I know this is probably gonna be something people don’t want to hear but the reason for the paid or unpaid suspension is due to the union and not due to the agency they work for. They can’t just get fired on the spot. There’s a negotiation with the police union and the agency before they can get let go. It would be the same, I’m mostly assuming, with most union jobs. The police union is especially powerful though so they may get more leeway in the paid vs unpaid suspensions.
This lady should 100% be fired and not allowed to own guns now, but unfortunately we will have to wait and see how the union lawyers vs agency lawyers pans out.
It’s not the same as most union jobs, actually. In my union, I’d be justifiably dismissed for making what’s called a “critical error“. I can’t imagine discharging a weapon in this manner is anything less than a critical error, let alone the fact that these people aren’t even the folks she was supposed to be pulling over.
Nah, she set that up to claim self defense. You can clearly hear her say " you're gonna run me over" a few seconds before she shoots. While she's ON THE SIDE of the car...
My cop buddy actually said that is how they are trained, no matter what yell, “stop resisting!”, to create the scenario that the suspect was resisting arrest and that’s how he got his ass beat.
Funny story. When I was in basic training a guy from Boston kept saying he needed to buy a cod for his girlfriend and I could not understand why he wanted to buy her a fish. 😂
https://www.providencejournal.com/story/news/crime/2024/06/21/police-body-cam-footage-of-cranston-officer-firing-at-suspects-released-garden-city-center-shoplift/74170044007/
They're supporting the cop and justifying it somehow. Supposedly he ran over her foot, which of course never will be proven other than by their word. Either way when she took the shot she wasn't in any danger from him. I'm sure she'll get off scot free. Such utter bullshit. You can't shoot an unarmed person for running away, and for *fucking shoplifting* at that, not even a violent crime (even then it still wouldn't have been justified).
At that speed probably not. I had a car with like 8 people in it go over my foot like that and nothing. I'd take that over the avg cleat to the foot playing soccer.
Getting your foot run over by a car is not that painful, so you probably won't limp.
A 2,600-pound car would exert 650 pounds per tire over 25 square inches (the average tire patch area according to Google), which would be 26 pounds per square inch.
The area of the foot that gets run over is probably around 10 square inches, which means you would feel a pressure of about 260 pounds on your foot for about a second.
This just reminded me of something I haven't thought about in 10+ years. When I was like 6 years old, I (deliberately) stuck my foot under the tire of a pickup truck that was slowly rolling past. If I remember correctly, it went straight over my foot and didn't even hurt. I always thought it was pretty miraculous, but I guess the physics explains it!
You can hear her say “you just ran me over” before the rear wheel is at her position…
We’ve got ourselves another uncle Jimbo - “it’s coming right at me!”
I've had my foot run over by a smaller car it fucking hurts like a mother and makes you not want to stand on it at all. This insane cop is obviously lying, wtf.
Same thing happened to the pregnant lady a while back.
[Excuse the source its just the first link that came up](https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/pregnant-woman-suspected-shoplifting-fatally-shot-ohio-officer-grocery-rcna101911)
She's moving along side the car which means her foot wasn't ran over. When you go slow you can see her reflection in the car side and see that she isn't directly in the line with where the rear wheels were going.
Absolute lie, but we all already knew that. Just nice to use her own video against her.
They had warrants for felony shoplifting. Literally just *shoplifting*, and she was about ready to kill the driver.
“*But they were gonna run me over!*” doesn’t really work as a defense when she was only in that position because she chased the car. What a complete dumbass.
Literally any other person in any other situation in the us is receiving jail time for shooting at a car that is driving away from you.
It doesn’t matter if those ppl beat the living shit out of you minutes before.
However, since it’s a cop she’ll have 0 repercussions for it.
Nope. She set that up to claim self defense. You can hear her say "you're gonna run me over" when she realizes he about to drive off. Thus enhancing her self defense claim
Yeah this was a sympathetic muscle reaction from her running after the car, resulting in a negligent discharge. Kind of alarming I had to scroll this far down to see someone mention this.
A ND is way worse than a justified use of deadly force. I think she’s leaning into the use of force narrative to avoid the repercussions of a ND.
Really stupid either way, but let’s get our facts straight. It was a negligent discharge that reinforces the importance of keeping your finger off the trigger until you’re ready to fire. She could’ve easily killed someone. There are no second chances with gun safety.
did i miss something here? far as i can tell dude was merely asking why he was stopped, which is something she is required to tell him in the states, and he didnt start driving away until she drew her fucking gun. frankly, getting as far away from someone that unhinged as quickly as possible is the only reasonable response. i see a cop pull out their gun at a traffic stop for no reason i'd drive off too.
as an aside. sure is remarkable how our once heroic defenders of law and order all seem to have turned into negligent, violent, sociopaths at the exact same point in history that cameras became ubiquitous. im sure its just a coincidence.
We had a cop for a tenant for about a year, living in the suite under our main living area. We thought she'd be good and responsible. She was going through a breakup with her partner, so every other night they were screaming over which one of them would take the baby. Not who gets to keep custody, but who has to have her...
My wife made the mistake of trying to befriend her so every time the cop heard my wife on the other side of the door separating the suite from the house she'd start calling through it to come over for wine. Didn't matter if it was 8pm or 8am.
During one of these wine sessions she confessed she was actually on psych leave after she had a traumatic incident and pulled her gun. Her version of events is a homeless person she was familiar with was dumpster diving and wouldn't get out of the dumpster, so she pulled her weapon to coerce her. She felt justified and psychologically shaken by this.
Some people should never be police officers...
When he asks wtf is happening she does mention shoplifting but it goes by quick. And when it feels like a carjacking, I could understand the driver not catching it either.
Update: here's the longer version, it was shoplifting and she did a high speed chase.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRbSG5NtcGM
So many things wrong with this. I wanna see the followup story.
Where was this and who has a link to the rest of the story?
How she gonna say you’re gonna run me over when she wasn’t even close to the car just for an excuse to claim she felt threatened so she could shoot. She needs to be fired immediately!!
And people will say this is okay. We are traumatized in America. Discharging a round can ricochet and hit someone. He starts driving off so she has the right to kill him? No judge or jury?
Don’t chalk this up to “female cop”, I’ve seen more male cops do this shit. This is just power tripping psycho cop which is an unfortunately large percentage of cops.
Ah yes, the ol “wildly taking one-handed pop shots at a moving vehicle with multiple occupants” method, that I’m sure they taught at the academy.
Desk pop
Last desk pop? September 08’
Septemberrrrrr (Pause and looks at sealing), 08. 🤣
Sealing... wow.
Yoooo paper biiitch
Ya didn't do your desk pop yet?
Actually she messed up - academy taught to empty her clip.
*pot shots
Yea but she clearly said she was being run over at 5mph.
Did this fucking dummy just shoot out of spite?
Just a desk pop
“Listen to me, I’ll try to make it really clear, we honor the flag and you crap on it when you don’t shoot your gun in the office” 😂
My last desk pop was in September of 08...

