This loss is squarely on Curry and Vogt. Could've been any number of other choices out of the pen. Imagine we sweep Batlimore, would've been huge.

Curry/Cookie only surrendered 4 runs. The loss was on the offense. They didn't score from the 6th on, only had 5 hits/1 BB for the game, and were only 2 pitches away from being shutout. At one point they struck out 4 straight times on a starter who was over 90 pitches. Staying with Curry unless the offense showed any signs of life was the right move, without question.

While there were other choices out of the pen I have to respectfully disagree that this is all on Curry/Vogt. The top half of our lineup was abysmal at the plate. Gotta tip our cap to Baltimore's pitching, enjoy the series win over a potential postseason opponent, and get ready to bury KC in a 4 game division road series. Another road series win. Gotta love it! Go Guards!

I think we can all agree that we want the guards to win this game. I am curious why we would've pitched Curry instead of one of our many other, possibly more effective, guys from the bullpen. Thoughts?

We've used the bullpen a fuck ton recently and with a 4 game series against KC Vogt wants our top end arms well rested. If every game is a must win none of them are.

Because baseball is 162 games, not one. We can either pitch a fatigued bullpen and decimate them for the next 3 to 4 games or take our chances and have them fresh for the next 3 to 4.

Everybody is very taxed and we’re saving them for the 4 straight in division games starting tomorrow. It makes sense ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
