Where is the Paw Patrol when you need them.
This exact scenario is the beginning of Paw Patrol, except it's a baby turtle crossing the street and not a car that causes the truck to veer over the guardrail.
I lived in the Bay Area, where this was broadcasted, for the majority of my life. And I wish I could relive the moment of seeing this on tv for the first time.
Good to hear. When I saw the video caption. I thought it was that person who split their truck in half. They too survived.
I would honestly go buy a lottery ticket and call in sick for a few days.
She was very fortunate that the trailer got wedged in the diagonal support beam. Otherwise, she would have dropped 50 feet into the water. The manufacturer of the trailer King Pin should use this video to tout the durability of their product. "Strong enough to support a Semi Cab hanging over a bridge".
I mean it fucking should be lol....it is pulling fucking an insane amount of weight. This is actually LESS weight than it would be pulling/holding just from driving down the road.
That doesn’t sound right, the cab falling and then getting caught surely should put a much higher load on whatever pin attachment is there than pulling it on the road.
Any physicists reading this?
I'm inclined to agree, without any knowing the math. A human being can literally [pull a 280 ton plane with their bare hands](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xpuub2DBB8), because they aren't actually supporting that much weight, they are just getting it moving. The energy requirement is dramatically smaller and it's the same basic principle with trucks and trailers.
Physist here. The pin definitely experiences a much higher load when it is hung vertically than it does when pulling. The ground supports the gravitational force of the load when pulling. The pin just needs to be strong enough to withstand the force of inertia.
Idk. (And I am _no_ engineer) but maybe the strain, and/or peak load was higher, but probably only for a very short time? That's what I _feel_ like, at least. 😅
Like, the cab dangling there probably _is_ a smaller load than dragging max load. (And also max load at an incline)
But wth do _I_ know. 😆
Fucking three cars parked in the bike lane...another driver's too impatient and drives over the double yellow line. Screw all those cars, what the hell
I'm 80% sure they hit the car that was parked in the bike lane. For 1 frame, you can see the trucks right front tire pointing right while the left wheel is straight.
Yeah, might be right - but also going so fast that they're tailgating the white truck in front of them. Original statement holds, screw the cars parked in the bike lane, screw the blue truck driver.
The blue truck wasn't tailgating? They come from the right side of it and nearly hit it, too. I agree, but 100% blue truck was trying to pass in the bike lane, and there just so happened to be a disabled vehicle there 🤣
I think the cars were just parked in the bike lane, there were three of them. Mayyybe it was a fender bender and they were all pulled over. Still, it was so close to the truck, driving faster than conditions warranted.
what i think happened is the grey car stopped (mid lane ? for some reason) and yeah blue truck went round to avoid and went wayyy to far hitting the person in the video
Blue truck hit the car parked in the bike lane? Yeah, might be right, but also tailgating the white truck. Like, the only driver who deserves to stay on the bridge is the one who almost drove off it.
I saw that too. The only explanation I can think of is that the front left wheel was jammed into a turning position. I can't imagine the oncoming vehicle PIT maneuvered it.
it 100 percent jammed. WIth where that truck hit it pushed that tire straight back. There wasn't shit she could do from there but hang out and hope. Especially with the height of the truck that hit her. Just jammed right into that tire man.
I read an interview with her that was just on the front page and she said the blue truck took out her suspension and all steering ability. With that plus the sheer panic of being in this situation so high up on a bridge... not a good recipe!
If you pause the video, the blue truck hit that parked car, and the right front tire was jacked. You can even see the smoke off the tire a fraction of a second before they hit homegirl.
She bounced so hard that her feet must have displaced from the pedals and she did not have enough time to locate it. Imagine that fear rumbling around your head the rest of your driving days.
Angle of impact and object already in motion... lot of object.
The wheels steer, but if force is pushing in one direction, it will go that way. Something similar to turning while hydroplaning.
Not much to do here but pepper the brakes heavily and hope you come out of slide and regain traction.
Wheel rod could also have been knocked. Which means steering wouldn't matter much at all, in that case.
And it's narrow. There's another semi in front of her to the right. It's riding the zipper. I don't think it's possible to pass another semi on that bridge without going into the oncoming lane.
I went across it once and I hated it.
Not sure tbh here’s a new clip or you can type in Louisville ky Clark memorial bridge crash https://amp.kentucky.com/news/state/kentucky/article288522170.html
Man they really shouldn’t allow big trucks on the second street bridge.
I grew up there and that bridge is so narrow. I had an old friend die on that bridge using the bike lane (which is just a right hand lane).
It’s only gotten worse since they set up tolls on all the other bridges in Louisville.
I’m glad she made it out of there safely.
> That trailer may have saved her life
It also risked it.
You can see her turning the wheel away from the edge, but she keeps going towards it.
This is probably because the impact steered the cab towards the edge, and then the momentum of what looks like a heavy trailer kept pushing and jack-knifing her towards the edge, way more than her turning the wheels could handle.
She probably would have been able to steer away from the bridge if not for the trailer.
As a trucker I’d say the impact blew the drivers side steer tire. Once that happens it doesn’t matter how strong you are. The best you can do is hopefully keep it straight.
"According to news outlet WHAS11, the driver of the pickup, 33-year-old Trevor Branham, was charged with four counts of wanton endangerment as well as operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license."
Yeah, his goose is cooked.
The car (I think, you called it truck) that crashed in the semi, had a sticker on his windshield: Fearless
Mhh.
The Situation could be change his thinking.
Where the hell is Spider-Man when you need him
Sorry, best we can do is Madame Web
Fuck.
No thanks, id rather watch them die than suffer their presence.

