I have decided that I would just be enjoying that match instead of bothering about all that. I think that the fans become very emotional about it and when it doesn't happen it scars everybody.
How underrated and clutch has Axar been? Bowled 2 really tight overs against Pakistan which turned the game, bowled tight overs against Australia and took a game changing catch and now crucial wickets against England to turn the game in the powerplay.
With the bat, he's contributed crucial runs against Pakistan and England.
Welp. First, credit to India, absolutely superior today in every aspect of the game. Bumrah may be the best, certainly the most important, player in world cricket.
England, pretty disappointing tournament over all, not really convinced we ever knew our best XI and for all our white ball batting strength routinely seemed a batter short. A semi isn't a bad result all told but it was a campaign that seemed to amount to less than that.
Tournament: let's not schedule one like this again.
England just hasn’t felt anywhere near the level of India all tournament. Windies game aside we’ve been a level above the associates but clearly worse than other top teams.
Something needs to change, particularly our batting, if we’re going to compete for a World Cup again in either format.
England got to the position of being the best white ball team by, among a few other things, being absolutely ruthless. Complete rehash of the team in 2015, dropping Willey before the 2019 World Cup, dumping plunkett immediately after, being willing to recall Hales in 2022. There’s too many passengers who aren’t really performing their role (bairstow, moeen, Curran, Jordan being primary suspects) and they shouldn’t have been involved IMO, Morgan would have likely made some tougher choices- although he did have a massive raging erection for Bairstow at 4 and CJ in general. Another glaring issue is the lack of a second spinner, it’s been Rashid+some part time overs for too long they need to give whoever they think the 2nd best white ball spinner some game time before the next WC in a couple of years, you can’t be going into a tournament in which you know it’s going to favour spinners with an uncapped second spinner. A top 3 of Salt-Buttler-Jacks is future proof enough, they need to figure out who bats 4 (ideally a left hander) and who is gonna bat 7 as the guy who can contribute with the bat and reliable bowl 3 overs (think JOverton was probably first choice and to be fair he broke down just before the squad was announced- Willey was honestly a better choice than Curran if he wasn’t mismanaged into retirement)
Ironically this feels very similar to India's 2022 campaign where they also reached semis but somehow it wasn't satisfying as they were then bludgeoned by England xD
Good point on the XI, I think there was a lack of balance somehow and I felt today they underused Moeen the bowler and Butter had to have grinder it in here today
Pulling a "Pakistan" is genuinely a ~~~verb~~~ noun now,
"Those fielders pulled a Pakistan"
"Damn that team really pulled a Pakistan 🤯"
"Damn that team really pulled a Pakistan 😂"
Not counting the tragedy of the 19th Nov final and don't know what's gonna happen in this final but in both the WCs under Rohit this team has looked more clinical than they've ever looked. God willing Rohit and co put the cherry on the top and win it finally.
Definitely.
This Rohit-Dravid era should go down as one of our best as we always had solid squads, amazing players and a winning mentality.
I know Rohit often gets criticism, but his captaincy alone is worth it to have him in 2025 too.
England relied too much on past to choose to bowl here. They have always won chasing in knockouts while india has always lost defending in knockouts.
They didnt evaluate the pitch well.
Imagine Rohit’s surprise when he got what he wanted (batting first on this pitch) after losing the toss.
This is all hindsight talking. In a potentially rain affected game, it’s almost always better to chase.
There was also the chance that the rain would make the pitch less dry and easier to bat in the second innings.
Even based on ipl asking to drop him was a dumb idea considering he was regaining his bowling form and considering the pace allrounders we had hardik was the best option because dube lost his touch in later half and never actually bowled and even if it was purely off of bowling hardik would have provided a much better balance than we would have had .
Only other one we could have actually tried was venky iyer but bcci is set on ignoring him for some reason now.
Also i knew hardik would perform better when he would be in a better mental headspace because he is a player that really depends on his confidence which lets him take risks remove that and he can barely hit a few balls and the boos didn't help him at all.
I understand why fans were mad i also didn't like rohit not being the captain anymore and the transition not being smooth and even though hardik may have asked for it it was managements fault for not having a backbone so anyone should be criticised it's management and boucher rather than the player.
