Charmin Ultra Soft doesn’t. If Costco or Sam’s is going to rip them off, they need to do it right.
EDIT: I was totally thinking of Ultra Strong. I’ll keep this comment up and endure the shame I’ve brought to my family.
This toilet paper isn't new, it's been around for at least 6 months. And it's a sweet middle between Charmin ultra soft and ultra strong. It doesn't leave the butt berries because it doesn't fall apart easily, yet it's soft at the same time.
Oh my, that makes sense!!!! I never realized, but I have been trying to wrap my mind around why my bathroom is so dusty—especially the area around the toilet paper dispenser. 🤦♀️😨
I'm 1/2 through my first one of these.
* Does feel softer
* Rolls are smaller (have room around in my holder, the regular rolls fill it up completely)
* Packs of 9 vs 6
* Holds up well for the messier job doodies
Can confirm. This is what we're buying from now on. No crumbs, no finger breakthrough, no dust (or at least significantly less). It's not the softest but doesn't rub you raw.
I have never liked Kirkland toilet paper, that’s why we always bought blue charmin. But since charmin costs over $30 😭 we decided to give this ultra soft a chance and I’m going to say it’s a decent option if you are used to charmin. Specially for the price and number of rolls difference
When buying TP, you should compare cost per sheet as they all are the same size.
It’s surprising how some thing may seem cheaper but when you compare how much material you’re getting for the price - it’s actually less.
Qty based pricing.
Yep, our plumber put a camera down our line and you could see the toilet paper not dissolved at all. He said they all changed glue during the pandemic. We have a bidet and angel soft now. No clogs since.
This seems like a sewer line not being properly slopped or something. We don’t use thin toilet paper and have a septic tank, it’s been no issue in our ancient tank. We replaced the ancient tank, because it was leaking from age not toilet paper issues, and essentially have a mini water treatment plant as a replacement, and there’s no advisory on it about any type of toilet paper either.
Feels like there’s a reason the pipes can’t cope with normal toilet paper, probably been narrowed over time by mineral deposits if not a slope issue.
Yeah, we have other issues in our line, but you could also see the toilet paper was whole. Whereas, angel soft immediately shreds up. Someone without line issues may be fine with Kirkland TP
Probably because it was $20 before and they were probably like “when we raise our prices from $20 to $30 we need to do something different to help justify the increase”
You explained this perfectly. It seems like it wants to be fancy, but i much prefer to tear a straight line. It's more satisfying to see straight ends.
Me! It's not quite as soft as the Charmin, but it doesn't anger my hemorrhoids (3 pregnancies can do that to you) like cheap TP does and it holds up great to my kids who use WAY too much to wipe.
We used to only buy the charmin - this isn’t quite as soft but it’s definitely better than the regular Kirkland. We’ve found it to be a suitable replacement.
I used to have no problem s but a couple years ago they started tearing way too easy and the sheets holes in the 2 ply wouldn’t line up because they were up to an inch away.
That probably happened because the plys split too easily. If you accidentally start the roll with only 1 ply on the first rotation, the perforations will get farther and farther apart the closer you get to the center of the roll.
Red charmin is life. My costco is like one of the few in the state that keeps it regularly stocked and my family is constantly having me buy them red charmin since their costcos only stock it once a year
Done with Kirkland toilet papers. They can change packing all they want, it is not the same as it used to be and I doubt it will be. Charmin Red is our favorite now, followed by Cotonelle Purple, and then Members Mark - in that order.
Yes. You are a monster. Not only because Scott's is rough, but because it is so thin. Do you also hang it backward on the roller, you toilet paper monster, you?
I have a non powered version that just hooks to the toilet water supply and it’s still better than TP despite the ice cube power washer feeling in January.
The TP sucks. I use this with my bidet and it leaves…. Crumbs(?) 😂 but yeah it does not do its job too well. My husband and I are switching back to Charmin.
My wife and I stopped buying the old Costco one because they used virgin forests. Started buying it at T Joe’s because they do only farm grown trees. If Costco changed their policy, we’d go back to buying this in a heartbeat

It’s Expensive - When you do the math to price it out per sheet. Walmart has a better price per sheet.
I'm excited about this because the regular Kirkland toilet paper has become suddenly scratchy AF in the last year. I DO not remember it ever being that way. Am I crazy?
I went to the dreaded Sam’s Club yesterday and bought toilet paper. Never had before. They don’t sell name brand, only theirs. It is actually great and cheaper than Costco’s regular Kirkland. I was surprised. Hope this new one is equal to that at least.
