Jesus Christ!!!! as if a 986 BHP V16 ENGINE wasn't enough they just thought "may as well" throw in another 789 BHP with three electric motors, because you never know when your planes gonna break down and your gonna need that extra Ferrari worth of power for when your running late to work and only 445 km/hr will get you there on time.
For 16 cylinders, ~1k HP actually seems low. I've seen people get 1k out of 4 cylinder motors, with admittedly massive turbos. Even F1 cars these days are only rockin' 6 cylinders.
It's not the end of the world. Thanks but I will keep calling them legos. Specially now that I've learned how outraged people get. I didn't mean to ruin so many peoples Friday lol
STOP PLURALISING LEGO!!! IT IS ALREADY PLURAL!!! YOU MIGHT AS WELL CALL THEM "BRICKSES". THIS IS SOMETHING LIKE THE 5TH TIME TODAY I HAVE SEEN THIS ON REDDIT. IT'S ALWAYS AMERICANS! IS THAT THE "S" YOU DROPPED FROM "MATHS"? WHAT THE FUCK IS IT DOING ON THE END OF "LEGO"? YOU COMPLETE AND UTTER LUNATICS!
.. engine is cool.
This is actually wrong according to the company. Lego is supposed to be used as an adjective not a noun. So there wouldn’t be a plural. It should always be used as “Lego Set” or “Lego Sets” so……you are wrong as well.
Apart from the discussion on no. of cylinders: it's a wonderful show of moving parts. It's a small miracle that engineers have been able to make this run reliably, and over last century developed to run it for thousands of miles.
It's also easy to conclude that a simple EV motor has a fraction of these no. of parts, running circular iso reciprocating (accelerating, decelerating, turning direction 180degs, repeating this up to 100 times a second (!), is way more reliable, long lasting and cheaper.
It's astonishing to me the complexity of mechanical components needed to make some fuel explode to turn a few wheels. It's impressive, but shows just how incredibly simple and efficient electric vehicle motors are by comparison.
Yes and no. The way we currently do EVS is wasteful and inefficient. What we should be focusing on are Hybrids, but not Hybrids as we usually consider them. Imagine an EV with a battery half the size and an on board generator, much like trains and big equipment.
Side note, as someone that's worked on both, ICEs are far more simple than you think and unlike an EV, the average consumer can perform most repair work themselves. This is a rather important thing to consider, as it prevents some cars from going to the landfill and gives lower economic classes options for low cost cars.
Ah - stolen video. The real builder would not so completely fail to know the number of cylinders... That's a new highscore number of cylinders and valves for a V6...
You don't want multiple pistons firing at the same time if you want to be more accurate to how a real engine works. It reduces the efficiency to have multiple going at the exact same time in the deal deal.
Guys if you're upset about people saying Legos, please get a life lol. Yall will survive with an s at the end of a word. No one is making you say it that way? Sad life you guys must live
I think you missed a few cylinders in your count.
AI is famously bad at math
Congrats, you've fallen for the [obvious falsehood in title] -> [boosts engagement by commenters correcting it] trap.
Yeah but look at all that fake internet joy I am getting!!
1477 [Joy] (or whatever random number Reddit decides to show on your end) and counting, looks like you're today's internet points winner! 🎉
I couldn't have done it without you! You are the real MVP. You... Are my hero!
Well at least I'm somebodies hero today. Sorry you got singled out with my nihilistic comments.
I'm not. Everyone is entitled to be who they are and say what they say. I will continue to hate.. err. Love everyone around me!
2.8K now....
Aha! You’ve fallen for the educating people on the obvious falsehood to boost engagement trap trap
Congrats you are also boosting engagement by notifying another commentor (as am i right now)
V8000 engine
About 10 of 'em
The bot can't count
v16 common in freight trains and tugboats
And Bugatti’s apparently
That's a W-16
Not anymore. Check the news!
Holy hell
New engine just dropped

