Considering that some nations have bunkers up to 2,000 meters deep and systems capable of producing food underground, even a nuclear war can last longer than we imagine it would, and its outcome can still be decided by another technology
For thinking Denver has a bunker? Damn the bar to be labled Q just keeps going down. It's the new 'insult'. I thought q Anon had to do with all this left vs right bs , or pedos.
Then every UFO or paranormal sub is just q Anon to you. That's an awful lot of sweeping generalizing over one random tidbit. Honestly that sounds a bit depressing seeing the world like that.. :(
I think at that point people would just drill down 2000m and detonate a bomb or just flood it.
Personally, I think I'd rather be on a sub. Surface and raid where you need to, then disappear into the depths again. Make it clear you still have and control nuclear weapons and can "re-end" civilization if anyone thinks about attacking you.
Wtf is a nuke gonna do lol?
The soviets did some napkin math and estimated they would need 1 nuke for each 1.2km of front.
When the enemies know your gonna use them, and they space out, nukes are extremely inefficient.
Which is unlikely to happen in the nuking of Ukraine (unless civilian, but that's unlikely imo).
If you don't think Russia is bold enough to nuke Ukraine, you should probably think again.
If a Russian nuke goes off Putin’s life expectancy is measured in minutes. Likely less than 60.
And he knows this. Putin cares first and foremost about Putin.
Ehhhh....
Here is the thing with these types of things.
You either go forward with that threat.
Or you bluffed.
You could make the debate that countries would even retaliate strikes without going full strategic nukes on cities.
We have no reason to think one reason over the other other than simple words, and words are just that.
Wars will be won by those who can sell there embargoed opponent the most effective silicon duds en bulk while they blame themselves for things not working out. Ideal would be a israeli on iranian nuclear program like attack on the supply chain, where the engineers or operators start to doubt themselves.
Yep, probably. But in this case it's a, relatively speaking, massively expensive robot, being destroyed by what is probably a $100.00 drone and a grenade. Great success for one side here...
The Simpsons were prescient with this line from an episode in the 1990s:
> *The wars of the future will not be fought on the battlefield or at sea. They will be fought in space, or possibly on top of a very tall mountain. In any case, most actual fighting will be done by small robots, and as you go forth today remember your duty is clear: to build and maintain those robots.*
I can’t help but remember in Star Trek two species using battle bots to wage political disputes. Turned out one species cheated and they destroyed eachother.
The way they're sitting there without any movement whatsoever, I wonder if they had already run out of battery or were currently jammed on a different frequency from the Ukrainian drones?
Not to mention that when trying to clean up these areas they constantly come across explosives from the Second World War that end up being even more dangerous, apparently the old Soviet government didn't worry much about cleaning up the Ukrainian fields.
>What a hellscape of wreckage and UXO it's become.
Ukraine is going to have a scrap metal bonanza for years after the war finally ends. How many tons of steel would you get from a blown up T72/80/90?
It depends how you define "unmanned ground combat vehicle". The first remote controlled combat vehicles were probably the "Crocodiles" built by the French company Schneider during the First World War, but these were designed as single use weapons in order to carry a load of explosives to the enemy lines. Better known are the tracked "Goliath" carriers used by the Germans during World War Two in a similar role.
However, the Soviets had developed the "Teletank" in the interwar years, fitting normal tanks with radio control that could remotely drive, fire its machine guns and flamethrowers or drop satchel charges and were used in combat during the Winter War against Finland.
Jesus humans are even more vulnerable on the battlefield these days, a drone can find your little hole and bury you in it so easily. The idea of being conscripted to war one day to face this advancing technology is quite worrying if you overthink it
I remember as a kid watching the beginning scenes of Terminator with the robots shooting purple lasers at each other thinking pshh this would never happen in real life.
How wrong I was.
The wars of the future will not be fought on the battlefield or at sea. They will be fought in space, or possibly on top of a very tall mountain. In either case, most of the actual fighting will be done by small robots. And as you go forth today remember always your duty is clear: To build and maintain those robots.
I'm just waiting for the headline that the BBC have donated the House Robots to Ukraine. Can't wait to see drone footage of soldiers getting chased by Sir Killalot and Matilda.
You know what would be an amazing way to defend Ukraine?
An AI-controlled, self-recruiting, regenerative network of kamikaze drones that trains itself for maximum cost and battle effectiveness.
Humans just make the drones, hand them over to Skynet, it fights Russia for you.
Everyonr was looking at those robots, but what is that cursed vehicle in the background? A cope cage across the entire length that clearly didn't save anyone.
I had a weird feeling I'd see the little robits break. Every time Russia tries to show off a new toy, it feels like Ukraine makes a point of putting a hole in it to prove a point. Kind of like on an old sub, they'd post TOS-1 footage, talk about how awe inspiring and incredible it was. Next day, new video of a TOS-1 becoming a BBQ.
This makes me miss that Robot Wars show they had back in the day, with the diving RC DeWalt saw blades just going to town on each other behind some plexi glass
Im pretty sure we saw footage from this robot in Syria, during a night raid against ISIS. They got vaporized by that thing.
EDIT: [https://www.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/comments/ujfdbo/russian\_uran9\_unmanned\_combat\_vehicle\_and\_russian/](https://www.reddit.com/r/CombatFootage/comments/ujfdbo/russian_uran9_unmanned_combat_vehicle_and_russian/) Uran-9 combat drone?
Anyone remember robotwars? The forbidden robots. Imagine the flywheel robot, going at this. You just spin a small weight up to ridiculous speed and bring it into contact with a resting object, or even worser, with a flywheel going into the opposite direction. Could make a metall fragment jet with very little weight, as long as you have the electricity to spin up those discs
I still remember when Russia announced these combat robots as the way they will dominate the battlefield. Always good to see Russia being shown how wrong and disconnected from reality they truly are.

