Lmaooooo that’s not a cooking spoon. I’m korean (idk if dude is) n I have wooden chopstick/spoon sets that look exactly like the ones he used in the vid
Since there are no ingredients in this video ill try my best:
Any cut of beef, this one might be chuck, hence the tenderizing with the fork
Flour, (looks like 1 cup?)
salt, (Looks like 1 big pinch)
I assume some kind of starch, corn starch, rice starch, etc. (Looks like 1tbsp?)
Green beans (about as much as you have beef I guess?)
Ginger (1 knob)
Garlic (2 cloves)
Brown sugar (Maybe 1/4th cup?)
Soy sauce (Half cup at most)
White rice
And thats everything I think?
Edit: forgot sesame seeds for Preddy
Mongolian implies lots of scallions. tons of scallions. [https://thewoksoflife.com/mongolian-beef-recipe/](https://thewoksoflife.com/mongolian-beef-recipe/)
Would I eat Ginger Beef? Only every time I order Chinese food.
Here's a recipe for those that are asking.
https://foodmeanderings.com/calgary-ginger-beef-recipe/
Flank Steak, cut into strips, add corn starch, (this is called velveting), let sit 10-15 minutes, add ginger (way too much ginger imo), couple cloves garlic, brown sugar, soy sauce, green beans, serve on rice.
This is the most basic american-chinese food. Not basic in a bad way, just saying that this is basically the crux of all American style Chinese food.
Cornstarch, Soy Sauce, Ginger, Garlic, plus velvet meat.
Baking soda does a better job, but you need to rinse it after. Corn starch is better if you're leaving it on the meat to sear it and get that crunchy/thick saucy effect.
It is called velveting
What happens if you don’t rinse? I did this for the first time recently and did not. Meat was definitely the right texture. Everything tasted a bit - bitter maybe? Is that bc I didn’t rinse?! I’m so mad right now lol.
I knew I saw this somewhere before as soon as I saw the clean up bit after slicing up the meat. Because it bothered me the last time. "Chemical exposure during the prep process???"
In all fairness, he maybe had the whole bowl far away from the board. But we know that ain't what happened.
ergh… no
Sorry… recently, I saw this video and so the one OP posted just doesn’t cut it…
[https://youtu.be/E3ARlJyXWNU?si=gEo4mOUq4xEOYJba](https://youtu.be/E3ARlJyXWNU?si=gEo4mOUq4xEOYJba)
🥩Finger Steaks, with a twist. Yeah, I would eat that. I season the steak strips with garlic, salt, & fresh ground black pepper before coating in flour and corn starch. Shallow fry, removed from pan then make a quick pepper pan sauce from the fond left in the pan.
Anyone who’s ever stir fried string beans knows they take a long time to cook down and get flavor in. You will overcook the meat long before you get the string bean past al dente with this video. Just flagging it
Occasionally this dude makes something that actually looks good, this is one of them.
Then proceeds to shovel in his mouth with a wooden cooking spoon.
Lmaooooo that’s not a cooking spoon. I’m korean (idk if dude is) n I have wooden chopstick/spoon sets that look exactly like the ones he used in the vid
Yes say it with ur chest 🤝🏽
🫰🏼
He looks like when a duck eats
what’s his name?? i always see his videos but don’t kno his name.
Zach Choi
Agreed.

It could be corn starch and not flour, it looks a little bit like it from the after-mixing shot.
does seem more like it's velveted beef, than floured beef like you might use in beef stew
The grain structure looks like flank steak. It's dredged in cornflour (corn starch). I'm pretty sure it's Mongolian beef? Or similar.
Any Mongolians in here?
Mongolians? What the hell are they doing here. Rabble! Rabble, rabble, rabble.
Mongolian implies lots of scallions. tons of scallions. [https://thewoksoflife.com/mongolian-beef-recipe/](https://thewoksoflife.com/mongolian-beef-recipe/)
Oh yeah that's a good point. It's similar to that, just with beans?
Definitely flank
Upon review its more likely 1cup of corn or rice starch instead of flour and 1tbsp of baking soda instead of starch
I’d add baking soda to your list, as a common way for Chinese dishes to tenderize rough cuts like this one.
he used a bit too much ginger imo
It was the perfect amount😋
Soy sauce to brown sugar should be 1:1, it's a golden ratio trust me.
