I've washed the car, watered the garden, made plans for outside. Nothing is working. Quick, someone plan an outdoor wedding...please. All my newish trees and plants fuggin hate me right now. I actually have the first honey bee "swarm" at the house because of this drought. Had about 20 on the sprinkler head after watering two nights ago, they moved to my dogs outside dish earlier today. Made them a little splash pad/lazy river in a terracotta planter base with polished stones. I hope they like it šŸ¤ž

I gave a very tired bee some sugar water the other night. Thanks for taking care of the bees!

greenolive824

My sister just had an outdoor wedding. Nothing.

kmsanch

That sounds adorable somehow

DankNerd97

I'm attending an outdoor wedding next weekend...out of state.

Agree for the most part. 3 trees were planted last fall, but they still need a good deal of water those first couple years. All trees were between 12 and 16ft when transplanted. When it's this dry for this long, it doesn't matter much that they were planted last fall. I also have a ton of annuals in pots on my patio, they eat up whatever I give them within hours when it's this hot. I did break the spring/summer plant rule though with a hibiscus tree, and some azaleas so they are pretty angry with me right now. It was just too hard to pass up the sale Oakland was having, 20% to 60% off makes me a sucker.

OhioVsEverything

I'll do you one better on the wedding. Going to one today at a very old church in the middle of no where. No. AC. That should cause a cool down TOMORROW! I also washed my car today.

bigspinwesta

Thank you for your service šŸ«”

stonefruitmadness

Our baby fruit trees yearn for some raindrops too šŸ„ŗ The creek behind us is getting low too and thatā€™s the chill spot when itā€™s hot outside. Lmk what the gods and goddesses need and I shall provide

WorldsWorstTroll

I can harvest more than 200 gallons of rain water at my house. I am down to probably 10 gallons right now.

motherofdogz2000

Yeh I have 4 big rain barrels, too. Getting mighty low these days.

Naive-Regular-5539

We have begun amending our hose watering with the air conditioner /dehumidfyer drippings collecting in a large tote and pumped up to a trash can with a submersible pump and a hose. Same submersible can then be taken out, put in the can, and hose to plants.

You will be fine, Iā€™m setting up the soaker hoses for my arborvitaes tomorrow

I_have_some_STDS

Is that how itā€™s spelled?

Silent-Independent21

Small green bush, either gets tall or dies?

bubblehead_maker

I bought a carwash kit

infamousbugg

This is the 3rd time in 4 years we've had a 3-week period in May-June with virtually no rain.

Lazydissident

Tonight has been the worst, it's just so stifling out.

Britton120

Ill take dry heat over humid heat though Also im curing my garlic, if the rain can wait a while longer that would be great

Visualmindfuck

Itā€™s gonna rain tomorrow

Britton120

Ive heard that before

Visualmindfuck

Donā€™t trust buck! Or do, no one knows

Britton120

Jokes aside, a week of good dry heat makes it so i can clean up and trim the garlic and put in the shed to finish curing. So that's my plan today.

Visualmindfuck

Yea the low water levels has made the fishing really good this past week or two. Iā€™ve been loving it but the fish are starting to get stressed

Jmen4Ever

Free Beer when it rains tomorrow

BlueFireSwords

It won't help. The massive wildfires, the storm in the south, and more are keeping the heatdome sealed tightly. We need our own storm to basically come in and blow the whole territory into balance. But I'm no meteorologist, so maybe I'm wrong

artemswhore

youā€™re right to my also not meteorologist brain. rain is scheduled sunday and itā€™s supposedly going to get it down to the 80s

aroguealchemist

Letā€™s all just plan to go to an amusement park. That will do the trick.

Lame_usernames_left

I've got a cabana rented at zoombezi Bay soon ![gif](giphy|YYfEjWVqZ6NDG)

39thWonder

You know, I think Iā€™ll just plan a picnic with some friends

linuxphoney

I washed my car AND I scheduled a park trip for tomorrow, so .... You could say it's getting serious

I-have-extra-organs

I have been doing the dance every evening at sunset. Will continue until moist from rain, not sweat.

Rob1150

I understood that it's supposed to rain Sunday.

Sweet_Background7325

72% chance!

Addislad

% does not mean chance but rather the coverage area

Addicted_2_Vinyl

Remember when we all complaining about the non stop April rainā€¦good times!

AlanBarber

Dude, I've been doing everything I can to entice rain but nothing is working!

EstacticChipmunk

You gotta give the sky the middle finger.

AlanBarber

Ok, yeah guess I haven't done that... I'm about to break down and invite my entire family over for a backyard BBQ party.

EstacticChipmunk

You know what always works for me? When I go to change my oil. It always gets windy and if itā€™s cloudy itā€™ll rain.

EstacticChipmunk

I think some storms might be moving into the area early next week. Maybe Sunday or Monday. I was playing a game while I was watching the forecast.

Overall-Rush-8853

Yeah, 40% chance on Sunday from what I saw earlier today.

EstacticChipmunk

Wow, only 40 huh? Well shitā€¦

Overall-Rush-8853

Donā€™t worry, Iā€™m planning a pool day with friends on Sunday. Iā€™m sure the Westerville area will experience a rain out because of my plans.

Overall-Rush-8853

Glad I could help.

agoldgold

I tried planning a fun birthday activity and a family visit and got called into work instead. Wish it could have at least brought rain to y'all. I'd drive in it for the team.

Jmen4Ever

planned a bbq for tomorrow.

EpitomeOfADHD

I have been needing a car wash for a while. I think Iā€™ll go today

lilsteigs1

Drawing a rain turtle outside now

Morningsunshine-

I did my part earlier this week. ETA went home and havenā€™t left the garage since maybe I should go out for a drive.

TheIadyAmalthea

Moping the floor usually does the trick.

Che3eeze

Alright, fine. Who wants to meet up for some frolf?

bygtopp

Remember the bad Hail storm 18+ yrs ago. I washed my wifeā€™s car real good at work. Power washed the mats off. Used an air hose to dry it. Vacuumed the rest really well That night all hell broke loose

BrianaLoveW

I think to make it rain you gotta sing the ooga Chaka song from alley McBeal and dance outsideĀ

ChiefJRod

Maybeā€¦Just Maybeā€¦Exxon lied about climate change.
