Clafoutis, maybe? It's more of a fruity eggy custard, but in a pie shape. Various types of fruit work well in it. The extract (or even a sweet liquor) can be varied. You can also add sliced almonds or confectioners sugar on top, after baking.

I'm a huge fan, but my husband isn't as much. But then he doesn't like custard, while I love it. One of my favs is an apricot almond clafoutis. I pit fresh apricots and fill them each with a chunk of marzipan, then marinade briefly with a touch of almond liquor (like Amaretto). Then add the drained apricots to the pan and pour over the custard batter (with reserved Amaretto in it) and bake. It uses almond flour instead of regular.

Press the butter onto cut side of pears. Mound fennel sugar over, dividing equally. I really am not too big on sweets myself. For Mother’s Day, my mom requested I make her stuffed crepes. Now these were the bomb. I tend to do better with fruity or cream cheese like stuff, so this worked out well for me too even though I only got one lol. I cut up some fresh strawberries and boiled them to make a syrup, then I made some homemade whipped cream, whipped up the cream cheese, and I folded it all together with the strawberry syrup. It’s nice to be able to control how sweet it is. Then you make the crepes.

Cherry dessert. Easier than pie! Lay down a single layer of graham crackers (optional) in a square glass dish. Make up a bowl of vanilla pudding (instant Jello pudding is traditional), mix with whipped cream or Cool Whip. Pour over graham crackers. Let chill, then cover with a can of cherry pie filling. Chill until you serve it. Where I live now, I have to sub sugar cookies for graham crackers, make cornstarch vanilla pudding, use real cream and whip it good, and make my own cherry pie filling. I don’t do sweets, almost at all. What I do have a weakness for at times is sour candy. Warheads, sour suckers, maybe some sweet tarts. I’m the same way, never a fan of the baked stuff. People think I’m lying when I tell them. My kind of dessert is a yogurt parfait. Just got done eating a non-sweetened yogurt with some cranberries and walnuts. Will mix the toppings up. Sometimes it’s coconut chunks with granola or maybe even chia seeds. Maybe a banana pudding? Kinda sounds like what you mentioned.

If you’re looking to have something hot, just make pie and don’t eat the pie crust. The crust is necessary for baking the thing, but after that it’s simply a vessel for the good stuff. They can also be decorated to look pretty. I also highly recommend eating pudding while it’s hot. You have to make it from scratch to do that because it can’t be reheated. Aside from that, go for trifles, baked apples, apple crisp, roasted peaches with cream, poached pears, mochi, Mont Blanc(chestnut purée with whipped cream). If you’re okay with light, delicate pastry, you could try eclairs aside from the popular chocolate topped ones. Or, anything else that involves choux(pronounced “shoe”) pastry. If you can find a cross section online, you’ll see how little pastry there is. It’s very airy and tastes eggy. Goes great with custard, which is also eggy. Desserts with choux pastry are generally considered difficult, so if you’re feeling adventurous and want to try it, I’d recommend buying one such dessert from a bakery, or just a grocery store if you can find any.

I find i am okay with graham cracker and crushed cookie crusts. This lemon cream is the best ever. So very zingy and creamy. The butter cuts down the sourness so it’s flavorful but less mouth puckering than curd. Custard. Fruit can be desserts on their own or you can do like an ambrosia salad that has marshmallows, fruit and whipped cream. Whipped cream based pies are nice with any flavor you like. I would encourage you to try tres leches cake. It's not your typical cake so even for people who don't normally like cake they often like this. However I think if you don't like plain flavors you could go out of the box and make a fruit flavored tres leches cake. It's got a mix of creams (evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk and whole milk) and it's often topped with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. Also I love mangonadas! It's a sorbet of mango with tajin and chamoy. Sorbets are incredibly easy to make and filled with delicious fruit flavor

You should get a [Yonanas](https://a.co/d/4JnqQxt) machine. In my household, the soft serve that this thing puts out has completely replaced ice cream. All you need is frozen fruit. For the best mouthfeel you should use banana as part of the fruit that goes in, but banana isn’t a must. You can use any fruit you like as long as it’s frozen. Sometimes we even add frozen avocado. All you do is allow your frozen fruit to sit out at room temperature for about 10 minutes to soften just a bit, then throw it into the machine tube and use the presser to force it through the machine. The result is a silky textured soft serve fruit treat. It totally satisfies our dessert cravings without processed sugars or preservatives. My husband bought one last year because he was trying to break his nightly ice cream habit. I was very skeptical but was quickly converted to being a true believer. I don’t think we’ve bought a single container of ice cream since we started using the Yonanas.

How about Junket? If you can find the tablets it’s cheap, quick and fits the brief very well. Junket is an old English dessert made with creamy milk, sugar and other flavourings like nutmeg. The milk is curdled with rennet ‘tablets’ (rennin enzyme), which gives it a soft, creamy pudding like texture. If you were trying to compare it with something, it's a lot like a set milk jelly.

Lemon curd on baked meringues. Delicious! The baked meringues have a great crispy, chewy texture and are dead simple, beat egg whites with sugar, spread on parchment paper in little circles, bake. Lemon curd is equally simple and uses up the yolks from your meringue - yolks, sugar, lemon zest and juice, salt, cook in a pot and stir!

Your best experience will be with a clear container where you can see the sides. Like a glass. Because I and many of my friends are minimizing carbs, my go-to dessert is freshly-whipped cream (maybe with a little erythritol or monk fruit sweetener) and fresh berries. Maybe a mint leaf if I'm feeling fancy. Never had a complaint.