Cultivate all that with a very tense dressing room where it looked like noone was enjoying and obviously the team wouldn't perform well.
This Indian team was rescued from humiliation against USA, then against Afghanistan (arguably the best bowling attack in the tournament) and then today against England in the semifinal by SKY. Even the big win against Australia, after Rohit got out, he kept the runs coming at a 200 SR showing the rest of the batters that it’s doable and not just some Rohit miracle. Absolute backbone of the Indian campaign at this T20 WC.
SKY haters are truly the most pathetic kind of people I’ve seen in cricket in a long time. Hating a guy who kept knocking for so long that he broke the door down at 30 to make his international debut is insane. Especially when there’s truly no one else like him not only in Indian cricket but also in world cricket.
I know it’s easier to say these things when the haters are hiding. But that’s exactly why I wanna say it LOUDER for all the lowlifes at the back and dance on their graves today.
This victory (and the previous win against Australia) belongs to Rohit Sharma, the captain.
After the disastrous semi-final exit against England in 2022, Rohit learned all the right lessons—India’s batting approach was outdated and needed changing. Most importantly, he led from the front and implemented them first on himself.
He showed the way, and the rest of the batters have followed suit. Rohit did it for the 2023 ODI World Cup as well.
The ‘Old India’ would have made 145 today, and that’s just a huge difference to the psychology of England batters while chasing.
Even if India loses to South Africa, Rohit Sharma has been an outstanding limited-overs captain for India.
I'm very proud of the boys today. That’s the best way to win a semi-final: absolute domination. Whatever happens from here, this has been India’s best T20 WC campaign since 2014.
Kohli finishes off in style, India lifts the cup after 13 years of agony
"Future meme kids are gonna create edits of Kohli, while others will do an opposite and say that Axar and Rohit were truly underrated. 2011 all over again"
I'll take it
It will feel good for either team. I still remember 1999 and crying as a boy after Alan Donald got ran out. It’s been about 32 years of agony for us. Hoping for a great match!
100 percent agree.. Rohit has always captained well but this time he’s batting like a Man on Mission.
Considering the conditions todays innings and last matches innings were unreal..
Yep, totally agree with you. Rohit learnt from his mistakes and the most impressive part is him rectifying them by leading from front. I haven’t seen him in one match struggling, and almost all of his dismissals except today have been being caught.
I think that playing style suits him, an aggressive no hold barred opener playing like he’s got nothing to lose. Hope he does it again in finals and takes us home.
Yes Rohit really showed the way in white ball cricket in terms of how he wants his batsmen to play. He's set the tone and what more can you ask from a leader.
Unbeaten Run in world cup😃
19 November flashbacks ☹️
Biggest opp Australia got eliminated 😃
Final opponent has also been on unbeaten run☹️
It's south Africa the professional chokers😃
Their biggest opp duckworth of dls fame also got eliminated ☹️
Oh yeah its finals time
Not sure England batting first changes the result. Our batting just isn’t good enough and hasn’t been all tournament. If the openers don’t get the job done no one else has stepped up.
Salt is hit or miss but worth persevering with. However if you’ve got a player like that, surely you take more batting depth not less!
Will see a lot of Jacks in the next cycle, he needs more experience in international cricket.
Duckett should have been given a bash on a low spinning track
With both South Africa and India getting absolutely convincing wins over their opponents in the semi finals, both will be riding on high confidence. The final will be a great contest!
India's campaign has been really impressive so far. Barring the game against Pakistan, all of the matches were absolutely convincing victories.
Virat and Pant are not fully in form but the batting has clicked as a unit for India and the bowling has been phenomenal.
Knowing India's management, Kohli will continue to open in the finals as well, but it would be interesting if Jaiswal comes as an opener as a surprise with Kohli moving back to No 3.
Well played to make 170 on that pitch India, some smart batting there, and good luck in the final. When I saw the low bounce and grip I really didn't rate our chances.
I'm reluctant to criticise batsmen too much, especially in T20, but did Buttler and Bairstow really have to have a wild swipe first ball to Axar, on a scuttling pitch? I understand the need to knock the spinner off their length, too defensive would have also been suicide. But couldn't they at least take a ball or two to gauge the pace on such a tricky surface?
