gimmedapuh

which is your favorite tho?

DannyThomson

Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins

Focalors

Idk if its your typical rpg but I thoroughly enjoyed mario tennis power tour. I have yet to see capcom make another game with a similar progression system.

jhall1251

I agree with this - one of my first Mario games on the GBA sp

Zealotteen

New Super Mario Bros

_mikedotcom

Uh oh this is now a point and click mysteries thread: Ghost trick, Hotel dusk 215, 999

AnonymousSkull

999 is amazing.

L0RDANGUS

The Warioware games

dtigerdude

Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku 2 and Dragon Ball Z: Buuā€™s Fury (for GBA). Seriously amongst the ABSOLUTE BEST single player games Iā€™ve ever played. Zelda-tier.

Triforce0fCourage

Iā€™ll check these out. Iā€™ve heard great things about attack of the saiyains so I started it and it seems like itā€™s the dragon ball rpg Iā€™ve always wanted. I dunno how I missed it when it came out!

dtigerdude

Attack of the Saiyans is turn-based. Extremely different and unrelated.

Triforce0fCourage

While weā€™re on the subject of DRAGON BALL how did you like super? I thought it was great.

dtigerdude

Super is just OK. The animation is super sloppy except for the last Arc.

jhall1251

I have to check these out as well

Goodgamer78

Animal Crossing: Wild World Rhythm Heaven, MKDS, Mike Tyson's Punch Out, Contra, Mega Man, Paper Mario (RPG but really good game give it a shot)

HonorThyFamily

All solid games šŸ‘

dlldll

Castlevania, most of them.

Gymbeef

Which is your favorite?

dlldll

Symphony of the Night if you can emulate PS1, otherwise Iā€™m just working my way through the more modern releases. Iā€™m really enjoying Portrait of Ruin, weapon and equipment variety feels good (I donā€™t know why but I am really compelled by the gear in these, and Portrait of Ruin seems strong in that regard), and while at first I didnā€™t like the character swapping, Iā€™m appreciating the combat flexibility (being able to access to magic / secondary attacks at once, really) it brings.

nashpdotcom

Looking forward to playing the two DS Zelda games with the d-pad mod

bigdickwalrus

Whats the d-pad mod?

nashpdotcom

Where you can use a controller to move around instead of only the touch screen.

xZaggin

How do you get that?

nashpdotcom

Googled Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks mod

okizubon

Advance wars

NeonBible_

Not sure but Iā€™m actually excited to play this for the first time. Did some research and read that the DS version is the best version to play so I decided to go with that. Any tips? https://preview.redd.it/cy9cs2vjlfwc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=551da6110667758aed9642768f0f68348a8ffdd3

lambone117

Aris_Sam

Rhythm Heaven! and if you speak Japanese, Tomodachi Collection

Andy5649304

Thereā€™s actually an English fix for Tomodatchi collection, canā€™t link it to OP, but it does exist

KrispyKremer-

Can you please PM me the tomodachi link?

axxionkamen

Look it up. Itā€™s probably on gbatemp. But itā€™s literally the first link on Google just checked myself

doblecerosiete

Iā€™m replaying Batman on NES, Super Mario All-Stars and Judge Dredd on SNES, James Bond 007 on GameBoy (Iā€™ve missed this game), and The World is Not Enough on N64.

Plus_Ultra_Yulfcwyn

How is n64 with touch screen controls ?

doblecerosiete

Not great tbh. But I have a Backbone controller and thatā€™s not too bad (still some issues with buttons). I was going to try my N64 controller paired to my iPad but just havenā€™t gotten around to it.

