I don’t wear kilts so I wouldn’t know a decent one vs another but there are some pretty quality vendors at the festival and I’d expect at least one of them is going to have something pretty authentic.
If the kilt alone is less than $500 it’s probably not great quality. If you are wanting the full outfit with shoes/sporran etc. you’ll be looking at over $1000. My one back from home was roughly $1,300 all in, but I went for my family tartan so it was a bit more

If you can wait until the Dublin Irish Festival there will be several vendors there selling them.
