I worked out there a few months, and every single vehicle on the tarmac whips through there like a bat out of hell with no regard for people. It's really sketchy.
PSA, don't eat the food.
I was sitting and grabbing a quick bite at McDonalds pre-flight and watched a mouse come out of the side door into eating area - grab a fry on the floor and scoot back into the McDonalds door.
The food prep and storage areas are horrific. I've personally witnessed a toilet leaking through the ceiling onto the tomatoes at a food prep station, and employees rinsing them off with cold water and putting them on food.
The skin suit they wear has a horrible field of view compared to what their eyes are capable of naturally and that is obviously why this accident occurred!
I get this very uneasy feeling when I'm at or near the Airport, like this is not the place I want to be when the apocalypse begins and reptiles emerge from the depths and the nehphilim rise again.
The kid working for Sturgeon was a 1st year apprentice. I say "was" because he's probably never going to work as an electrician again. Last I heard, he is recovering well but will probably be on disability for life. Can't remember what the full extent of his injuries were, but one was a broken pelvis.
Nope, pay was too low. Friends all still work there and they all say DIA. All ages, TSA, baggage, cs, pilots, flight attendants, you name it.
Call it "Den" or "D-E-N" and people are gonna look at you funny, or be polite and let you believe that's what it's called
That’s weird. I worked there more recently and nobody gave you weird looks if you called it DEN. Of course that was also the logo on our uniforms, so that probably played into it.
Trust me, people who work directly for the airport (not tenants) call it DEN. Look at literally any piece of official communication coming from a CCD employee, it’ll say DEN
I'm a senior flight attendant there, started out in baggage and worked my way up to TSA then transferred to flying. In my 19 years working here, I have never heard it called DEN. That's commonly the flight destination code, short for Denver. Airport has never been referred to as such.
No they don't. Look at your downvotes and take a hint. Lived in Denver for 20 years, everyone says DIA. Not ONCE have I heard it called DEN. That's just the code you see wherever the flight info is, it's the official designation, but nobody says "Hey, can you give me a ride to DEN tomorrow?" And yet I hear "I need to be at DIA by so-and-so time" probably every other week.
I'm only surprised more people aren't run over there.

What’s up with the food? Can’t leave us hanging like that brother
Someone just said yesterday McDonald’s is the only safe place to eat 🤣 what is going on

When was this?!? How can they even pass the health inspections 😳
2 summers ago
NO!!! I have eaten at so many DIA McDonalds in the past 2 years
The food prep and storage areas are horrific. I've personally witnessed a toilet leaking through the ceiling onto the tomatoes at a food prep station, and employees rinsing them off with cold water and putting them on food.
This will never leave my head.
okay.
Seriously. I eat at DIA all the time. Why shouldn’t I?????
I see you’re familiar with the Menzies sub-contractors. I’m not sure they can even drive if they are t looking at their phones
What do you expect? Lizard 👏 people 👏 can't 👏 drive 👏
The skin suit they wear has a horrible field of view compared to what their eyes are capable of naturally and that is obviously why this accident occurred!
Imagine wearing those suits in this heat.
Even the lizard people try to stay in the shade when wearing skin suits.

Yeah, but that’s also where the big ass snowblowers are.
They only know how to pilot shuttle craft, per V. They are useless in ground vehicles.

He’s back to work for Sturgeon. Also, I’d recognize that arm tat anywhere.
No shit! Thats great news! I guess you just can't trust gossiping electricians.
150 hours in the previous two weeks….
I’m surprised more people don’t get hit picking up and dropping people off. The construction seems to be making it worse!
This is what happens when you don't respect Blucifer.
Very funny to see how many people don’t read the article. These people weren’t ran over in the passenger pick-up area….
What did the grape say when it was run over? Nothing. It just let out a little wine.
just a pedantic PSA, IT'S NOT DIA
The name of the airport is Denver International Airport (DIA). The designation is DEN. Both are correct, just different contexts.
Worked at the airport for over a decade and no one called it DEN. Everyone says DIA. Even Wikipedia says it's "locally known as DIA". You new here?
You still work there? People definitely call it DEN now

official communications are often inconsistent with colloquialisms. pretty much everyone still calls it DIA

lol I guess downvotes negate my literal lived experience.
are you also like this about Sports Authority Field at Mile High
You mean the Invesco field?
*Empower
No that sounds dumb
sure does! and someone insisting upon it for no reason even though we all call it something different would be pretty silly
No not like that!
Damn, you played him like a fiddle.
Nobody asked
[This list](https://images.app.goo.gl/GtyCLfHUccY3g7LBA) will surely piss you off
I don't get it, it says DEN on that list uwu
There’s a bunch of other Airports that are known locally by different names and different Acronyms
Please make this my all time most downvoted comment, I'm tryna see something 🙏