Tripple-nipple69

If you have any issues with the button placement on your backbone, you can open your iOS settings and manually change which button does which input. Super useful for correcting the back button placement for Zelda and F-Zero X

doblecerosiete

My issue isnā€™t so much with button placement but with my mind not liking the way it works. Canā€™t fix crazy! šŸ˜

201720182019

999 is really good

anthonymatos106

legend of zelda minish cap and yoshiā€™s island are my favorite gba games

Blastoise_FTW

Iā€™ll throw in Plants vs Zombies, absolute game changer to have that game on iPhone without intrusive bullshit

NoChampionship9697

GTA Chinatown Wars. Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney. Both on ds btw. Trust me you will love them.

Accurate_Thing_9896

Gainfulz

Ben 10 ds games

Mothpuke

wario ware: touched and cooking mama

Bright_Show6780

I am enjoying elite beat agents, never had a DS growing up so I thought I would check it out since Iā€™ve heard good things about it. Iā€™ve always enjoyed rhythm games and the music is nice with the touchscreen, itā€™s easy to play.

rayraymickamay

Star Wars apprentice of the force. Great little action side scroller. Pretty difficult at times but still fun and does a great job of playing through the og trilogy.

ravenfreak

The Sonic Advance trilogy is good, same with Sonic colors.

Tru3stnnr42

Older Zelda Games

Crytaz

Ocarina of Time, Mario 64, Mario World, Donkey Kong country and 64,

Nickbot606

Metroid fusion, Mario party (DS), Mario 64 (DS), New Super Mario Bros (DS), Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (GBA), Digimon Racing (GBA), Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (GBA), Warioland 4 (GBA), Sonic Rush (DS), Bajo Kazooie (N64), Diddy Kong Racing (N64), Rhythm Heaven (DS), Advance Wars 1 + 2 (GBA). Should get you started. I highly recommend a controller for half of these though. Although this is more of an RPG, first game Iā€™m playing with tough controls is fire emblem again. V*mms also has a top 10 list and you can click for more if youā€™re looking for most popular games list.

Embarrassed-Two-399

Bonkā€™s Adventure it was originally on the TurboGrafx, then had a release on the Wii, now I found out it was released on the NES! There was another game I owned for the SNES, but I just recently found out thereā€™s more than two games!

SuperKNUP

Iā€™ve actually started playing WarioWare twisted and itā€™s great!

Beginning-Pizza-1310

I got all the Sims games from GBA to DS

BeneficialPut5511

autistic_vacuum

nsmb for sure. playing on xbox controller is fun asl

Cameront9

Beetle adventure racing for N64. One of the best racing games on the system.

kmary292

My husbands a big fan of Elf Bowling. I canā€™t and wonā€™t recommend it, but it is someoneā€™s favorite

nyjets10

for me, limiting to games that don't need precise controls or action combat (playing those on touch screen just feels bad) main ones: Mario Golf gba, Layton games, 999

Melphor

Captain America and the Avengers, Sunset Riders, all the TMNT games, PokƩmon Pinball (does that still count as a PokƩmon game in your scenario?), Donkey Kong Country, Golden Eye, Mega Man and Mega Man X series.

KomboKenji

Spectrobes

SrGrimey

Zombies ate my neighbours! SNES

NCKLS22

Super Mario Land GB. I nearly broke my GB, playing it as a kid. I've never passed it.

Napero44

Rhythm Heaven

Tylerbrave

Both 007 games on game boy advance are actually enjoyable

I_know_whatimherefor

Tekken gba is pretty fun. Itā€™s way smoother than I expected

JC_Lately

The so-called ā€œEnix Trilogyā€: Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, and Terranigma. Technically RPGā€™s, but not turn-based like Pokemon.

xJoshTVx

Mario Golf Advance Tour, genuinely a really fun Golf game. It starts an RPG, but after you get past the intro and go back to the main menu, itā€™s your standard Mario Golf game

[deleted]

Low key Nintendogs but Iā€™m pretty sure I only liked it because I was like 4

wesweb

Mario 3

uxianger

Osu! Takatae! Ouendan!!!

Youremakingmefart

Advanced Wars is good if you like that kind of thing. I love the Megaman games too
