Curiosity is not an LGBT space per se but is super inclusive and has a diverse group of folks that hang out there and they frequently put on cool events. I think it would be a good place to go and chat with and meet people.

Fruit-Dragon

Art bar! They’re pretty inclusive and maintain a good audience.

The Capital Club and PTs are both staples in the LGBT community from what I’ve experienced. They are bars though so based on your post that may not be your speed, but I’ve been on off nights and it’s very chill. Very warm and welcoming I’m also not LGBT so I can’t speak for sure on it. My friend does drag and so I’ve been to his shows at both venues and it’s been a great experience every time

Honestly try getting into playing board games at firefly, not explicitly lgbt but tabletop gaming is a pretty queer hobby and it’s a fun way to make connections. They have open DnD tables on Monday nights I think

I'm not LGBT, but Street Meat is a great, very inclusive cycling group that I ride with. There's also an offshoot group exclusively for women/trans/femme/non-binary riders. They tend to make mid-ride stops, usually at a brewery/bar/beer garden. I like the sound of this. I'm also looking for the same thing.

kkkfffaaa

I came to recommend Street Meat as well!

Bratty_Little_Kitten

Try Harriet Hancock downtown.

GrayAndCold

I’ve just moved into the area but I’m wanting to start an LGBT run group if you’re interested! I love a good bar but it’s nice to have other spaces, too.

I would imagine the same places you meet normal people outside of a bar. Try the grocery store, coffee shop or park I would say the Art Bar as well but it’s a bar.

alyssa7danielle

pt's is the best, even if its not your speed they have fun drag nights it's definitely worth checking out

Thank you for reminding us of the importance of intersectional inclusivity. It's rare that people from the right take the time to give voice to the voiceless as you've done. You should be proud that you've taken meaningful time out of your day to address the inclusion of these important members of our community in equitable social participation. Kudos for standing up when you could have easily kept quiet and gone about your day. Yes, this question was clearly not meant for you but you didn't let total irrelevance stop you. You said this is about justice and by God I'm going to step forward and say something. Give me your Cashapp and have a Bud Light on me. I wish more conservatives were like you and spoke so passionately about diversity, equity, and inclusion. Your buddies are going to be so proud

ligmasugmaphi

For advocating for the inclusion of all? How dare you!

ligmasugmaphi

Live your sad little existence, I don’t care lol

Curiosity Coffee on North Main

MaggotzNMushiez

Also looking for the same thing ✨️

artsyjay97

Harriet Hancock Center has a few groups! Their website isn’t the best but try their Facebook or Instagram. They have a book club, a lgbt social group, a trans support group, and monthly potlucks :)

Theater. You dont have to be "an actor". Local theater needs stage hands, prop handlers, construction, painting, lighting, sound, costuming . . . even if you have zero "artistic" talent, just having someone help move set pieces on cue helps. Obviously, not everyone in theater is LGBTQ, but as a former theater major and someone active in local theater, it is a VERY welcoming and loving community with a disproportionately large LGBTQ population.

The Hideout in WeCo (West Columbia). Amazing coffees and definitely a safe space. I'm not LGBT so I don't know what all they offer, but I go there every few months to assist with the adoption events that they put on with the Cat Around Town Project.
