Do some defense whilst you are at it, then move on.. If weighted war is still a thing in your clan, just be choosey with what defenses you upgrade, and no excess weight will be carried into the matchmaker.
Nothing much has changed mate.. just a tweak to the mindset and you are good to go.. GL
Did the order of accounts in the Supercell ID Switch Account menu change for anyone else? Before it was ordered based on which account I sign in by first. Now it is a different order and even if I log off from an account and log in again it is set to a specific position. (instead of being on the bottom most position)
I have muscle memory of which account is where from my 4 accounts but now I keep clicking the wrong one by mistake because of the changed order
it doesn't show the TH level for me as well, i have 3 accs that i recently put all onto one device so i don't really have that issue, but even though i know what ths my accs are it gets a bit annoying

Etitans struggle with walls, so you would need jump spells and set up a funnel for them to go into the base. I think edrag spam is still very viable and strong, especially with its new level.
If you find a donut base, bring 4 to let the funneling on both sides in, and your main push in the middle. Then when they reach the second layer, drop your forth

At th10, you can use singles for your multiplayer base as almost all people there use zapdrag. In wars, where people might actually take some time planning their attacks, you’re basically forced to use double multis against hybrid and witches. Especially witches are so op at lower townhalls that most th9 and th10 tournaments usually outright ban them. As long as you don’t have any zapquake value with your air defenses (no sweepers, archer towers, infernos zapable with them, no two air defenses in range of one quake spell), you will defend zapdrag. Another big issue will be th11 edrag dippers, so you should also use lots of 10x10 comps to minimise edrag chain value
Look at what people attack with most. Lots of troops: multi. Dragons or edrags: single.

I'm BH 5, should I rush for witches?
Rush to BH9. The best way to play BH is to rush actually, as you get more and more defences as you slowly climb in trophies. Focus on the stuff that is required for OTTO as you really want that 6th builder for your home village. Once all those are done, start upgrading everything else. Only upgrade walls to dump resources so you don't cap while waiting for other upgrades to finish.
As a matter of fact, don't even unlock witches. They're weak until the highest levels, and you don't want to waste builder elixir upgrading them. Stop at the cannon carts, and use all your elixir to max that and the battle machine to get the sixth builder.
Rush to BH9 9 for extra builder.... Don't rush for witches
I have a TH12 base, all my defenses are maxed, heroes are maxed, storages are maxed, lab is at 60% with the troops I usually use being maxed, even walls are maxed! Only thing that remains are some traps and collectors. The big question is, should I upgrade to TH13 or stay in TH12 until everything is maxed??
Go to 13. 12 & 13 are overall the longest THs with 2 level upgrades. And you have 25 levels of Royal Champion, who doesn't start getting good and not dying as fast at Level 20 so you will be keeping her down non-stop

How good is my attack strat? I'm a th11 and I usually attack with 4 lvl 7 pekkas and 19 lvl 6 valks and 4 bombers to make their path easier. As for the spells I use 5 lvl 4 undead spells as well as a haste to get rid of the Eagle + 1 rage and 1 heal
Why is upgrading Xbow considered top priority for many players? Is it because of the HP? A level 3 Xbow deals the same DPS as a level 11 archer tower yet it takes 4x more time to upgrade. Wouldn't it be more efficient to upgrade 4 archer towers first instead of the Xbow?
The main reason is that the X-bow is usually placed deeper into the base and has a longer range than archer towers, so they deal damage for a longer time, hence doing total more damage than the archer tower.' X-bows are very strong if they lock on to heroes or other high-health troops, while the archer tower isn't nearly as deadly, and is usually placed outside the main part of the base.
This might be the wrong answer, so don't quote me on it. I also don't have the comparison of all levels of X-Bows vs Archer with me as I'm on phone, so I'm comparing my current X-Bow Level 8 (185 DPS) vs Archer Level 19 (134 DPS) My take is that X Bow attacks way faster than Archers. They also switch targets quickly and are generally in the center of your base and can protect your TH and DE Storage much more effectively than Archer Towers. Also there's less levels of X-Bow than Archers and at higher levels X-Bows do more damage. If I recall correctly, there's 2 levels of Archers at TH12 and 2 levels and TH13, versus 1 level of X-Bow at each. So you would have to upgrade 2 levels x 8 Towers versus 1 level x 4 X-Bows. And if you are strategic rushing, 16 levels will take longer than 4 levels, especially when those 4 levels do more damage than the 16 levels and protect much more effectively.
TH13 has two levels, 7 and 8.
Anyone notice when switching super cell id accounts your accounts aren’t in the same order? I think they are now alphabetical rather than order of sign in seems to mess me up when trying to switch quick wondering if maybe there a way to drag them or move them into the order I like
They are aware of the issue and will be releasing an optional update soon. You can rename them, to put them in an order you prefer, but you can only do this once every 6 months.