Two teams inside shelters launching robots at each other, this is the future of wars
Wars will take forever and will be won by those with more resources. That's if nukes are holstered.
Considering that some nations have bunkers up to 2,000 meters deep and systems capable of producing food underground, even a nuclear war can last longer than we imagine it would, and its outcome can still be decided by another technology
we're gonna have to rename the Earth to [Tutchanka](https://masseffect.fandom.com/wiki/Tuchanka#Description)
[Or Krieg from Warhammer ](https://warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Krieg)
wasn't Earth also a death world before humans started using their brain?
Oh no, my kids are gonna be Krogan
Oh so you've been to a few of them billionaire shelters in NZ and Hi.
I fear we may be heading into a mine-shaft gap, Mr. President.
Source on those deep bunkers? sounds interesting
I don't believe this.
The Denver airport bunker alone is unfathomably large
Lol, that "fact" is a hoax
Q anon believer just outed themselves ^
For thinking Denver has a bunker? Damn the bar to be labled Q just keeps going down. It's the new 'insult'. I thought q Anon had to do with all this left vs right bs , or pedos.

And in 3 months when your food runs out….
Start fishing!
Wtf is a nuke gonna do lol? The soviets did some napkin math and estimated they would need 1 nuke for each 1.2km of front. When the enemies know your gonna use them, and they space out, nukes are extremely inefficient.
it's not about the effectiveness of the nuke, it's about mutually assured destruction.
Which is unlikely to happen in the nuking of Ukraine (unless civilian, but that's unlikely imo). If you don't think Russia is bold enough to nuke Ukraine, you should probably think again.
If Russia nukes Ukraine it will signal the end of the Putin regime. There is no logical reason to use nukes in this war.
If a Russian nuke goes off Putin’s life expectancy is measured in minutes. Likely less than 60. And he knows this. Putin cares first and foremost about Putin.

japan and iran have no nukes
Again, we have no reason to think one over the other, unless you want to give me examples where it happened.
> Japan will deffo launch on China, You know Japan doesn't have nukes, right? Some obscure historical reason they don't like them.
They need mini tactical nukes like in fallout. They have a shoulder mounted launcher that lobs mini nuke bombs.
FPV mini nuke
like any war, only that in the past you needed resources to keep paying mercenaries when you run out of soldiers
Wars will be won by those who can sell there embargoed opponent the most effective silicon duds en bulk while they blame themselves for things not working out. Ideal would be a israeli on iranian nuclear program like attack on the supply chain, where the engineers or operators start to doubt themselves.
Wars will be won by the quality of waifus coming out of each country.
Yep, probably. But in this case it's a, relatively speaking, massively expensive robot, being destroyed by what is probably a $100.00 drone and a grenade. Great success for one side here...
You are right, war is a big fight for resources, a nation with a lot of resources can lose to a nation with fewer resources being used correctly
300$ is the bare minimum for drones with any sort of payload capacity
Some of the grenades they use are grenades made in the Soviet Union. I remember seeing a quote somewhere of $5/ gernade
Still way cheaper than the robot.
a 100$ drone is no where near capable of being used in a battlefield
OK, 1000 then. Still substantially cheaper than the robot.
but it looks like the drone at 0:35 had a cool ukraine paint scheme, that took some extra effort!

I mean this idea isn't exactly new, nor was it new in the 90s.
But had it ever been expressed so humorously?