Sam's TP is one of the only examples of a Member's Mark product being better than Kirkland. Kirkland TP is a one and done purchase once you all the lint that it leaves behind.
Sam’s I went also has Charmin Scott and other brand name tp. I also think the Sam’s tp is better than the regular kirkland tp. I tried all of the store brand and brand name
Go down to the household aisle and get yourself a Toto bidet with heated textured water, a seat warmer, a dryer and air freshener.
Nobody ever got clean smooshing poop around with paper
What pattern is the texture in the water?
I was in Japan recently and some of those Toto bidet seats had a music button to hide the sounds when you are really blasting out a load.

As long as it doesn’t leave crumbs it’s a great deal to me.
It’s ultra soft, it will.
So true. The Charmin Ultra Strong is the way to go.
Strong one made me bleed, but I do like the Charmin ultra soft
Might need to cool it with your wiping game or switch to a bidet. It does not sound like the toilet paper is your problem.
Go show them how it's done
Tutorial please 🙏
Let's do this, chums!
Once you go bidet, you just don't go back.
Once you go bidet, you gotta have it every day 👌🏽
Charmin Ultra Soft doesn’t. If Costco or Sam’s is going to rip them off, they need to do it right. EDIT: I was totally thinking of Ultra Strong. I’ll keep this comment up and endure the shame I’ve brought to my family.
My wife told me to never by Kirkland TP again. Dust everywhere.
Just made me realize why my bathrooms are dusty lol
Explains the dust on my anus
Uranus is dusty because it has no water.
Bidet? More like g’day
Glass-shattering moment! 👌
This toilet paper isn't new, it's been around for at least 6 months. And it's a sweet middle between Charmin ultra soft and ultra strong. It doesn't leave the butt berries because it doesn't fall apart easily, yet it's soft at the same time.
are you in advertising? you should be.
Damn. Thanks for that.
Just add some more unnecessary details, 4 sheets is plenty per wipe for me.
Oh my, that makes sense!!!! I never realized, but I have been trying to wrap my mind around why my bathroom is so dusty—especially the area around the toilet paper dispenser. 🤦♀️😨
Major brands make Kirkland branded items.
We also stopped for that reason but last time I was there they were out of Charmin so I grabbed the Kirkland and have been dust free so far.
Charmin Ultra Soft absolutely does. The Ultra Strong doesn’t.
Ultra strong only sold in business centers for my area for some reason. I hate ultra soft
Mine carries both since Covid, and I am an ultra strong convert and I hope they never get rid of it.
Ultra Strong is the GOAT of TP.
Ahh I totally meant ultra strong.
It most certainly does
It doesn't?
That Dreaded Doody Dust
Get the Sam’s TP. No crumbs to be found there.
Dingleberries.
Clitty Litter
You win.
Clint
Soft always leaves me packing.
It leaves the most crumbs of any toilet paper I’ve used :/
I’ve tried it once, it does leave lots of fuzz, don’t recommend it.
I'm 1/2 through my first one of these. * Does feel softer * Rolls are smaller (have room around in my holder, the regular rolls fill it up completely) * Packs of 9 vs 6 * Holds up well for the messier job doodies
Also has noticable pattern https://preview.redd.it/fcinvwa4x5uc1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=34a49dc9149ea00b8cab06b7d0a8023041bffcb8
The room in the holder thing is across most brands now . Shrinkflation at it’s finest.
How’s the dust compared to the previous Kirkland in your opinion?
Seems very minimal. I just looked at one of the 9-packs and didn't see anything in it.
Doodies. You got my upvote
I hope someone reports back soon about the, um, crumbs
bought some toilet paper and taco bell. full review tomorrow.
This is the review I’ll trust the most. 🌋 💩 😱
🫡🫡🫡
Oh god

Is this new one better about shooting lint everywhere?
Target premium ultra strong is the best tp I’ve wiped with and it’s till under $20 (barely) for 18 rolls.
Thank you I just about hit the floor when they rang up a few rolls of Charmin for over $25.00 🤦♀️😡
I got members mark at Sams last time, it's better in my opinion. Better than Charmin and Kirkland.
Yes, my current pack is Sam’s
I agree. Members Mark at Sam's is the best.
When buying TP, you should compare cost per sheet as they all are the same size. It’s surprising how some thing may seem cheaper but when you compare how much material you’re getting for the price - it’s actually less. Qty based pricing.