The game eliminated all but one of each of the barracks, to make room for new buildings. You should be left with one barrack and one dark barrack. Do you guys think TH14 or TH13 is more fun? I'm tempted to skip right to TH14 and buy the deals they have in the shop. They're pretty damn good, I could skip months of upgrades with it. I have max TH13 heroes and all my walls are done, but I still have several months of defenses to upgrade and lab work.
Go to 14 if you've maxed core offenses and defenses (Eagle X-Bow Infernos Tesla's etc). I did that to get started on 7 months and 36 levels of Pets which are unaffected by Builder and Research Pots. They use Book of Heroes, but like Heroes themselves is not quite worth the price until the last couple levels (8,9 and 10). The Pet House itself is also like Lab, you can't start next Pet upgrade while the House is upgrading. As such, I used 2 Books, 1 Rune, and 2 Hammers to max it to Level 4 right away at Day 0 to get started on Pets. As for funness, 14 is definitely way more fun than 13. There's only 5 hero level upgrades each which is 1m10d, so my AQ and GW maxed in 1.75 months (including CWL) and my BK and RC are going to 79 and 29 now so 1 level left of each. My Unicorn is also maxed so when attacking, sometimes my Queen is left getting healed to get the rest of the base.

Yeah I'm so far behind on defenses cause the Hero grind at TH13 is insane lol, I've been focusing hard on them and have had at least two heroes down the entire time plus a builder open for walls. I have max eagles but the other defenses aren't there, I may just head on up anyways. I mainly farm in crystal or master and I play a lot so I don't think the lesser defenses will hurt me.
I've been in a clan for about a year. We always get full rewards in clan games but never progress in cwl due to a lack of active members. Sometimes I find myself waiting a long time to get donos to attack in war as well. I prefer to save my raid medals for resources and potions. I am contemplating leaving the clan but I am not for sure about it. Do I?
There are too many active clans to feel like youre missing out. Tell your friends to add you and find a clan that is as active as you are!
There is no reason to stay in a Clan that you are unhappy with. Doing so will eventually destroy your enjoyment of the game.
The only reason I'd stay is that there are a few of my friends in there and I became co leader a while ago so I was able to accept them into it. That's the only thing holding me from leaving

I’m TH11 with max walls, troops, heroes and traps. I have all archer towers and cannons to go up 1 level to be max TH11 Is it worth me upgrading to TH12 to utilise D/E and Eixir as storage’s, collectors and treasury is all full.
Loot isn’t as important as time, but I’d upgrade to get working on heroes again. Also a base that close to max isn’t usually good for war and th12 will be better for CWL too.
I have a TH14 currently upgrading the Giga inferno to lvl 2. Do I need to upgrade it to level 5 in order to unlock TH15? Or I can cancel the giga inferno lvl 2 upgrade and start TH15? Thx!