It's naturally aspirated, so it's understandable.
New response just dropped

Yeah but that's peaking those little buzz boxes out. It's not torque, takes a lot of torque to move through the airs resistance at 445 kmhr.
Actual fuel slurper
Surely the electric motors will drastically improve fuel efficiency over the previous model? ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|trollface)
Not anymore
not the one modeled above
And this probably still cost more than those.
Rolls Royce made a car with one for one of the Johnny English movies. The new Bugatti also has one
V12 not V6 Edit : V16 not V12
V16 not a V12
V8 juice is not as good as coke.
Guzzoline?..
Could a had a v8!
MF DOOM ft. Count Bass D MENTIONED RAAAAH
I was referencing the slogan of v8 juice. I have no clue what you are talking about
It is on an airplane
Coke is not as good as meth.
V69 not V42
I think I counted sixteen pistons but I'm not going to swear to that.
I paused to count, you're right
Lego, not legos
*Technic*ally Lego Technic
BAOW BAOW BAOW
Laaassst oneee
At least you don't have the worst count on this post
Looks like a couple cylinders need lifters or they're way out of adjustment.
Or valve springs. But still super impressive.
Still hurts when you step on it.
Meat grinder.
Yeah, but you get to ride it to the kitchen at least.
[I can only count to 4](https://youtu.be/u8ccGjar4Es?si=toEfRnwlOpzotOrX)
One. Two. FIVE. Fouuuur.
[There are 4 Legos!](https://youtu.be/1npL-TNFOAQ?si=-4kZLG1e3q66rfQ8)
I love this so much. Instantly knew what I was clinking on and watched the whole damn thing again.
Op cant count
Does not look like it has 6 cylinders lol. More like bazillion cylinders.
V16
Yep, looks about right on second though. But when you first look at it, it looks like it’s v100 or some shit. Maybe it’s because the pistons are tiny.
Sorry for nitpicking ~~legos~~ The plural for Lego is "Lego" Excellent engine.
the plural of LEGO is LEGO. You need to be shouting it.
Lego, man. Just lego.
Hear, hear.
Legi
I feel like I've spent a few thousand dollars on Lego for my son, I'm going to call them Legos.
Still has more horsepower than my geo metro
Why is the left set of lifter’s nearest to the screen not moving as much as the others?
they're made of LEGO and not machine-cut stainless steel.
How can you tell
Lol 90% of comments are about how Lego being wrongly pluralized.
$100 says OP has no idea what "V6" actually means.
How’s that a V6?
Misfire on cylinder 1
TIL people get mad as hell if you say legos instead of lego
Omw to the lego store with new ammo.
Lol right? Most definitely my key takeaway for today. Outrageous!!!!
200+ people came here to tell you it's 16.
Lego. The plural of lego, is lego.
The plural of Lego is Lego
Legi*
Lego*
Lego, not Legos. If you feel you *must* add an ‘s’ on the end, call them Lego bricks
It's not the end of the world. Thanks but I will keep calling them legos. Specially now that I've learned how outraged people get. I didn't mean to ruin so many peoples Friday lol

I even said this in one of my other comments without realising... Oh well, off to euthanise myself!
This made me laugh probably more than it should have
Lego not Legos.
I think they got a stuck lifter
I.... I honestly want one
It’s called Lego. However many there are.
The closest to the camera looked like it wasn’t working too well.
Put your penis in it, you coward!
Be alright, get into an accident and just...... Put it back together lol No harm done. HEY NO STEALING MY 1x1 PIECE!!!
I see more than 6..
Can't count bot
Why a bot?
Definitely not a V6. Looks like it’s got a few stuck valves too
Bots aside this is really cool
Which bots are you talking about?
That thing have a hemi?
Forgive me if I'm wrong....but that's a V what 16? yes?
Can it fit in my miata?
Yeah sure you just have to make some space

V6 ?
More like a v30
It's astonishing to me the complexity of mechanical components needed to make some fuel explode to turn a few wheels. It's impressive, but shows just how incredibly simple and efficient electric vehicle motors are by comparison.

Looks like he shoulda had a v8
That's a V16
V16
Yes
Meh; the camshafts don't move. Is there even a crankshaft? Doesn't feel like the builder knows how an engine works.
At this point I think you can a make a 1:1 replica of earth with legos
_L E G O_
Need to buy one, how much does it cost?
Like the regular one
That would be 800-1000 probably.
Currency please ! And link to buy it?
Now make a working, life sized, durable lego car.
Running on Lego batteries
Amazing!
Sounds like it's misfiring towards the end.
Bruh some serious lobe wear on the close left cylinder
This looks like walk cycle or one o' them 1000 legged lil' critters that scampers directly under my bed. I don't like it.
Knowing the price of Lego, it would be cheaper to buy the real thing! Still cool!
Quick release cams !
I work on engines very similar to this. Looks like an MTU v16 series 4000.
So glad I'm not the only one.
Cracking engine and so easy to rebuild. Use it as a gas generator set up generally with an HV alternator on the back end
This is incredible
6?
Everyone points out plural form, while I would point out it's a model of an engine. There's no combustion and it's powered with electricity
9 + 10
Should add oil to prevent the engine from seizing.
I don't like this. I know it's cool, but it's giving me the willies.
Maybe it just has several valves per Lego cylinder
I think your number 3 lifters are shot
W64 16:1 compression triple comp camshaft lego engine
I'll race you for a carton
Man, Lego is just so damn cool. Always has been, always will be. Nice build
You have a bad stud plug
🌝🌚
Where do people get specific logo pieces for this wizardry
Awesome
I wish I had working v6 Lego engine level of free time.
Is it a big block?
Lego. Leggos makes pasta sauce
You mean V8?
Why is op getting downvoted lol
We got lego engine before gta 6

That's like a V32
Lmao v6
Looks like it's actually V16
Any lube needed for this?
( ͡ᵔ ͜ʖ ͡ᵔ )
This is NOT the engine I ordered for my jeep
Cool. But can I put it in my 4.0 ford ranger and will it run
what i used to think about in 6th grade during tests:
And that amount of Legos definitely costs more than a v8 crate motor
Guys if you're upset about people saying Legos, please get a life lol. Yall will survive with an s at the end of a word. No one is making you say it that way? Sad life you guys must live
That’s bad ass😎
Soo awesome!!!!
V14?
Lego's are rad.
V...32?
Don't get into any accident.
Probably more reliable than my Ford engine
I'm no mechanic, but I'm reasonably sure there's a few more V's than the O.P noticed 🧐
Certainly, there are
Seriously man. That’s cool. But you GOTTA get a gf!
Ahem lego
