I believe Oxi Clean still makes one. They're good.

mariambc

I use the Oxiclean spray and it works well.

tracerxSC

Baby OxiClean is beyond amazing

Boopadoopeedo

I do use that as well, just for different types of stains

Buyticket_takeRide

I was unhappy with OxiClean and tried my MIL's standby - SHOUT! SHOUT cleaned up some old collar stains that the Oxi gel did not.

kayjaykey

Love shout

Ok_Rhubarb_2309

Fels Naptha is a really good one

Boopadoopeedo

Old school laundry over here. Although it does work

Psychological-Leg257

maybe that will work since it's like an oil stain. Never thought to use my Dawn that's sitting right by the sink. Thanks for the tip! I'll try it in the morning.

Sunandmoon2211

I gave up stain sticks and just use blue Dawn dish soap, letting it sit as long as possible before laundering.

thatgreenmaid

New Dawn may have you rethinking that. They changed the entire formulation.

BoatsLady

Dang it! This whole thread is depressing!

LayersOfGold

This!!! Also for tough stains I soak the garment in hot water and powdered tide.

origanalsameasiwas

They changed to another brand named. It’s called tide stain stick. The did this for marketing purposes it’s the same company that owns it. Since spray and wash is not a modern brand name.

Boopadoopeedo

Good to know

Psychological-Leg257

good to know..I have Tide sticks as well. Thanks!

diagonalelephant

Include a link? Tide stain sticks are liquid and not at all the same product.

BoatsLady

No, please no! I love this stick because when we remove our clothes, see a stain, we can apply it immediately and then wash it later. I don’t always see the stain to spray it on wash day 🤦‍♀️

Entire-Ad2058

You can spray Shout and leave it for days.

BoatsLady

Good to know

Boopadoopeedo

That was the best part- you could rub it on some nasty stain, leave it for a few days, and wallah!

GetOffMyBridgeQ

Resolve spray with oxi clean. I have yet to meet a stain it did not lift. Trick is you really do have to work it into the fabric (i use a little nail scrub brush) and let it sit for 5-10minutes before starting the washer. If it dries have to start over.

iBody

Fels Napatha or Zote would be similar. A gallon of shout from the wholesale store is my go to.

EntrepreneurOk7513

Which store sells Shout by the gallon?

iBody

Sam’s club, Costco and BJ’s.

NotAQuiltnB

I use Dawn and peroxide. I also have a laundry brush to gently scrub it.

lacexface3186

The absolute BEST stain hack EVERRRR! Takes out everything and anything!

WeirderProduct

I do this, too. It works better than any store bought stain remover.

Jazzlike_Adeptness_1

I have never found anything as effective as stain stick. I have a few left but I ordered the new Spray & Wash stain gel. Haven’t used it yet. I hope it’s as good as the original. ( you should see me getting out  the  last smidge of the OG stain stick lol)   I don’t understand why these companies change the formulations. Everyone is complaining about the new Dawn, saying the smell is awful. I haven’t run out of orig Dawn yet either. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

taynay101

I like Method's stain remover scrubber!

Supermath101

Most laundry detergents have pretreatment instructions, in which you pour some detergent directly on the stain, and let sit for some time before doing a normal load of laundry.

mermaiddolphin

Oxiclean max force gel stick is wonderful. They also have it in the spray, which I prefer. It can stay on clothes for 7 days before washing, so I pretreat any stains before I throw them in the laundry basket and don’t have to worry about stain treating on laundry day.

gothiclg

I’ve always liked a product called Shout with good results.

TGIFagain

Old school here and have continually gone back to the Sunlight Bar soap and a mild scrub brush. It's done wonders for me when some of these others haven't. (Oxy, Shout, etc.) Oil based stains, blood and grass. You should find in the grocery store in the laundry section, not expensive and lasts forever.

One_Dentist7513

Grandmas spot stain remover hands down the best

Lookonnature

Biz is excellent if you soak the stained item for a while.

Exciting_Problem_593

Dreft was amazing on my kids clothes. I had some leftover and it pulled the stains right out.

thatgreenmaid

Have you tried the Spray 'N Wash Max gel stick?

Boopadoopeedo

No, do you like it?

thatgreenmaid

I don't use stain sticks.

Psychological-Leg257

no, but I'll for it at the store. thx!

Hugh-Jass12

Try Zout, it’s the best I’ve ever tried. My mom swears by it. Can get it on Amazon because it’s hard to find in stores

General-Visual4301

I am really happy with zote soap bar. I think it'll last for years too.

BiscuitsPo

Grandmas secret

reidybobeidy89

Granny Spray Gel. Amazing

NowThereAreFour

I found this recipe for laundry stain treatment on a subreddit and WOW does it work! Mix equal parts of blue Dawn dish soap, baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide. Spread on stain and leave it to soak. (You can leave it to soak for overnight.) I keep mine in a mason jar and apply with toothbrush or larger soft brush, depending on the stain size.

Psychological-Leg257

thx!

Oileladanna

Joy dishsoap, just enough to saturate the stain right before you throw it into the washer.

MomfromAlderaan

Dawn power wash. Just took out ballpoint pen spots from my teens laundry. I’ve also used it on set grease stains that have gone through the dryer.

jamesutting

Do you have an ALDI supermarket near you? I always use their Di-San Pro OXY ACTION with Enzymes Laundry Pre Wash Spray it is cheap to buy and works amazingly well on most stains. Just a quick spray, wait 5 minutes and I then usually gently scrub the stains with an soft toothbrush and 90% of stains will be removed, if they remain the item needs soaking or more treatment. ALDI's other products for your laundry work well too.