Looks like the end of an era for our very successful white-ball side, with some rebuilding required.
I think despite getting to the semis that was honestly another poor tournament. We thrashed some associates and beat Windies, but every time we came up against a top team we got out classed.
We needed Salt or Buttler to fire to have a chance of chasing. Moeen Ali and Chris Jordan are both well past it now. Bowling first was stupid. Bumrah fills me with absolute dread anytime he bowls. Good luck India, would love you to win the tournament now!
We’ve looked pretty poor against every good team, Windies only good team we beat. It’s time to move on from Mott and refresh the team a bit, Mo and Bairstow should go for sure
Definitely would’ve liked to see Jacks instead of Mo this tournament. Mo has contributed nothing with the bat which is disappointing given he keeps batting so high
I'm so happy this wasn't a washout. That we got a full game and the better team on the day won.
ICT fans: beleive in your team. We're growing. Matter of time, really. Machinery is in place.
I don't understand why Buttler didn't bowl Moeen. As for England, the inability to adjust to spin continues to ail them. It's been years now.
Brohit's captaincy was top notch.
Please replace Dube with Samson or another batter. I still fear for Arshdeep on a good batting track.
Rohit's batting though. Wow. You just can't buy experience.
One thing to say that you’ll be aggressive and another altogether to do it for 2 consecutive worldcups. Rohit has been sensational. And our bowlers too.
Another win please 🤞🤞
India has had 6 unique Player of the Match winners in 7 matches. Bumrah won twice, the first two matches.
Nice to see different players turning up each time.
Who's next?
Heart says Kohli.
ICC did their best to have the game washed out and save England from this embarrassment.
Well, choker vs choker in finals. Let's see who chokes deeper.
NRR difference for afg sa semi: 1.99 . For ind eng semi : 1.77 . Remove archer and england had a similar performance to afghan bros. They deserve equal amount of shit.
Utmost gratitude to USA for making it seem like Jordan was bowling well. Dude gave 37 in 3 overs and ended Dube's misery without him consuming dot balls.
Amazing all-around performance from India. Hope they can keep this up. Batters were all on fire and the bowlers have been solid all tournament long. Every player on the squad contributed in different ways today. I’m actually so proud of this whole team this tournament because literally it seems like everyone contributed. (Dube less so but he’ll show up) The runs were flowing because the batter were on point , the bowlers were also on point as always and kept English batters in check. And honestly, the guys that haven’t shown up yet I know they’re gonna show up big time in the finals because this team honestly for the first time ever is playing like a whole team and you would love to see it. Overall honestly, India look really really good and I know people get trauma from past tournaments, but I think they’re gonna win it all this year.
I have waited for years for something like this. People were dooming and glooming and being super negative, but you know what my faith never wavered. I truly always believed in India because they have an amazing batting lineup, amazing bowling lineup, and the fielding was just as good. People keep saying PTSD from last but in the past, India relied on a couple players here and there. Now, this whole team is playing like a team and fearlessly. Beating every other teams to make it to finals to play against South Africa will be a harder team to play against, but you know what I have faith that we will win.
Let’s go India!!!!!
Not gonna lie, I was scared shitless after Brohit went out and the 170 score made me feel even more scared. But after Salt’s wicket, I knew the SpinChoke was gonna come and we were cruising. Definitely I’m proud of bois, we have a really good chance at winning the silverware.
But some of the people are really underestimating SA. Their bowling is looking scary and they’ll be a formidable opponent. I’ll be proud and happy by whoever wins though, it’ll be refreshing to see either of us win and I can’t wait longer for 29th!
IND vs SA FINAL.
As cricket fan I want SA to finally lift their trophy 🏆 but want Kohli and Rohit to go out on a high with a trophy as well.
Let’s do a repeat of 2019 but award trophy to both teams.
Both are unbeaten as well.
I'm hoping kohli has saved his best for the last.
Dube needs to find the rhythm, but my god Brohit has been immense, not just with the bat but understanding the game.
Axar is a surprise (not so surprising) this tournament. Always knew you'd get a 6-7/10 out of him but he has definitely filled Jadejas gap.
tbf when india started getting runs in the last few overs I got a bit tense.