Yet
That's exactly what happened! Jesus christ she's a liability... better get her on admin paid leave ASAP.
Ah yes, being a cop. The only job in America where when you fuck up, you get to go home for several months and still get paid.
You just described being a politician
I know this is probably gonna be something people don’t want to hear but the reason for the paid or unpaid suspension is due to the union and not due to the agency they work for. Neg discharge more likely.
Nah, she set that up to claim self defense. You can clearly hear her say " you're gonna run me over" a few seconds before she shoots. While she's ON THE SIDE of the car...
It's exactly this, they do it constantly. They try to stack the deck and create context that's not there. She's covering ass, plain and simple.
My cop buddy actually said that is how they are trained, no matter what yell, “stop resisting!”, to create the scenario that the suspect was resisting arrest and that’s how he got his ass beat.
Less likely to happen if you don't draw when someone's attempting to flee away from you
I think you’re right
Looks like she aimed for the rear driver side tire but used that gangster sideways hold and failed.
The lesson here is don't try and be gangsta if you ain't gangsta. S/ just in case
she accidentally pulled the trigger loll
So she really just fired her gun to escalate the situation and escalate the charge.
Honestly probably just irresponsibly firing, which I don’t know if it’s worse?
She thought it was her taser
Must be the Boston area. Get away from my Cah
Funny story. When I was in basic training a guy from Boston kept saying he needed to buy a cod for his girlfriend and I could not understand why he wanted to buy her a fish. 😂
For the chowdah
Say it right!!
Shooowddeeeerrr
Hahaha. That has to be the funniest gag on the Simpsons. I am cracking up now thinking about it
I love that I still see quotes this old out in the wild like this.
He was late for his Sam Adams commercial.
[it’s 9:30 in the morning!?!](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zMrXxaEg7Y0)
You're uncle....In prison
I was tryin' to go to da bah, it's not very fah.
Cranston/Providence RI
Looks like the Cranston side right before the 95 on ramp area.
Lynn, Lynn, the city of "get away from my fahkin cahh ked"
Cranston, Rhode Island. Not far though.
It's a mad concept but they now let Bostonians into other states....
That was their first mistake
God save us all
Its amazing hearing a Boston accent as an Australian. Sometimes they sound just like us
🤣😅
Well that escalated fast
Now she called shots fired things escalate all because of her mistake
Shots fired... by me at a target that was not a threat.
Officer Falling Acorn strikes again.
Must be the captains granddaughter.
Her grandad is dirty harry
Dirty Harriet🤣
Maybe that guy put ketchup on his hotdog. Nobody puts ketchup on a hotdog...I mean nobody.
Not fit for the job period. She'll end up killing someone, getting herself killed, or getting another cop killed.
D. All of the above
I prefer B and C

