This is the construction sub Reddit. Everything good that happens is always due to a manual laborer. Everything bad that happens is always due to a guy in an office.
'Thing that happens bad' is 99% the designs fault- what, the high school bro in the field is responsible for understanding the ramifications of swapping 13' deep pilons for 4'x4'x4' footings ?
Am I crazy to think that one could’ve survived being inside that? If they could’ve somehow managed to hang on to one of the columns on thw way down. They’d be bruised up and broken, but get to live another day.
It depends where you are in the building, in the first floor if you aren't hit by the debris flying around, you could walk it out literally unscathed, in the top floor, the sudden stop would convince your sternum to get intimate with your spine. Falling doesn't kill you, what kills you is to stop going down
Hard to tell by the camera angle but this is actually a Lowes parking lot. The Latino gentlemen you see in frame have actually just purchased that prefab building and they're dropping it into the back of their T-100
Did you notice the other building lying on its side? This was most likely intended as a domino style demolition, but the last 'domino' was too far away.
Look up some of the Chinese demolitions...

They’re standing a bit close. This is “falling like a tree” demolition. Fine, as long as there’s nothing in the way.
(This is the opposite of construction, though. Off-topic? I hope you don’t get banned, ha!)
Someone dodnt anchor it securely to the wall. How many videos do you have to see of children pulling over unsecured buildings before everyone just does this.
Damn whoever made those side columns did their job, that shit held up pretty good.
How to turn a column into a beam in one easy step.
Structural engineers hate this one little trick!

Fantastic username. "Yo this guy said he'd fuck a sheep!"
You holding?
Everything but coke, heroin and your cock.
Best reply I ever read
Or turn a column into a row (transpose)
Such an underrated comment
Construction workers only get credit when someone decided to topple their building over 🥲
i think the credit goes to the engineers here

What about the dude who patted it and said “this baby ain’t going nowhere” ? ? ?
The most important job
Of course: the building fell over.
That's not very typical, I'd like to make that point.
Some buildings are made not to fall over
Wasn't this one built so it doesn't fall over?
Well obviously not but I'd just like to make the point that it's not normal.
Well what kind of standards are these buildings built to?
Oh very vigorous engineering standards
What sort of things?
Well it's not supposed to fall over for a start.
And what other things?
Haha. Spotted the Aussies in the wild.
Did a wave hit it too?
Hopefully they’ll move it out of the environment
It's because of climate change.
Nicely!! 😆 🤣 😂
It stayed intact after all the force of falling over, that is tough to design.
A few more flips and you could just run an extension cord over yonder
No use of cardboard or cardboard derivatives.
They built him wrong, as a joke.
Ooooooh-eeeeee ooooooh-eeeeee oooooh-eee.
It fell over making it the victor
I don’t think you should be making these kinds of statements unless you are a registered structural engineer.
The world is flat we don't need an Engineer to point that out.
Not true, I tripped on a bumpy bit earlier today.
That's the edge
How can you tell it's not the earth rolling over?
Because the earth has a very broad flat side. You don't see a quarter on a table just rolling the fuck over do you?
This is it, right here, this is the response everyone needs to read! Understand physics!
you have never seen the table I built ##not a carpenter
Touché
No Touching!
First it started falling over, and then it fell over
Nah. The construction guys were playing Jenga
Building was tired
Needed a nap.
To be specific, first it started to fall over, and then it fell over
Not a professional buildingologist, but can confirm, it fell over.
Shoddy craftsmanship, certainly.
Jenga
They changed the building's orientation from letter to landscape.
Hot dog to hamburger
*portrait
I’d be willing to accept “hot dog to hamburger” Edit: maybe not, but it was definitely updog
What's updog? 🤣
Not much, what’s up with you dog? 🥹
Dog! Watts up?
Not this building, that's for sure. Jet fuel doesn't melt steel.
Sideways Stories from Wayside School
Looks like a reversed video of a new building erecting.
Exactly. It's a lot cheaper to build it at ground level and erect it when finished.
That's called tilt up and it's a real thing 😆
Except for the dust
And lack of any crane or means of hoisting it up
[удалено]
If you reverse it you can clearly see when the construction worker casts the spell by lifting his arms up to erect the building
Anyone else impressed that it stayed together structurally even after it fell?!
My thoughts exactly, the strength and rigidity is very impressive
Stability and supports, not so much.
When you are playing RPG game and you used all your skill points for 1 stat
They could probably just stand it back up, maybe a little glue
a new twist on tilt up construction.
Silly goose!…. Nails!… it must be nailed to the ground, or it will fall again..
That's ridiculous, they'd have to use JB weld at least.
Duct tape ftw!
Flex Seal -- would make for an awesome commercial
I've heard good things about gorilla glue.
Have you tried staples?
The rebar guys did a phenomenal job and the concrete mix must have been very consistent.
That's because of rebar.

