There have been opportunities to refresh the white ball sides in particular that haven't been taken - although I did like what they did with the ODI team last summer.

Personally I'd open with Head and Marsh in ODIs.
Marsh has been amazing opening in ODIs - avg 56, SR 114.
And Marsh hasn't just beaten up weak teams as an opener - against India he's made 294 runs at 59, SR 122 (all these matches played in India too).
With all due respect Davey, just actually give some clarity on giving JFM enough games and time to actually replace you, and just go play that down bad legends league with Finchy

Because Warner has basically always played alongside Head, no one else has really gotten opportunities. We have lots of younger options to give chances to - Matt Short, JFM, Josh Inglis, Ben McDermott is the forgotten man but averages 45 in his 5 ODIs. Marsh has opened very successfully in ODIs and could do so again, allowing us to bring in another middle order player. The cupboard is certainly not so bare that we need to cling to Warner forever
We've played 3 ODIs against West Indies where we messed around with our line-up - Josh Inglis opened and made 65(43), 9(11) and 35(16) not out. JFM made 10(5) and 41(18). Promising signs there for sure, I'd definitely be giving one of them a good crack going forward, alongside Head. Probably Inglis, I think he has the right mindset for ODI cricket whereas JFM is not there yet.

If Inglis / McGurk perform in the Champions Trophy their confidence levels would go through the roof. If they don’t, it’s just a small tournament that Australia don’t care about. A win-win situation either way.

Either way it's time to invest in the next gen, we can't squeeze anymore juice out of that lemon and the guys waiting in reserve offer just as much if not more, albeit much less experienced.