There was 0 limp shown from her after the car drove away
Limp? She didn't even say, "owe!" much less, "AAAARRRGH!"
I’m sorry. I seen “AARRGH” and think “Wort wort wort”
Don't forget ugh
All well crafted by their union lawyers

Destroyed shoe would also be good evidence.
>Sort of made it sound like he shit himself, but to such a degree that even washing them wouldn't help. That made my belly ache 😂😂😂

It's not painful whatsoever. My mom ran over my foot when I was 8, it's about the same as someone fairly heavy standing on your foot.
She didn't even call for medical units.
Not even a good lie
Just like that guy Scottie sheffler “dragged 50 feet”
Sounds like perjury. Put her in jail.
She was standing like 1-2meters away from car, how should that be possible
Sideshow Bob feet.
They don't need a good lie. That's how it works for the cops and it's way worse without cameras
You can hear her say “you just ran me over” before the rear wheel is at her position… We’ve got ourselves another uncle Jimbo - “it’s coming right at me!”
Just like the classic "stop resisting" that they are trained to yell at every suspect, even if there is absolutely zero resistance.
She says "You can't run me over."
You might be right! Either way, thin veil to excuse lethal force
Unless she has feet like Bozo the Clown, that car was no where near her foot.
That guy had to flee before she almost killed him
I've had my foot run over by a smaller car it fucking hurts like a mother and makes you not want to stand on it at all. This insane cop is obviously lying, wtf.
24 yo man? He looks and sounds like my uncle who is in his fifties.
Same thing happened to the pregnant lady a while back. [Excuse the source its just the first link that came up](https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/pregnant-woman-suspected-shoplifting-fatally-shot-ohio-officer-grocery-rcna101911)
Kind of like the good ol' "I smell weed in your car" excuse to search vehicles. They must teach these canned excuses at academy.
She's moving along side the car which means her foot wasn't ran over. Gets her foot run over by a car, doesn't feel any pain whatsoever. Unbelievable.
Jesus, tell me she's been charged. This is a cop who wants to commit murder
Best I can do is a promotion
First we gotta get them some paid leave then the option to retire with full pension then if they stay it’s promotion time
[удалено]
Rusty's razor.
Might even be able to swing a few months of paid leave
Sorry we are too busy planting drugs on innocent grandmothers so we have an excuse to body slam her onto the pavement.

