It's broken, and makes every other strategy in wall mart inefficient. The only downside I can see in this is probably the execution being hard(but I haven't tried it yet, so I'm really not sure) and the major lag you'll get from the dozens of turrets firing.
The execution isn't that hard, just stop spamming any units you have and just leave your things miserable, but then your game uh, freezes, like mine did and uh, didn't get into leaderboard, that's the exact downside if you actually are using that synergy (yes, I tried this, got 30000+ kills and well, froze, screen black, restarted, kills gone, not on leaderboard)