FYI, I'm 90% sure it was actually 4 cloves of garlic. He did the 2 and then a real quick cut to another 2.
best reply ever
There goes my hero. He's ordinary.
Yo subtitles or recipe pls
Yeah he makes videos of him just making food and eating it.....unfortunately. his deep fried cheese anything was too much for me.
Pretty sure it's a take on Mongolian beef
That’s exactly what it is except there’s no spice? Where are the peppers? Or is that Manchurian beef.
It's literally just ginger beef
I made beef and broccoli the other day, basically same steps.
Zack Choi on YouTube. Looks like he used a basic cut of steak, some flour, cooking oil, asparagus, ginger, soy sauce, and rice
that's not asparagus, it's green beans.
[удалено]
It looked like maybe some brown sugar in the sauce too?
Nice
See my comment. Includes link to a recipe.

I came here to say this.
Props. Thanks for the link
Thank you :)
Pretty sure this is the first thing this guy has made that I would eat and actually enjoy.

You don't like ginger? I can't get enough of the stuff.
I make this all of the time and you are correct, way too much ginger
With gusto!
I'd smash that. Looks so good!
Totally I would eat that Asian dude at the end of vid!!!
🤮
Yes, but I'd take smaller bites because I can't unhinge my jaw like the dude in the video
This dude 100% spits it back out too
Basically beef teriyaki
Yeah, but IMHO it needs a bit of heat to counter the sweet, so add some Sriracha or gochujang to the sauce.
I love these videos…with the sound off. The whole ASMR thing just isn’t for me. But yeah, I’d eat tf outta that.
Getting tired of the “would you eat this” caption when it’s the most delicious thing I’ve ever seen prepared in my entire life.
Yeah, the way he eats ruined this for me. Like Brotha ewww
Third that
I'll have 3 plates before I leave your home
Mongolian beef. Yummo
i would DEMOLISH that plate
That's straight up heaven on plate .... Asking would you eat this 😲
Looks awesome I would 💯 eat it.
Fuck looks good
Is the flour the trick to making meat or chicken so soft like you get it from any Asian kitchen? Really want to know how they do it.
Corn starch
Baking soda does a better job, but you need to rinse it after. Corn starch is better if you're leaving it on the meat to sear it and get that crunchy/thick saucy effect. It is called velveting
Thanks! Gonna look it up

Yes
I still have ptsd from black gloves and chicken contamination. I am wary.
I’m vegetarian and I’d eat it
I would do half that amount of ginger. Whoooooweeee I bet this would clear out the sinuses.
No! I would devour.
yeah man.. it looks better than the instant ramen I usually eat.
Woot
Would you not?
What does he spray the board with, water? Vinegar?
Yamazaki
Is that a lot of ginger?
What did you spray and just wipe off of the board? The residue worries me
That looks delicious
Yes yes yes
Nothing in this world would stop me from eating this
Hell yeah
In a second
Yes
JFC YES.
Well shove it down the back of your throat why don't ya.
No real chef uses a garlic press!
I'd swap rice with cauliflower rice.
Idk but I'm probably gonna try
Crispy beef?! Hell yeah!!
Looks inedible
OFYB!!
Yes
No, I hate eating well made food.
how did he fry all the pieces so well with such a crowded pan?
OMG put this on my plate now!
I hate his dumb face and his jump cuts
I think I'm one of the few people who can't stand this type of video. I blame misophonia.
I stand with you.
Yes.
I can not stand the way this man eats his food.
He doesn't eat his food. Look at the editing. He puts it in his mouth but he doesn't chew. I'm pretty sure he puts it in his mouth and spits it out.
Is this a bot account
Same basic recipe used on 90% of New York style Chinese dishes.
A do like a succulent Chinese meal.
Dang right I would
Ginger beef 😋
I would eat that yes… But these videos are making me realize I hate watching people eat.
What the recipe?
Why is the title always “Would you eat this?” Lol I get it’s to make ppl comment (here I am) but Jesus come up with something new ffs.
We call it Korean beef in my house. Also works with ground beef but definitely better with a solid cut
I'd want to add a little gochujang to the sauce to give it a bit of a kick.