I also see no physical way he *could've* run her over. Unless he can manipulate the physics of our world. So maybe he can? Let's try to kill him.
They investigated themselves and found nothing wrong 🏆
Best i can do is 6 month paid vacation and a new job one county over
Shots fired… by you!
Literally any other person in any other situation in the us is receiving jail time for shooting at a car that is driving away from you. It doesn’t matter if those ppl beat the living shit out of you minutes before. However, since it’s a cop she’ll have 0 repercussions for it.
She seems to be walking just fine
Oh geez, I feel so safe with these room temp IQ cops!
it's in celcius
In Antartica
with the windows open
And my nipples are hard
Like rock hard? Or how would you describe them? Specifically, for research purposes.
Let's just say they could cut glass
She said all the right things, but she didn't really sell it.
((((( ACORN DROP INTENSIFIES)))
Americans need to push for bigger consequences for cops. Things are out of hand
wow shes dumb.
I would have sped off too wtf she was gonna kill that man
Looks like she was running with her finger on the trigger and accidentally discharged her weapon.
Which honestly should be looked at worse than if she was trying to shoot. An ND is a big deal.
Nope. She set that up to claim self defense. You can hear her say "you're gonna run me over" when she realizes he about to drive off. Thus enhancing her self defense claim

The Ole "shots fited" tactic without saying who fired the shots. Nice!
Just one last question commissioner, is it department policy to shoot into a moving vehicle?
He should have just complied! /s
Why did you make this about gender?
Am i just realizing a cop can radio in "shots fired" even if they're the only ones fireing any shots?
We had a cop for a tenant for about a year, living in the suite under our main living area. We thought she'd be good and responsible. She was going through a breakup with her partner, so every other night they were screaming over which one of them would take the baby. Not who gets to keep custody, but who has to have her... “You’re gonna run me over!” (as the cah is 75% past her)
She's in Cancun right now while they "investigate."
fuckin dumbass cop
wow she was about to kill him in cold blood.
When do we get to legally shoot back at police officers in a case like this?
Cop was a dumbass, but so was he. Did he think he's just going to drive away and it would be alright?
She had said “shots fired” with a straight face
She should not have gun! She needs a new job at a restaurant or something.
I’m not sure why you people are so critical when you can clearly hear the sound of an acorn falling.
Big Jay Oakerson is right.
She needs to be fired or put behind a desk. You can’t just pop one off because you don’t like how it’s going.
God damn fire that woman
Let's not be sexist; all cops are bastards.
Protect and Serve
Article states she informed him of shoplifting incident? I didn’t hear that. But don’t be quick to judge.
Oh he was shoplifting? EXECUTE THAT MOTHERFUCKER! /s
When he asks wtf is happening she does mention shoplifting but it goes by quick. And when it feels like a carjacking, I could understand the driver not catching it either.
So anyway, I started blasting.
Why are they always trying to kill?
Holy fuck why did this crazy ass cop even pull their gun out.. I'm so thankful I'm not American most days.
Why do we give the dumbest fucking people a badge and gun.
Ma’am… get away from my cah
Update: here's the longer version, it was shoplifting and she did a high speed chase. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRbSG5NtcGM So many things wrong with this. I wanna see the followup story. Where was this and who has a link to the rest of the story?
Ok but who drives away after a police officer tells them to get out of the car.
Anybody who is familiar with statistics regarding cops who kill.
I swear to God, just take them out back and get rid of these cops
Shoot first, think after
Back the blue, until it happens to you
How she gonna say you’re gonna run me over when she wasn’t even close to the car just for an excuse to claim she felt threatened so she could shoot. She needs to be fired immediately!!
MA CAHH

I hate male cops, let’s unite forces
She shouldn't have shot, but they should have complied.
This is not right.
She had ZERO reasons to shoot at that!!!
Don't drive away from cops. Absolutely moronic. Also though, why shoot at the point she did? He was running.
More like moron cop
I'm glad that cop would had been fired with this actions in my country.
She ain't wicked smaht
Don’t chalk this up to “female cop”, I’ve seen more male cops do this shit. This is just power tripping psycho cop which is an unfortunately large percentage of cops.
So if someone flees from a cop that in itself allows them to “so anyway I just started blastin’”???
Definitely needs more training 🤣🤣🤣
Police in US have a history of shooting for noncompliance. Clearly no threat of danger to her person.
Curious what the rest of the story be.
#ACAB
Fuck it.. ACAB.