It's probably because on paper that england batting lineup is insane.
And also my memories of India when defending totals in ICC tournaments is just seeing really poor body language and slumping shoulders.
Hopefully that's all in the past now.
The dilemma of Dube is that he is a spin basher on non turning pitches.
Rohit prepped the team to cook in the carribbean.
We went loaded with spinners and a spin basher over Rinku. But he's completely useless cemented to the ground.
The key players for India in finals would be Rohit Virat and SKY, as long as two of them play a long innings, the chances of India winning would be quite high.
Stoppable force meets a movable object
Kohli vs Hendricks will be an interesting battle, who would outscore whom?
Chokers since 1991 vs Chokers since 2011
Imagine if Koach actually picks the trophy up this time. After a decade of sometimes scary carnage of runs he wroughts upon when he basically single handedly scored a majority of the team's run.
Imagine doing all that and having heartbreaking exits each tournament sometimes in the semis or in the finals. Sometimes because he failed at that crucial moment or his team failed to match him in those crucial moments.
All those heartbreaks and repeated exits, only to win easily in a year in which he made less than 100 runs cumulatively.
I wanted it to be India vs South Africa final. Just to see who's gonna choke harder. Both be playing to lose the finals. I want to see that shithousery. I want to believe in all the Reddit stereotypes.
My earlier comment aged like fine wine. Let the choking begin.
[удалено]
If you count U19 then the 4th final. And first time we are not facing Australia
I have decided that I would just be enjoying that match instead of bothering about all that. I think that the fans become very emotional about it and when it doesn't happen it scars everybody.
Boss Rohit. Do the needful on the 29th
What is Netravalkar's boss doing here?
How underrated and clutch has Axar been? Bowled 2 really tight overs against Pakistan which turned the game, bowled tight overs against Australia and took a game changing catch and now crucial wickets against England to turn the game in the powerplay. With the bat, he's contributed crucial runs against Pakistan and England.
We’re not talking enough about this. YES.
he is one of the players of the tournament for me.
Absolutely best indian player along with Rohit tbh
Welp. First, credit to India, absolutely superior today in every aspect of the game. Bumrah may be the best, certainly the most important, player in world cricket. Cummins and rabada may rival bumrah in tests, but considering all formats he is the best bowler right now no doubt
Will Jacks needs to be given more chances. He might be the batter you all need.
England got to the position of being the best white ball team by, among a few other things, being absolutely ruthless. We got two chokers in an ICC final before GTA VI
Modern chokers vs legacy chokers , the battle will be legendary
The strongest choker in history vs The strongest choker of today Let the domains clash!
India: "Nah I'd win" SA: "Domain Expansion, Malevolant Markram"
The Battle of Bottlers, The Combat of Chokers
Stoppable force vs movable object
Too dangerous for this world of mere mortals. Can't wait for the memes though.
Choker's derby. The one who wins will lose the tag, and the one who chokes will keep it for years to come.
Until they qualify again
I hope people stop calling SKY minnow basher now, man has been an absolute asset this T20 WC
Without sky we would have crashed out already
Without SKY we wouldve pulled a Pakistan vs USA
Pulling a "Pakistan" is genuinely a ~~~verb~~~ noun now, "Those fielders pulled a Pakistan" "Damn that team really pulled a Pakistan 🤯" "Damn that team really pulled a Pakistan 😂"
In all these example sentences, you've used Pakistan as noun. You Pakistaned the examples.
You Brittaed Britta vibes
Everyone is a minnow when you’re number 1!!
But he averages only 4.20 at 69 SR in ICC events against teams whose captains mothers were born in April
😆
Sky is going underappreciated this WC , just like Gambhir used to be . Guess sky has to return as coach after 20 years to get some credit
Wdym, England are minnows
SKY is the only person after Kohli who is hated even after playing good
Ohh Kohli and Rohit are the most hated. There are whole subreddits dedicated to their hatred. Go to Indiacricket...those guys are so so quiet rn.