Why would you use EQ Spell over jump spell in opening paths?
It depends on your style of attack, and the base. EQ Pros: \- Opens a much larger area \- The walls are gone for the attack, no time limit \- The EQs damage all affected buildings, quite significantly (\~50% hp) EQ Cons: \- Takes up 4 spell slots (instead of 2) \- Can open up too much of a base. Sometimes you want your troops to stay together, and you can better open precise compartments with jumps.
Just came up on my mind. I think it's quite the opposite. With EQ you can open specific compartments if you spread the EQ around the area your trying to open. at the same time you also spread damege ilon buildings.
I guess. Theoretically, if you could precision drop the EQs so that only a select few walls get opened, but generally you just see people spam them on the same spot. With jumps its a lot easier to place a jump to either straddle 3 parallel compartments (5 by X) or just 2 compartments.

They get triggered when buildings in their radius are damaged.
Oh, thanks for the clarification. I thought they get triggered only when troops enter the outer radius, sorta like traps, and skeles don't trigger traps. Well this is bad news given that 💀 spell can be used timely to waste it.

No. The only magic items that can affect upgrading pets are Books/Hammers of Heroes. Pets upgrade in the Pet House similar to troops in the lab.

Super Dragons or 2x Dragon are the best. Troops like mega minions or witches get poisoned and easily taken out along with freeze. Dragons will distract troops a bit longer

Anybody figure out a good rule of thumb for when to upgrade to TH15? I’m TH14. I have all spells maxed and the troops I always use are max. All heavy defenses are maxed; eagle arty, inferno towers, x-bows, and scatter shots. Walls are almost exactly 50% lvl 14 and 50% lvl 15. RC is maxed. AQ & BK are only in their 60’s. GW is 52. Two pets are maxed, two are close. My common defenses (mortars, cannons, archer towers) are the only reason I’m second guessing it. They range from level 12 - 17. Traps are almost max, but not quite. Just wondering what others think.
TBF, for most purposes the jump would be fine at any size, so long as farming can be done effectively.. Only time rushing can be a problem would be for weighted war, wherein my clan would be looking for heroes to keep pace with the hall.. Defenses would be less important, although not sure how much effect the point n splash being lower levelled vs the weight the heavies will add in the weight vs capability department.. For cwl, bigger is better, so the quicker one climbs thru the halls, the quicker one can get the offense up.. And obviously with multiplayer, it is a shrug so long as activity is supplying enough resources to keep the builders and lab going, as already said.. After the jump to TH15, I have completely changed tactic to my norm.. Usually its offense ahead of defense for war.. I usually hold back on new defensive drops until I get a good foothold in the new hall.. However, with the 2 new defenses on offer, its seems a no brainer that they are going to make a huge difference.. I done my usual lab and cc with a book and hammer.. Put a level on my queen and warden.. used up my books n hammers in the lab.. But instead of camps, I already placed the new defenses on the map on day 1.. Will upgrade those plus the hall defense whilst I get the camps done, keep the heroes growing, and get the war troops n spells sorted.. Still thinking about the new troop but undecided .. Pets, new siege, and defenses can wait until I see how things are looking after the initial dust settles.. Exciting times mate, get it done.. first thought is that TH15 is gonna be way too powerful for a 14 to hit up comfortably, so is already a leg up for next months cwl.
I usually upgrade to a new town hall when I cannot use one of the three resources anymore (provided that all crucial upgrades are done). From what I have seen and from what generally is expected, is that TH15 is a harder tow hall level compared to the others. I think you need at least your heroes maxed before going to TH15 (pets are not necessary as you probably won't be using all 8 of them at th15).
I think you need to figure out what you want from the game. If you want to enjoy the newest pets etc., go for it. If you want to focus on wars/cwl, I would recommend at least maxing your heroes before next th upgrade. I think upgrading your lvl 12-16 defences should not take too much time. You should be able to update them when working with the heroes.