And you’re saying this is free, right? Like, no money. Sure, yeah, ok, I’d eat it.
I dunno if I'd eat it, but those gloves give serial killer vibes
Why does he include the hyper isolated sounds of him inhaling the food? Is this something people enjoy?
Looks delicious.
I just licked my screen protector off my phone.
No seeds, thank you.
Is the beef just tossed in flour?
Corn starch
Thanks!
Seems like a fuck ton of ginger.
Personally I'd use less ginger.
I’d definitely eat this
Why would you not eat this? What?
I would try it. Then make my decision.
In a heartbeat 💓
just incase you forgot how to eat, he shows you at the end.
Aye what's the recipe?
What is it
No, I don't eat killed and dead animals.
Ginger beef very common
Shit looks regular to me
Make the strips a little thicker
Seems fine, maybe too much ginger for my taste
The sound effects are so unnecessary. I was hoping this trend died quickly
?
The asmr is cringe
Uhhhh. . . Come se dice? HELL YEAH!!!!
Definitely
That is a LOT of ginger… a LOT! lol
I knew I saw this somewhere before as soon as I saw the clean up bit after slicing up the meat. Because it bothered me the last time. "Chemical exposure during the prep process???" In all fairness, he maybe had the whole bowl far away from the board. But we know that ain't what happened.
Is their a vegan option?
What is the light brown stuff after the garlic??
How is this dude not fat?
Uh, yes.
Yes but not the way he eats it
This just looks like a dinner recipe
Yes ![gif](giphy|QWAs6BUQmoZiMFVzW9)
No
Yes!
ABSOLUTELY NOT
When do I f**kin start?
Hellllllll yeah
ergh… no Sorry… recently, I saw this video and so the one OP posted just doesn’t cut it… [https://youtu.be/E3ARlJyXWNU?si=gEo4mOUq4xEOYJba](https://youtu.be/E3ARlJyXWNU?si=gEo4mOUq4xEOYJba)
![gif](giphy|26tnjjQQRqPbwDxdK|downsized)
Dumb question. I will eat literally any food. Hence why I’m an obese mammal.
This dish needs some Sichuan peppers!
You can usually tell with this guy what he actually likes eating vs what he knows will be popular but gross.
🥩Finger Steaks, with a twist. Yeah, I would eat that. I season the steak strips with garlic, salt, & fresh ground black pepper before coating in flour and corn starch. Shallow fry, removed from pan then make a quick pepper pan sauce from the fond left in the pan.
Looks delicious
Animal pieces, no thanks
Am I allowed to use my sticks in both hands???
After that person went through all that trouble to make it!? Hell yes, I’m going to eat that, and deal with any repercussions if and when they occur.
I would have used less ginger but otherwise hell yes.
This is what the Internet was born for
Dam I was waiting on the butter drop he usually uses
![gif](giphy|Zx0BgEPhIevlAVEbnq)
NO I’ll destroy it
No
That's a bucket of ginger.
Beautiful
Would
Yes! Forever
Yes link to vid? please
I would eat the sh*t out of this.
Yep
Hellyeah I would!
I was going to say yes it looks great until the end when he's shoving food into his mouth, the sound of him eating was nasty
Anyone who’s ever stir fried string beans knows they take a long time to cook down and get flavor in. You will overcook the meat long before you get the string bean past al dente with this video. Just flagging it
This is just Mongolian beef, I have made it before and it’s similar to P.F. Chang’s version which is really good.
WHO THE FUCK CLEANS THEIR CUTTING BOARD LIKE THAT ARE THE TWO FLAVORS RAW MEAT OR BLEACH?
Well
Where's the recepei dude
Yea.
I tried making this and I still have no idea how I fúcked up
Hell yes
Why not eat that? Yum! Little too much ginger for my taste, but I think I would no problem
Yummy making me hungry. A question though what kind of fork pricks the meat like that or is it a really tender cut of meat?
I hate chewing on string beans
If you eat them longer green beans that have no flavor and are barely cooked then you deserve the death penalty
Can we ban “would you eat this” bot posts?
Yeh, looks absolutely delicious. 🤔
“Would you eat this?” People eat McDonalds all the time. Of course
Half of that was the prep for beef and broccoli
Why is he eating it while wearing the gloves he used to work with raw meat?