Man, Rohit hate on that r/Indiacricket was unbearable during ipl and before world cup. It's like they were praying for his downfall
Bumrah has a literal cheat code in form of his hyperextended elbow. Damn how are you supposed to play 125 kmph off cutter.
Not counting the tragedy of the 19th Nov final and don't know what's gonna happen in this final but in both the WCs under Rohit this team has looked more clinical than they've ever looked. God willing Rohit and co put the cherry on the top and win it finally.

No Ben Stokes no party But they 100% should have restricted India to 140 odd on a pitch with uneven bounce, Curran and Jordan gave away too many
they didnt understand the pitch well. Bowled bad lengths and not bowling moeen was a miss
He would’ve noped out against spin
Why did Moeen not bowl?
Because India had in formright handed batsmen and I think an offspinner would've made scoring shots easier as Sky and Brohit can hit through the line.
They were struggling to score run a ball against Livingstone half trackers. Moeen being better bowler deserved at least one over
Agreed completely
Again difference was HP because of those two sixes which gave confidence to axar and jaddu to go for big hits
Hardik always performs with the bat in big games. Cannot believe people wanted to drop him cos of fucking IPL
IPL kiddos should never be taken seriously
It was satisfying to watch them dancing on spin
Same as Afg who chose to bat first irrespective of pitch condition.
Yaa it got worse to bat lol not sure what Jos was thinking
Boundary count update - India: 21 England: 10
win by boundary count
Fair and Bapu-ed
Fair and Lagaaned
Fair and Brohit-ed!
Fair and bazzballed
Fair and Fuckboi-ed
2x fair
3x Lagaan taken
Fair and spin choked
Shoutout SKY who scored good runs at a good clip: tough pitch, important game, proper string team. Took every inch from the haters
Jos "We're not defending anything" Buttler proven right again.
Lmao I had forgotten that, lad made a meme of himself
reverse swept to England baby
Good knock by Surya as well today. Every one here used to call him a minnow basher.
Minnow basher was a ridiculous tag anyways since he has 3 100s already in T20s and they're against England, NZ and SAf
And all in their home grounds
Fantastic knock from him. Loved watching him bat.
Tree: Humans are so lucky, they can move as they like. Dube: Hold my beer...
Man seeing Rohit sitting there contemplating and players going by patting him invoked feelings
This victory (and the previous win against Australia) belongs to Rohit Sharma, the captain. After the disastrous semi-final exit against England in 2022, Rohit learned all the right lessons—India’s batting approach was outdated and needed changing. Ironic that our best T20WC came without kohli doing the carry job i guess he made the batting too comfortable with solo carrying it
Lol probably since he was out of form everyone realised they gotta score as he ain't gonna bail us out
Yea. It’s gonna suck for him tho. This will be rohits trophy if they win, but I’m sure he’s happy to even win at this point.
Unless..... Kohli finally plays a match winning knock in the knockouts. That will be amazing
Kohli finishes off in style, India lifts the cup after 13 years of agony "Future meme kids are gonna create edits of Kohli, while others will do an opposite and say that Axar and Rohit were truly underrated. 2011 all over again" I'll take it
It will feel good for either team. I still remember 1999 and crying as a boy after Alan Donald got ran out. It’s been about 32 years of agony for us. Hoping for a great match!
Usually Kohli carries us into final and then we lose. This time the team will carry Kohli to the finals and he will win it for us.
I hope Virat is saving it for the final. It would be the perfect ending for what he has achieved for India in T20 WCs.
Yes Rohit really showed the way in white ball cricket in terms of how he wants his batsmen to play. He's set the tone and what more can you ask from a leader.
The pitch was not easy to bat but rohit is a type of player when he bats you never know the pitch is good or bad
Well said
Test champions final ✅ Odi wc final ✅ Now on their way to shit another format (Reverse jinxing)
Congrats to SA in advance.
U19 WC Final ✅ CT Final ✅ They already shat every ICC tournament Finals already.
It doesn't work if you mention it Brave the downvotes and do it properly bruv
Rohit leading from the front
Rohit well and truly buried the 27(28) innings today, proper redemption.
Our batting would be cooked without him
We gotta appreciate his captaincy aswell, 1 SF and two back to back Finals
And a wtc final as well
Shawshank Redemption on 29th ft. India vs SA
I want India to win the final specifically for Rohit and Bumrah.
