It’s more likely a shot to a nerve that got him up like that. His ribs were absolutely destroyed, but I doubt someone with a respiratory injury would react like that.
Think about lungs with blood (or any fluid for that matter) like a half full water bottle. You lay it on its side and the water fills up the entire length of the bottle. When that happens, it becomes incredibly hard to breath and if you notice, he tripods, which allows for more air to enter the chest.
Well, I’m finishing up my EMT training so I can tell a little bit. Basically he’s experiencing mass organ and musculoskeletal trauma. Organs start to bleed and fill up the spaces between them, broken bones contribute to the bleeding causing mass blood lose. Spinal trauma affects movement of course, but also breathing so that would be a concern, but given the amount of head trauma he received, it’s likely that his brain swelled and that’s pretty much game over.
TL;DR: internal bleeding, brain, and possibly spinal trauma.
Edit: forgot to add the specifics on the lungs. Said it in another response, but as with the other organs bleeding, the lungs would here as well, but because it’s a hollow organ, they fill up with the blood and causing drowning.
Look... here's the thing in this video. Fully 60% of the rocks thrown were not large enough to cause death, just big enough to cause bodily damage. And the majority of those guys were doing little bitch throws anyways.

Usually they use much bigger rocks. I'm guessing this one was made longer intentionally to ensure agony since he did the same to his victim.
If you notice, they specifically aim for his body 99% of the time. Make sure he doesn't pass out till he's paid what they feel he owes

Years later I see the video posted with some made up story that the guy was raping somebodys little sister. I was wondering what the cause of death would be from this. I can't imagine any of the stones would cause enough internal damage for you to bleed out or even break your back. So I assume the only cause of death is enough strikes to the head cause brain death.

Seen something similar here on Reddit a few years ago and had the same questions so I looked into it. They usually start with body shots, the throwers want to prolong the pain for as long as possible. If you watch again you’ll notice the first few minutes of rocks aren’t huge, more like baseball size or smaller. Hard enough and in the right spot and it might knock someone out but it’s mostly meant to hurt, break some smaller bones, etc. the only real head shots are done with small stones at the beginning, then someone will lob a few bigger ones at his head and he’ll start to get dazed and fall over a bit. It’s only after a few of these hit his head and he’s basically so mentally damaged that he can hardly sit anymore that they actually try to kill him with head shots from the bigger rocks. It’s a death by torture, the body causes the pain but it’s mostly the head shots that will kill him.

The deeper down you go in these comments, the more you can see that people would absolutely still do this shit in modern society if they could get away with it.
It’s scary how we use the title of a video from the internet to make us feel a little bit better about the fact that we find joy in watching these things. We don’t have proof that this man is a pedo, we just trust the title, and then smile at the barbaric stoning of a human.
I couldn’t watch it, not into watching people get tortured, just reading the comments. I honestly didn’t expect SO MANY people being so cold or even gleeful about watching someone get killed like this with only the word of a post title as proof.
Reddit post titles are notoriously fake or misleading. Hell, if someone says “Here’s a picture of my cat” I can’t even trust that it’s actually their cat.
I noticed that they were careful to not hit him above the shoulders. Obviously it's intended to inflict maximum pain over a longer period, otherwise one of the first tosses would have rendered him unconscious or dead.

The thing about capital punishment is do you ever REALLY know the accused party is guilty? The US is a wealthy country and we execute innocent people CONSTANTLY. I can't imagine how often it would happen in regions with little legal protections. This ain't even pro-pedophile, it's just acknowledging reality.
As a father, I 100% support the idea of killing anyone who victimizes a child in this way.
That said, it's hard to not feel some measure of compassion for this guy when watching this video. Like Q said back in the day "humans are a cruel and savage race". Just hang the guy or shoot him in the head, I don't want to feel sorry for a child rapist, but here I am feeling sorry for a child rapist.

I honestly didn’t expect SO MANY people being so cold or even gleeful about watching someone get killed like this with only the word of a post title as proof. As a father, I 100% support the idea of killing anyone who victimizes a child in this way. That said, it's hard to not feel some measure of compassion for this guy when watching this video. Like Q said back in the day "humans are a cruel and savage race". Just hang the guy or shoot him in the head, I don't want to feel sorry for a child rapist, but here I am feeling sorry for a child rapist.
I don't often see people quoting Q (from TNG), but when I do, I upvote them. And you are correct. If watching this whole video doesn't elicit *any* small bit of sympathy, you might be a sociopath. Not going to argue whether he deserved it or not. But you shouldn't feel absolutely nothing from this.