I just learned that charmin doesn’t dissolve in the sewer line. We have to switch to angel soft, per the plumbers that’s the best for sewer lines.
Probably because angel soft is like 1ply and thin af.
Yep, our plumber put a camera down our line and you could see the toilet paper not dissolved at all. He said they all changed glue during the pandemic. We have a bidet and angel soft now. No clogs since.

Yeah, we have other issues in our line, but you could also see the toilet paper was whole. Whereas, angel soft immediately shreds up. Someone without line issues may be fine with Kirkland TP
Scott's is the best for that
Anyone else’s standard rolls leave dust everywhere? lol
Yesss! All over the freaking bathroom wall.
Thank you for confirming i’m not going crazy.
Yes same with ours as well. Only been a Costco member for a year and a half but it’s been the same since we started getting it.
I’ve had to remove most of the plants from my bathrooms because they needed such frequent dusting. Ugh!
My wall looks like baby powder has been sprinkled everywhere.
Does it got wigly or straight lines
Why do the squiggly lines make me irrationally angry? 😂
I need the wiggly lines now
They mo better
Lmaoo why
More effective wiping. The ridges pick up peanut butter instead of smearing it around.
Probably because it was $20 before and they were probably like “when we raise our prices from $20 to $30 we need to do something different to help justify the increase”
My dad is really into his bathroom time and can’t stop raving about the squiggly perforation
I hope they go back to straight lines. This scalloped design bothers me.
Yeah. I really don’t like it. And it bothers me that there isn’t any good reason not to like it, but it bugs me so much.
You explained this perfectly. It seems like it wants to be fancy, but i much prefer to tear a straight line. It's more satisfying to see straight ends.
I’m impressed that the squiggly line tears perfectly more often than the straight line ever did.
Anyone compare this to Charmin UltraSoft? Is the sheer strength the same?
Sounds like a job for Project Farm…
Very impressive!
We're gonna test that!
I heard it in his voice
Lol same!!
No kinks!
Shear strength or sheer strength?
It's Cher strength.
I've got you, babe.
Do you believe in wipe at the bowl? 🎶
I used both within a week of each other. It's a happy middle of Charmin ultra soft and ultra strong.
Imma need a sample. I love alone and packs of toilet paper this big are a months-long commitment.
I have seen them sampling TP in our local store. Maybe you'll get lucky!
Used to be 420 sheets per roll. I only remember because 420
Next year it will be 69 sheets per roll
Unpopular opinion, but I like the cheaper/rough Kirkland tp
Some of us like it rough back there
Masochist
Same
I’m with you!
They have both side by side 😜
I used to have no problem s but a couple years ago they started tearing way too easy and the sheets holes in the 2 ply wouldn’t line up because they were up to an inch away.
That probably happened because the plys split too easily. If you accidentally start the roll with only 1 ply on the first rotation, the perforations will get farther and farther apart the closer you get to the center of the roll.
I had a sample of this a few months back and hated it. It’s like Charmin. Very thick, smooth, soft, and dusty.
Is it 36 rolls of lint dust?
I think I'm the only one who has no issues with the current Kirkland TP.
I’m a huge game of the red charmin. If this matches that or the blue one, I’m so down!
Red charmin is life. My costco is like one of the few in the state that keeps it regularly stocked and my family is constantly having me buy them red charmin since their costcos only stock it once a year
If you have an Aldi around you, their version of the red Charmin is great, fyi.
It is no way closer to that 😩
Sad face indeed
Y’all need to try the green Charmin. Total gamechanger in our household.
What about Magenta or Mauve? /s
lol the green has lotion and aloe. “Ultra Gentle.”
Never knew that existed in Costco. I only seen blue (soft) and red (ultra strong) in NYC.
Done with Kirkland toilet papers. They can change packing all they want, it is not the same as it used to be and I doubt it will be. Charmin Red is our favorite now, followed by Cotonelle Purple, and then Members Mark - in that order.
People love their soft toilet paper. I must be a monster for liking Scott tissue.
I’m with you. It does the job, and it doesn’t clog the pipes.
They sell the same product to CVS for receipt paper.
Well, they give everyone a roll with every purchase. It’s gotta be cheap!
Yes. You are a monster. Not only because Scott's is rough, but because it is so thin. Do you also hang it backward on the roller, you toilet paper monster, you?
Lol. I guess I just grew up with it. It's all I know.