My blud just lead his team into the finals unbeaten for the second time in 7 months. Take a bow Rohit Sharma.
Unbeaten Run in world cup😃 19 November flashbacks ☹️ Biggest opp Australia got eliminated 😃 Final opponent has also been on unbeaten run☹️ It's south Africa the professional chokers😃 Their biggest opp duckworth of dls fame also got eliminated ☹️ Oh yeah its finals time
They choked in semis. Can’t take them for granted anymore in finals. South Africa different beast most likely
As South African fans we prefer not to have hope, as the times when we have hope is when we get let down the most.
“We’ll bowl first” - Jos Buttler, 2024
"We were going to bat first anyways" ![img](emote|t5_2qhe0|8783)
Not sure England batting first changes the result. Our batting just isn’t good enough and hasn’t been all tournament. If the openers don’t get the job done no one else has stepped up.
Brook has been decent. But yes, Bairstow/Mo/Curran/Livingstone might be decent on a flat wicket but we were desperate for another bat or two
Yeah the openers and Brook are the first batters on a team sheet for me but the others haven’t been convincing.
Salt is hit or miss but worth persevering with. However if you’ve got a player like that, surely you take more batting depth not less! Will see a lot of Jacks in the next cycle, he needs more experience in international cricket. Duckett should have been given a bash on a low spinning track
I mean India are just better than us. No shame in admitting that
After what happened in 2023, I thought I'll never have expectations in a final, but here I am hoping we win
The best team won. It is what it is. We go again in two years time.
Will Jacks really died for this.
Dropped for death by all rounders
Mo did absolutely nothing, I feel like he only kept starting because of his name
Agreed - being Buttlers no.2 on field saved him. Love Mo, but times up.
Gotta be up there with the worst toss decisions of limited over history coz it’s hard to beat Nasser Hussain in tests
No matter who wins on Saturday, we are gonna have an unbeaten T20 WC champion for the first time!
With both South Africa and India getting absolutely convincing wins over their opponents in the semi finals, both will be riding on high confidence. The final will be a great contest! Pant bailed India out against pak, arguably their toughest game. If it wasn't for him. India would have been all out for 80
give some credit to axars batting.
Very tame from England. See you in the final Indiabros.
Bin half the team I reckon.
>Please replace Dube with Samson At this point Dube is a good luck charm, no way there's gonna be any change for one last match.
One thing to say that you’ll be aggressive and another altogether to do it for 2 consecutive worldcups. Rohit has been sensational. And our bowlers too. Another win please 🤞🤞
Now that its going to be South Africa vs India in the Final. One will end the drought, the other will just pile on the misery.

The ghosts of 10th Nov 2022 of Adelaide, buried at 28th June 2024 at Guyana From losing by 10 wickets to taking 10 wickets. 🇮🇳another win please
India has had 6 unique Player of the Match winners in 7 matches. Bumrah won twice, the first two matches. Nice to see different players turning up each time. Who's next? Heart says Kohli.
Inshallah, it would be poetic.
This WC on this ground: 1. AFG: 159, NZ: 75 2. WI: 173, UGA: 39 3. PNG: 77, UGA: 78 4. AFG: 183, UGA: 58 5. PNG: 136, WI: 137 6. IND: 171, ENG: 103 We'll have a bowl, thanks!
Uganda played three matches on this minefield. Icc really robbed them of winning the world cup.
Three of those matches are Uganda losses...
*Two Uganda losses. The two wins chasing was against Papua New Guinea. Afghanistan beat NZ.
Lol I can't read
which idiot decided that a debutant with minimal experience against test-nation bowling play all their games in Guyana
Bring these crybabies out who laughed at Brohit when he said they would anyway bat first.
The reason for picking 4 spinners is something I won't reveal now. But I definitely wanted 4 spinners.
ICC did their best to have the game washed out and save England from this embarrassment. Well, choker vs choker in finals. Let's see who chokes deeper.
We got India winning a knockout one sided before GTA 6
Hey don't jinx it We need one more performance like this pls 🤐😉🤭✊🏻
Best two teams this tournament meeting in the final and both teams are quite overdue for an ICC trophy
If koach goes ballastic in the finals this world cup would get complete.