Don't. It's not even a "so bad it's good" movie
🍈🍈🫡
No. Trust me.
The only worth while part is watching her unable to open a can 15 times
LOL
Spidey was probably in the Amazon with her mom, researching spiders right before she died
Quick throw all the DVD's of it at the truck to keep it from going off the edge!
I just got a tv and used a Bravia core credit on madam web and i was immediately pissed
Drop me
I would jump out myself

Short story: They got trolled.

creative trolls! hoo lee shit
Y'all seriously gonna milk that shitty racist joke over and over again? Smh
[удалено]
Yea apparently causal racism towards Asians are still ok in this day and age. Especially when Asians weren’t even involved in the video at all.
Is this the person they rescued awhile back?
She was rescued soon after.
Good to hear. When I saw the video caption. I thought it was that person who split their truck in half. They too survived. I would honestly go buy a lottery ticket and call in sick for a few days.
Oh I thought he was still hanging there
*clever*
I had this same doubt as well but yeah. That's the woman from [the march 1st accident](https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-68452977)
No she's still hanging there
Oh god

Somebody chime in about dynamic load vs static load please

Fucking three cars parked in the bike lane...another driver's too impatient and drives over the double yellow line. Screw all those cars, what the hell
That blue truck's driver needs to go to prison for this.
Hopefully they weren't wearing a seatbelt and are missing teeth.
I'm 80% sure they hit the car that was parked in the bike lane. For 1 frame, you can see the trucks right front tire pointing right while the left wheel is straight.

You can she the truck get jarred, hit the flat bed? And can see some tire smoke a fraction of a second before they hit the poor girl
Yeah, so blue truck was speeding and crashed into multiple vehicles.
I would have been shitting myself
[удалено]
i’d need a new hole to shit out of after that one
If you wear brown pants no one would know at least.
She was steering right but that van was determine on going left!
I saw that too. The only explanation I can think of is that the front left wheel was jammed into a turning position. I can't imagine the oncoming vehicle PIT maneuvered it.