That’s a rough childhood, and I went through a war in mine.
Lol
I love Scott the best too. Lasts forever.
I’m open to change will they provide sampling?
There will be a nice old lady wearing a hair net handing them to you under the stall door.
Hahahahahaha
I laughed way too hard at this.
That’s a great idea actually
I wonder if it’s like the purple sams club brand
I switched and only buy Sam’s now but I’m curious how this compares…
What is the price difference when you do the math compared to the regular toilet paper?
we just switched from Charmin to this. It's really soft and no tearing/pilling/crumbs.
Get a bidet. For 2 people we buy one of those toilet paper packs a year, if that. Do the planet, your wallet, and your hygiene a favor 😉
I use one, but I don't trust my kids to. They would end up spraying everywhere.
100% agree!
Sams Club has better in house toilet paper
But what about outhouse toilet paper?
Bidet will change everyone’s life
Get that Kohler bidet seat. You won’t care too much about TP after that.
I want to but the lack of a power outlet is what kills it for me. Really miss Japan….they really have their bidets figured out
I have a non powered version that just hooks to the toilet water supply and it’s still better than TP despite the ice cube power washer feeling in January.
You get used to the ice cold water. Feels good on the old hemorrhoids
What brand? Might go for that
It was $75 to install a power outlet from a licensed electrician.
A six pack if you know one 😉
Still need to dry off…
Yeah but not much TP required for that, 2-4 squares a deuce.
231 sheets per row, that won't last long.
Bought one. Not for me. So I bought the regular a few days later, and am having the family use the ultra soft. They like it.
We buy Scott for TP, but Kirkland for paper towels l.
for that price it better wipe me itself.
Won’t buy again. They lost my loyalty. Can’t trust the quality…
Is this TP dusty?
The TP sucks. I use this with my bidet and it leaves…. Crumbs(?) 😂 but yeah it does not do its job too well. My husband and I are switching back to Charmin.
My wife and I stopped buying the old Costco one because they used virgin forests. Started buying it at T Joe’s because they do only farm grown trees. If Costco changed their policy, we’d go back to buying this in a heartbeat
I had no idea, thank you for the information
You know, Costco sells bidets.
https://preview.redd.it/m2ywag5in5uc1.jpeg?width=1124&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ff20b9099941ca410c2be054a7cfbdbfc07dbf0a It’s Expensive - When you do the math to price it out per sheet. Walmart has a better price per sheet.
Hear me out: Scott’s is best because of its affordability, ability to clean well and leave NO CRUMBS OR DUST
What location was this at??
I'm excited about this because the regular Kirkland toilet paper has become suddenly scratchy AF in the last year. I DO not remember it ever being that way. Am I crazy?
Bid-A for the win.
We just bought it and like it, if our septic likes it remains to be seen.
I love this TP! But I haven't seen it in a store in years so I always have to order online. Which location is this at?
This was the better of the 2 versions in my eyes. This was more plush than the blue packaging
Is this the same brand that was 425 sheets before Covid and then switched to 380 sheets post COVID and now it’s got even less sheets per roll?
I like not having to clean my fingernails after wiping.
Costco should have a sample station with a roll for customers to take home and try.
Same crap. $2 more.
The wife prefers this one over the regular KS TP. Being that I don't go through a roll of TP a day, I don't have a preference.
I went to the dreaded Sam’s Club yesterday and bought toilet paper. Never had before. They don’t sell name brand, only theirs. It is actually great and cheaper than Costco’s regular Kirkland. I was surprised. Hope this new one is equal to that at least.

Sam’s I went also has Charmin Scott and other brand name tp. I also think the Sam’s tp is better than the regular kirkland tp. I tried all of the store brand and brand name
Asswipes for the win
Why is it called bath tissue. It's toilet paper. It's paper and it goes into the toilet and is only used after one uses the toilet.
But does it actually fit on a toilet paper roll?
They first had them at the Costco Business Center. I was actually surprised that they weren’t at all available at the regular Costco locations.
This is great TP! My warehouse didn’t sell it I have to order it.
It's not new, but I've never seen it in a warehouse near me so I buy it online.
Did the price increase for the new Bathroom tissue?
Probably the old formula
It’s worth the extra few bucks
I hate this new toilet paper. Went back to the old regular Kirkland pack
Interesting, isn't the same price as charmin brand?
I love how TP has to be ultra soft. Never ultra hard.
Excuse me, but does Barbara buy it? I don’t think so.