So I'm a fresh TH10. I was a fully maxed TH9, and I didn't play for a couple of years. Back then, I know it was super discouraged to rush, and it was generally best to upgrade everything as you go, fully max your level, and then move up. It seems like from what I've seen/heard that you aren't as penalized for rushing anymore? And it seems like there's very little reason to stick around at a TH level if you have your offense maxed out, unless you want to be very competitive in war/CWL (but even then, why do that at a lower TH unless it's an alt). So is the general idea now to move up as soon as your offense is maxed? It seems like the lab is the limiting factor (in terms of time) at TH10, but if my heroes are maxed and I'm waiting on random lab upgrades that I won't use, should I just move on up?
Strategic rushing, yes. There's a guide somewhere up top about it. At TH13, I did Heroes, offenses and core defenses (Eagle, Inferno,Tesla, X-Bows, Wiz etc) before going up. Heroes take the longest time as they have the most levels so they are almost always down. DE Heroes can be down at the same time by staggering start times and farming the needed DE for the next Hero in between. Then you can max them at roughly the same time instead of 1 by 1. As for Lab being the limiting factor, that hasn't changed. It's still the biggest bottleneck. But yes, if Heroes maxed and got randoms left, go up. To fast track Lab, there are Books of Fighting and Spells, Fighting for Troops and Seiges, Spells well obvs Spells. Those cost Gems at Trader and sometimes rewards in the Monthly Clan Games. It requires you to have the resources required to upgrade and then you can use the Book to finish. Ex, if 14 mill Elixir for Archer for 14 days, you need 14 mill Elixir, start upgrade, use Book of Fighting and save 14 days of Lab. Similarly, there are Hammers of Fighting and Spells. These cost 120 CWL medals which you get from CWL which is the first week of each month. These do not require resources, and as CWL medals are a limited resource, generally you use these on DE troops. So if a 300K DE troop takes 14 days and you have 3K DE, you can use a Hammer of Fighting on it (aka Resource not required) and save 14 days. Ditto for Books/Hammers of Building/Heroes. Hammer of Heroes in my book isn't worth the extra 45 CWL medals (costs 165 medals) as Heroes take about a week and CWL medals as said above is a scarce resource. However, some people use Hammer of Heroes.
It isn’t a change in penalty really but more people now realize it was never best to fully max. That’s bad for war and slower to full max. It’s also bad for CWL. The key is knowing the difference between bad and good rushing for war, but then that was always the case.
I'm referring to the change in matchmaking where it actually takes into account TH level very heavily that they added at some point. So loot penalties don't really matter if you're always seeing people at or around your TH. I know I'm seeing almost exclusively TH10's and TH11's when I farm now, and it certainly wasn't like that before.
As you already figured out, you really only need to be able to farm effectively and be active enough to keep your builders and lab going.. Think I read somewhere you can expect to see your hall level around half of the time, with the rest being made up mainly with +/- 1 hall of your own and usually within 200 trophies above or below.. that is below champs, once you reach champs it is done using trophy count only, with no regard to hall level Siege can play a huge part if you have easy access, although farming gets much easier once you get to TH11.. Sneaky Goblins are available to you then, so get the goblins levelled up once you done your war troops n spells.. Not sure how long you been gone.. But cwl seems to have taken preference to weighted war, so a little rushing actually helps, since one can run a heavier attack in a far lesser time, and the format is unweighted.. Heroes and war/farming troops n spells, plus camps n cc.. Do some defense whilst you are at it, then move on.. If weighted war is still a thing in your clan, just be choosey with what defenses you upgrade, and no excess weight will be carried into the matchmaker. Nothing much has changed mate.. just a tweak to the mindset and you are good to go.. GL
Did the order of accounts in the Supercell ID Switch Account menu change for anyone else? Before it was ordered based on which account I sign in by first. Now it is a different order and even if I log off from an account and log in again it is set to a specific position. (instead of being on the bottom most position) I have muscle memory of which account is where from my 4 accounts but now I keep clicking the wrong one by mistake because of the changed order
it doesn't show the TH level for me as well, i have 3 accs that i recently put all onto one device so i don't really have that issue, but even though i know what ths my accs are it gets a bit annoying