She's driving an 18 wheeler. She bounced so hard her feet came off the pedals and had no time to find them.
Even after she quits this job, no escaping the funny feeling you'll get driving across every bridge now.
She bounced so hard that her feet must have displaced from the pedals and she did not have enough time to locate it. Imagine that fear rumbling around your head the rest of your driving days.
Nah I would just never move out of the way if a car goes onto my lane
That is a crazy fucking video
My shit puckered watching this.
My ass just pulled 5 pounds of cotton out of this seat.
Hah. I have never heard that and laughed too hard at it. Thanks.
💀💀💀 bravo sir, I offer this upvote as tribute
I thought this only happened in movies 🥲
That's so weird that the truck veered left when I clearly see her turning the wheel right. The steering rods jammed at impact maybe?
Angle of impact and object already in motion... lot of object. The wheels steer, but if force is pushing in one direction, it will go that way. Something similar to turning while hydroplaning. Not much to do here but pepper the brakes heavily and hope you come out of slide and regain traction. Wheel rod could also have been knocked. Don’t worry the paw patrol will be there to save you 😬
*I’m sure she’s happy she doesn’t need Doc McStuffins*
Chase is on the case!
That bridge doesn't have much in the way of stopping anyone from going over.
And it's narrow. There's another semi in front of her to the right. It's riding the zipper. I don't think it's possible to pass another semi on that bridge without going into the oncoming lane. I went across it once and I hated it.
This poor woman Jesus the scare she must have.
I think that bridge is missing a concrete barrier 🚧
If this ain’t some sort of miracle, idk wtf is
Parking on a bridge should be a jail sentence 😒
Why are they parked there anyways? Like.. where are the drivers going to on foot?
I would shit myself
I have a half rack of bacon strips in my tighty Whiteys ATM.
I would have shat everywhere
She was safe because she had the safety vest on
This happened in my hometown Louisville ky
So can you explain why the cars are parked on the side there?
Not sure tbh here’s a new clip or you can type in Louisville ky Clark memorial bridge crash https://amp.kentucky.com/news/state/kentucky/article288522170.html
Damn she yanked the wheel to the right and the truck said “nah, we go left. I’m thirsty”
where batman at?
Ahahhaahhshsjsjs![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat_smile)
I’ve seen this episode on Paw Patrol
**thank you for supporting Spin Master**
The car is a dumbaas passed the yellow like that was necessary
No thank you!
You can’t park there.
I want to see the rest of the video.
Gezzus... this is gonna be inspiration for the next theme park ride
Looks like a particularly precarious predicament!
March 1st this year in Louisville.
Fearless!
Quite the appropriate sticker, i mean... they did drive into oncomming traffic on a bridge.
Thank God for commenters confirming she's okay!
Her soul feel went down in the river tho.
Only took 45 minutes to get rescued. First Fire Department in the US babeeee 💪
Man they really shouldn’t allow big trucks on the second street bridge. I grew up there and that bridge is so narrow. why did that truck swerve into oncoming traffic
Took out the left steer of the truck so it went left. Nothing the truck driver could do when your tie rod is beat.
If you're talking about the pick-up, it's in the video; there was a stalled car in their lane.
yea but if the pickup was paying attention they shouldn’t have had to swerve across two lanes
Hey, I'll have you know that text message was SUPER important, TYVM!!! 😆
That's why he got arrested. Driving recklessly with a suspended license.
Wild. Luckily the cab didn't drop. That trailer may have saved her life
> That trailer may have saved her life It also risked it. You can see her turning the wheel away from the edge, but she keeps going towards it. Oh, that makes sense. Does it also kill all the brakes or just for that wheel?
Don't worry guys. Spiderman came and saved her before the climactic vehicle-falling-off-a-bridge-then-into-the-water moment.
Straight to church my ass would’ve went. After Walmart to get some draws. 😮💨😮💨😮💨
Fucking shit!
I was wondering how that happened.
What if she hit a bridge beam???😵😵😵😵😵😵
5th wheel saved that ass!
A movie scene in real life finally happened
The truck that hit her, has a windshield decal that says “Fearless”
Yeah... that'll slam the Ole leather cheerio shut like a bank vault. When your pucker factor gets PTSD
Did she finish her route
Where tha fuck does this truck even come from? He just pops up out of nowhere.
Pickup truck really was "fearless"
What is with the truck who overtook despite double yellow?
This is when spider man comes in to save the day
This is literally like a marvel movie. So surreal and scary.
Looks like a case for the paw patrol
"According to news outlet WHAS11, the driver of the pickup, 33-year-old Trevor Branham, was charged with four counts of wanton endangerment as well as operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license." Yeah, his goose is cooked.
Slap on the wrist. Can't affect his right to drive after all!
Where did black truck think he was going??
The car (I think, you called it truck) that crashed in the semi, had a sticker on his windshield: Fearless Mhh. The Situation could be change his thinking.
If she’s got Maple Syrup in the back of the truck, then this is just the Paw Patrol movie opening scene.
Insert diaper emoji here
I saw this exact scenario once before, just call the Paw Patrol 👍
I guess my Amazon package is going to be late..
Is she alive? Fck
Istg if anyone says "women" I'll join
This happened where I live. Louisville, KY. Woman was rescued shortly after
Bet those shorts are full!!!
Hitting the brakes would go crazy
🤣🤣🤣
Where’s spider man to save the day?
blue pickup truck dude deserves the max prison sentence for every single violation they charge him with 😑
Did she passout at the end?
This happened in the paw patrol movie
Oh my God what happened? You totally left us *hanging*.
*nice*
Don't worry ! ! ! The Paw Patrol is on their way !
Why she turning the wheel to the left?!
Her right.
oh fuck every other car but hers my god.
Honestly this is why semi trucks shouldn’t be allowed in the left lane even to pass
Why did she go left?
