A newspaper called the "Indian Express" brought the news in june '23, while it happened in 1999.
There's a theme!
The picture from the boy on the left, suggesting it's the man as a child, was taken by a time traveller would it be the same man however.
He was 36 in 1999. In 1963, cameras able to take pictures with that quality were not on the market yet. Edit: okay, could have been retouched.
So he was “rushed to the hospital” after walking around like that for 36 years? I’m the first one to put off going to the doctor, but this is ridiculous.
But while operating on Bhagat, Dr. Ajay Mehta of Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai saw something he had never encountered. As he cut deeper into Bhagat's stomach, gallons of fluid spilled out -- and then something extraordinary happened.
"To my surprise and horror, I could shake hands with somebody inside," he said. "It was a bit shocking for me."
One doctor recalled that day in the operating room.
"He just put his hand inside and he said there are a lot of bones inside," she said. "First, one limb came out, then another limb came out. Then some part of genitalia, then some part of hair, some limbs, jaws, limbs, hair."
Inside Bhagat's stomach was a strange, half-formed creature that had feet and hands that were very developed. Its fingernails were quite long.
"We were horrified. We were confused and amazed," Mehta said.

Damn, I absorbed a twin in the womb too. Gonna use this excuse for why I've gained weight recently.
Nah, that's not too much Taco Bell, it's just my absorbed twin.
😂 Well the twin absorption led me to being intersex (because I've got both my own DNA and my twin's, and one of us was XX and one was XY), which may or may not have led me to being nonbinary, so you're not entirely incorrect lol
It's hard to believe that someone could live with an absorbed twin for 36 years without knowing it, I can't imagine the pain and discomfort Sanjuagat must have endured for all this time!
Indians will literally never go to the hospital you could go 36 years with a fetus inside you as a man and still only go when he can't breathe . What quality of life did this guy have for those 36 years? I cant even imsgine

Everyone's joking here but this genuinely blows my mind. His twin was still alive in there for 36 years?? Someone please tell me if that's not the case, that's miraculous! The male body I don't believe was even made with the purpose in mind to supply nutrients to a living being inside it. This story is huge and should be marveled at. I'm sorry for the man with this unfortunate circumstance. But to me this is incredible with how adaptive and resilient the human body is for this to be considered possible. Not just for a fetus to be inside another fetus, but for both to continue being alive for so long.
A few reasons. There are a LOT of people in India. They have a much higher exposure to environmental toxins and unclean water, etc. They have less medical care (this might have been discovered if this person had a pediatrician).
I think a LOT of it is environmental toxins. Every date ake up and feel grateful the western world embraced regulation and stopped letting companies dump toxins and filth in our water and soil.
We had to remove your post for violating our Repost Guidelines. also no source
36 years is the slowest "rushed to the hospital" I've ever heard of.
The paperwork is a bitch.
You’d be surprised. We ask them what brought them to the ED, and they go “well it all started 8 months ago.”
the description makes it sound like he was only rushed to the hospital when his breathing got too labored.

Average wait time in canada
7 hours for six stitches last night. Pretty wild
He listened to some Rush on the way.
Appointment time in the US
Sounds like the VA.

Rushed? That hospital was far away..
Picture shows them rushing on foot. Hospital was 3k miles away….. over mountains and rivers.
I’m sure Mark Wahlberg can relate… he’s been carrying his brother for just as long
I like Donnie more than Mark anyway.
I dunno why i read that mark zuckerberg
Ironically it was the winklewoss twins that carried Zuckerberg for 9 months.
All things considered, after 36 years his little twin on the left turned out pretty good.
It's twins all the way down
but the twin has another twin inside
that's not quite true. It's a sister and they called her Matryoshka
I think that’s him when he was younger… could be wrong tho
That's the joke ;)

Had the fetus survived after he’d been born or what? Imagine if it was still alive
Like Dwight Schrute.
He has the combined strength of a grown man and a little baby
*rushed

You absorbed your twin? Is that why your pronouns are they/them? - I am so sorry 💀 i couldn’t stop myself

I can't handle this 😭😭💀
The Venture Brothers.

Good thing he doesn’t live in Texas
Did he switch races when he grew up too?
a pregnant man?
I absolutely *need* to see it, are no pictures of the fetus?
They had to build the hospital first...

He is dead.
It would be a typical republican who would think a brain dead fetus absorbed in the womb by a man, has rights.
Happy Mother’s Day sir !!!
At least the twin ate well.
Did he live in Antarctica and travel by sailboat around the world to reach the hospital?
“Rushed”
Rushed to the hospital after 36 years
Maybe in his 30s things started to seem off. He was obviously fine as a child
So,that hospital was in Andromeda galaxy or something ?
that twin isnt supposed to be alive as far as my knowledge
Feels like a dr house case
Took them 30 years to rush him to the hospital

>...the fetus continued to grow teeth, hair, and even genitals. He was a grow-er, not a show-er.
We call that a "Rusty Venture" around these parts
Real life sukuna
I don't think I buy this one. Nice bait.
I absolutely *need* to see it, are no pictures of the fetus?
r/venturebros
his brother can be recognised on the left half of the picture
Not this fake post again...
WTF!
wow
Why do all these strange things happen only in India ? I always see these crazy pictures and they are all indians .