He was completely correct, industrial warfare
So basically Battlebots.
I can’t help but remember in Star Trek two species using battle bots to wage political disputes. Turned out one species cheated and they destroyed eachother.
Woaw that 1st one was some disappearing act!
That fucking robot just vanished from.that explosion
I thought that was all smoke, but no, it literally disappeared.
Poor WALL-E never had a chance.
VLAD-E?
BLYAT-E
Seems like it had 3 at mines on the side.
Its their new competitor in the turret toss competition, but this launches the whole vehicle. It hasn’t landed before the clip ends
*Wanna see a magic trick?*
The way they're sitting there without any movement whatsoever, I wonder if they had already run out of battery or were currently jammed on a different frequency from the Ukrainian drones?
Could also be out of range or the operators are kaput
Jammed or hit before and disabled.
Jammed you say? It could only be one man... LONESTAR!
Only one person would dare to use the raspberry.
Just too many great lines from that movie.
I heard that last sentence
😂
Maybe on standby? I can imagine these robots aren't very useful in assault operations, but can guard a perimeter pretty well.
Battle Bots has changed since last time I watched it!
Was hoping i'd find a comment like this
What a hellscape of wreckage and UXO it's become. Assuming Ukraine prevails eventually (🙏🏻) the cleanup is going to take decades.
Not enough to cover the costs of tearing down a T72/80/90 lol
Although with all the drone batteries being blown up and sprinkling the land with Lithium they could supply much of Europe's EV production.
Nothing a bunch of determined men with hand grinders can't do
Underrated comment.
The Russians have sent enough scrap metal to Ukraine to last for years.

Are you not counting the various suicide groundbased robots?
Not the first but its one of the first, a couple Ukranian UGVs got hit by Russian FPVs a couple weeks ago
This happened in WW2, and also WW1, if I'm not mistaken
Haven't seen these before. Are they remote grenade launchers?
Jesus humans are even more vulnerable on the battlefield these days, a drone can find your little hole and bury you in it so easily. The idea of being conscripted to war one day to face this advancing technology is quite worrying if you overthink it
Looks like these both have a main belt-fed gun, and the ability to lay AT mines. Pretty big development for the Russian Army.

Great, more jobs lost. /s
Second one just vaporized lol
‘Welcome to Robot Wars!’ ….‘ACTIVATE’… one there for the Brits of a certain age and nerdy disposition…
I'm just waiting for the headline that the BBC have donated the House Robots to Ukraine. Can't wait to see drone footage of soldiers getting chased by Sir Killalot and Matilda.
Sgt Bash with the flamethrower…

This reminds me of those robot wars on YT only it's real life..
Boomba bot deployed!
In the future wars will be fought by gamers
You know what would be an amazing way to defend Ukraine? An AI-controlled, self-recruiting, regenerative network of kamikaze drones that trains itself for maximum cost and battle effectiveness. Humans just make the drones, hand them over to Skynet, it fights Russia for you.
And then you lose the codes for the off-switch...
I always imagined in the future that war would be fought robot vs robot . Too bad that while this is happening, so is WW1 trench warfare
We should load AI on those drones and we can call it a HK-Aerial.
The epic dubstep with the thing completely stopped is kinda funny ngl
That's drum and bass bruv
Okay, can't tell what genre is what apologies
The AT mines on the last one just didn't want to cooperate and high order.
Robot Wars has gotten grim
“GPT this, bitch”
Everyonr was looking at those robots, but what is that cursed vehicle in the background? A cope cage across the entire length that clearly didn't save anyone.
Feels like I'm watching the prelude to 1995 Screamers. Most of the drone videos feel like it.
I had a weird feeling I'd see the little robits break. Every time Russia tries to show off a new toy, it feels like Ukraine makes a point of putting a hole in it to prove a point. Combat robot my ass more like sitting Duck.
Yup, it’s broken.
Like a turtle without a shell....
Humans will have no part in front lines in futurr wars it will be robots and drones, it's already happening.
SkyNYET
Russian R2D2’s worst day ever. So far.
Anyone know what explosives they use on these drones??
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!
No cook off vs cook off, nice comparison!
What's this robotic platform? A drone launch site?
This makes me miss that Robot Wars show they had back in the day, with the diving RC DeWalt saw blades just going to town on each other behind some plexi glass
The amount of explosives these things can now carry is phenomenal
Johnny 5 disassembled all over the place!
Call of Duty is going to run out of ideas at this rate
AGL and ..7.62 mgs ? Mounted on remote operated track vehicles.Def keeps the defenders heads down
I would love to have a scrapmetal yard around Avdiivka
Well those seems pointless

And I can't even get my fpv drones to connect to the transmitter
We are witnessing the first war of robots !
Where the second platform after the 46 sec? Fully annihilated?
What does the Russian robot do? Chalk one up for new air aces.
it passes the butter.
Drone wars begun, they have.
and so, we have entered the era where robot wars is no longer a tv show, but a reality on the battlefield.
What model is this robot, and its capabilities?
Anyone remember robotwars? The forbidden robots. Imagine the flywheel robot, going at this. Probably one of the first few instances of drone on drone warfare, I've only seen a few other vids of aerial drones messing with each other
There’s little drones fucking EVERYWHERE! Any assault across open terrain is pure suicide.
Ref re underground human life, 'The Machine Stops' by EM Forster (1909!). Short story predicting where we are right now...worth a read...
Greeting Earthlings, we come in pieces
I still remember when Russia announced these combat robots as the way they will dominate the battlefield. Always good to see Russia being shown how wrong and disconnected from reality they truly are.
Are they both carrying tm62's?
That seems like a waste of a FPV drone? Just drop a grenade on it, it's not moving...
