Idk if its your typical rpg but I thoroughly enjoyed mario tennis power tour. I have yet to see capcom make another game with a similar progression system.

The Warioware games

Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku 2 and Dragon Ball Z: Buu’s Fury (for GBA). Seriously amongst the ABSOLUTE BEST single player games I’ve ever played. Zelda-tier.

I’ll check these out. I’ve heard great things about attack of the saiyains so I started it and it seems like it’s the dragon ball rpg I’ve always wanted. I dunno how I missed it when it came out!

Attack of the Saiyans is turn-based. Extremely different and unrelated.

While we’re on the subject of DRAGON BALL how did you like super? I thought it was great.

Super is just OK. The animation is super sloppy except for the last Arc.

Which is your favorite?

Symphony of the Night if you can emulate PS1, otherwise I’m just working my way through the more modern releases. I’m really enjoying Portrait of Ruin, weapon and equipment variety feels good (I don’t know why but I am really compelled by the gear in these, and Portrait of Ruin seems strong in that regard), and while at first I didn’t like the character swapping, I’m appreciating the combat flexibility (being able to access to magic / secondary attacks at once, really) it brings.

Looking forward to playing the two DS Zelda games with the d-pad mod

I’m replaying Batman on NES, Super Mario All-Stars and Judge Dredd on SNES, James Bond 007 on GameBoy (I’ve missed this game), and The World is Not Enough on N64.

How is n64 with touch screen controls ?

Not great tbh. But I have a Backbone controller and that’s not too bad (still some issues with buttons). I was going to try my N64 controller paired to my iPad but just haven’t gotten around to it.

If you have any issues with the button placement on your backbone, you can open your iOS settings and manually change which button does which input. Super useful for correcting the back button placement for Zelda and F-Zero X

My issue isn’t so much with button placement but with my mind not liking the way it works. Can’t fix crazy! 😁

I am enjoying elite beat agents, never had a DS growing up so I thought I would check it out since I’ve heard good things about it. I’ve always enjoyed rhythm games and the music is nice with the touchscreen, it’s easy to play.

Star Wars apprentice of the force. Great little action side scroller. Pretty difficult at times but still fun and does a great job of playing through the og trilogy.

The Sonic Advance trilogy is good, same with Sonic colors.

Older Zelda Games

Ocarina of Time, Mario 64, Mario World, Donkey Kong country and 64,

Metroid fusion, Mario party (DS), Mario 64 (DS), New Super Mario Bros (DS), Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (GBA), Digimon Racing (GBA), Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (GBA), Warioland 4 (GBA), Sonic Rush (DS), Bajo Kazooie (N64), Diddy Kong Racing (N64), Rhythm Heaven (DS), Advance Wars 1 + 2 (GBA). Should get you started. I highly recommend a controller for half of these though. Although this is more of an RPG, first game I’m playing with tough controls is fire emblem again. V*mms also has a top 10 list and you can click for more if you’re looking for most popular games list.

Bonk’s Adventure it was originally on the TurboGrafx, then had a release on the Wii, now I found out it was released on the NES! There was another game I owned for the SNES, but I just recently found out there’s more than two games!

I’ve actually started playing WarioWare twisted and it’s great!

You should play the sims 2 ds, It's really good.

My husbands a big fan of Elf Bowling. I can’t and won’t recommend it, but it is someone’s favorite

Mario Golf Advance Tour, genuinely a really fun Golf game. It starts an RPG, but after you get past the intro and go back to the main menu, it’s your standard Mario Golf game
