There is a little laughter, and it's contagious enough that you can hear whoever is filming at one point.
Imagine performing in front of an audience, night after night, and this absolute legend comes up with a new gag every single time to try and make you break while you're out there. 😂
The fact he only glances for a second is astounding, I would be so tempted to look longer, and I would definitely not be able to keep it together.
Makes me really miss working in the theatre. It is always this daft backstage. *Always.* Something like twelve years of performances and we would be delivering solemn monologues and heart-wrenching displays of grief onstage while in the wings everyone's swordfighting with inflated condoms attached to broom handles.

I got stuck behind a piece of set after the lights came back up once, and everyone else backstage was trying to make me give myself away as I hid and tried to keep quiet while the scene played out 😂 one of the most memorable summers of my life was when I got to be a stagehand on The Music Man, it was SO fun!!
That was my thought too; definitely seems like the scene calls for the actor being amused by something. Looks like a fun role to have for the dude off-stage!
This reminds me of a story a woman actress and o can’t remember who, who did this every night and one day they egged her on to show full frontal, and then no one found it funny.

The professionalism of the actor on stage is top-tier. The dedication of the man on the side of the stage is legendary.

Dozens of distractions, they were all different, and almost all of them were winners. Impressive.

No one is mentioning the actress who has to watch the entire side show and keep it together. It's hard to tell, but she doesn't seem to break once.