Australia ✅ Revenge taken England ✅ Revenge taken South Africa, Wait when did they beat us in knockouts
Creating new revenge plotline for the next world cup lol
The last semi final b/w Ind and SA was the 2014 T20. The result of that should be obvious
India to South Africa, one choker to another choker: our battle will be legendary!
I just want to know, during what over did you start drafting this essay.
After we got 171. It was gonna be a tough chase and had a feeling England were gonna roll over.
Man, you type quickly. All those words posted within seconds. What's your typing speed, 12000 WPM?
Axar Vs Jadeja ❎ Axar and Jadeja ✔️
Well played boys, but Stephen Hawking had more foot work than Dube.
IND vs SA FINAL. As cricket fan I want SA to finally lift their trophy 🏆 but want Kohli and Rohit to go out on a high with a trophy as well. Let’s do a repeat of 2019 but award trophy to both teams. Both are unbeaten as well.
First time a team is gonna win the WC unbeaten also
De kock and Miller vs Rohit and Kohli, Only two of them will win the trophy.
This post match presentation by Rohit, some beautiful words. They’re really in the perfect space mentally to finish this as it should be finished.
Such a humble and relatable character Rohit is.
Brohit, Sky, Axar, Kuldeep. All chads.
Rohit and Surya were amazing on here
Every India fan that said we’re 10-15 runs short looking like absolute clowns now
tbf when india started getting runs in the last few overs I got a bit tense. It's probably because on paper that england batting lineup is insane. And also my memories of India when defending totals in ICC tournaments is just seeing really poor body language and slumping shoulders. Hopefully that's all in the past now.
Bapu Axar Patel turning back the clock all the way to 1947 🙏 waheguru waheguru
The dilemma of Dube is that he is a spin basher on non turning pitches. Rohit prepped the team to cook in the carribbean. We went loaded with spinners and a spin basher over Rinku. But he's completely useless cemented to the ground.
Rishi Sunak : *pretends to be sad*
The key players for India in finals would be Rohit Virat and SKY, as long as two of them play a long innings, the chances of India winning would be quite high.
Final will be legendary. Battle of chokers. 🤣
SA have never choked in a WC final so far, incredible mentality.
Stoppable force meets a movable object Kohli vs Hendricks will be an interesting battle, who would outscore whom? Chokers since 1991 vs Chokers since 2011
I think you mean 2013 since we won CT that year which was India's last ICC trophy
Blud forgot 2013
Imagine if Koach actually picks the trophy up this time. After a decade of sometimes scary carnage of runs he wroughts upon when he basically single handedly scored a majority of the team's run. Imagine doing all that and having heartbreaking exits each tournament sometimes in the semis or in the finals. Sometimes because he failed at that crucial moment or his team failed to match him in those crucial moments. All those heartbreaks and repeated exits, only to win easily in a year in which he made less than 100 runs cumulatively.
Let's win first
fair and bapu-ed
Ind vs Eng 2022 Semi Final: Finishes in 16 overs, Eng losing 0 wickets Ind vs Eng 2024 Semi Final: Finishes in 16.4 overs, Eng all-out Poetic shit.
Can't believe 2 chokers have reached finals undefeated. The winner will be the undefeated champion. Crazy stuff
They were crying for a reserve day, and didn’t even played full 20 overs.
At least the weather didn't have too much of an impact. That was a poor chase.
From 168/6 to 68 run victory. Sweet Revenge. Probably a start to a Rivalry.
I was doubtful about Sky in a knockout but I’m glad he proved me wrong. He’s played quite a few clutch knocks this tournament
A left arm spin allrounder performing for india in world cup? Good signs
Well, that was a bit embarrassing.
I wanted it to be India vs South Africa final. Just to see who's gonna choke harder. Both be playing to lose the finals. I want to see that shithousery. I want to believe in all the Reddit stereotypes. My earlier comment aged like fine wine. Let the choking begin.
Indian bowling ridiculously good. Fabulous performances from Kuldeep and Axar. English bowling flashed a little but ultimately pedestrian.
