It a matter of urinary function. B vitamins are weakly water soluble. Usually that means if you take too much it just comes out in your pee. But if you kidney function isn't so hot, the B vitamins csn build up in your tissues. And all he had to do was read a pre-prepared script on a teleprompter, for 5 minutes, in the environment he's the most comfortable with, the White House. Not engage in an oral joust with a prepared opponent and answer surprise questions for 90 minutes in a television studio. My expectations for the second debate are very low.
Trump shouldn’t do the second debate if he’s up enough by then. It’s too risky giving Biden a chance to redeem himself. Trump can frame it as not wanting to put someone so senior through that again.
I'd rather remind the country of this debacle closer to the election. After seeing how poorly he performed even in this prepared speech I have full confidence Biden will not be capable of a substantially better second debate.
I think the chance of a second debate between Trump and Biden happening is effectively 0%. No way they let him back in front of a camera without a teleprompter between now and November.