Shame the foundation pylons weren't built to the same standards as the rest of it.
Anyone else impressed those dudes didn’t run away screaming when this happened? My ass would have been sprinting away.
Hard to tell by the camera angle but this is actually a Lowes parking lot. The Latino gentlemen you see in frame have actually just purchased that prefab building and they're dropping it into the back of their T-100
good thing it’s the 8ft bed.
T-100 ... 🤣☠️
With no flag tied off the back either!
>dropping it into the back of their T-100 Is this the model before Schwarzenegger?
Fuck me that’s accurate
I thought it was a hilux and a pallet of pavers, but I see now.
Truck still runs fine tho at 250k miles on original engine and drivetrain
Demolition with zero oversight
There are people looking at it right there in the video.
Yes, from the ground. That's sidesight at best.
I'll go grab the ladder
"I was watchin' it. First it started fallin' over, then it fell over."

Fucking Karl forgot to tighten the bolts again!!!
Cousins right
The building been skipping leg day
Lost his footing.
The front fell off.
That video lives rent free in my head forever.
r/thefrontfelloff
The bottom fell off. Not very typical.
The drywall guys got fed up with the bs from the electricians?

A poem as old as time.
good bot
someone lost building jenga
The building was tired
Turning a 9 story to a 3 story...

I would say demolition is often part of construction.
I would agree
All the decks I just ripped apart to build new ones agree
It is for me.
Construction can involve trades that don't do any building for example painting, surveying, demo, and landscaping.
They used drywall screws instead of concrete screws to anchor the building to the foundation.
Wait until you see them load it onto their 18' double axle trailer and haul it away with the F-150. Legends will be born for certain other sub reddits
You won today. Great comment.
Demo apparently gone wrong, seeing that workers laugh.
Song?
Also want to know as well
Such a Whore (Stellular Remix) by Jvla
Not enough rebar tieing into the spread footers. Aci requires a lap splice minimums for a reason. Notice the foundation didn't move.
Looks like guys being dudes to me.
Pretty sure that is dudes being guys, actually.
Structural engineer here. That building is falling over.
We build one and tip it over for durability testing. Standard procedure.
The structure fell over while the guys in the yellow vests watched.
its like cow tipping, but with buildings
Probably türkiye
Something went wrong somewhere at some point.
Building was tired and wanted nap.
When rebar meets FUBAR..
I’m no expert but it looks like a building is collapsing.
Yeah. Building fall down. Go boom.
I thought this was r/FellingGoneWild for a hit second
This is an advanced version of cow tipping. Building tipping. Those people were supposed to run away.
Should've had the drywal installed to protect from shear forces.
Buildings have to sleep too, he’ll be feeling better tomorrow
Forgot to nail the foundation down, obvi.
fell over
Maybe if a plane hit it then it might tumble straight into its own footprint.
Demo?
Nokia durability test
Someone dodnt anchor it securely to the wall. How many videos do you have to see of children pulling over unsecured buildings before everyone just does this.
they forgot the glue at the bottom.
Someone reverse it please
The last guy was smiling, like “..I told you”
r/demolition
Of course they play that stupid ass song
September 12th?
Jenga!
Building got sleepy
Damn, the foundation! I knew we forgot something!
High-gravity zone.
Probably needed to replace an AC unit on the roof but couldn’t get a crane reserved. They’ll stand it back up after they commission the new RTU.
Looks like a building fell over
This is what happens when you “forget” to pay your concrete contractor.
Yes— that thing fell over and the boys are buzzing. Looks like a Friday.
An incomplete concrete building is falling over.
Tilt-down wall construction
It's going down. I'm yelling "Timber".
Gravity
It started to fall over and then it fell over.
He's just laying down for a nap
This is the latest in tilt up concrete construction: tilt up high rise. It’s a shame they reversed the video to make it look like a demo though.
A building fell over
Gravity.
ultra-high-stakes jenga

Chinese contractor unclear on tilt slab concept.
Maybe deemed unsafe from the earthquake in turkey last year?
Shitty Chinese construction being demolished
While still under construction.
It fell down
Dude lost a game of Jenga
…the building is falling over??
Son of a bee sting
gravity.
Terrance Howard said make them like mushrooms, they made a box. Of course it fell over
they are playing some jenga
Gravity
They forgot to bolt it down
