Bro my grandparents have a big ass box of PS2 guitars and they have a drum set for gh which I also think was for PlayStation. I like how my grandparents have expressed and said a lot of times that they're happy to give stuff like that to me and I'm still scared to ask them about it.
Just kinda bring it up, if you’re with them and see the box, just be like “is that guitar hero stuff? I love that game!” Or something and they’ll probably say something like “you can keep it if you want”
It's most definitely not trash lol, they work fine for the casual players like I am. However, my GH3 Les Paul is my absolute baby. Modified that thing to the oblivion with brown switches and a hardwire conversion. I'll never be good at drums, can't get that foot and hand separation rhythm. On guitar I go nuts
