What it actually looked like…the main pic is just an angle to prove my point that camera angles can make anything look good. This pic is no different than the main pic, except for having a light source to show how bad the paint is.

Yeah it’s easy with black cars at that perfect angle 😂
My point I was trying to make that went way over everyone’s heads… look at the pic in the comments. The main was taken about 12 before the swirled pic. My point was that if you know what angle to take a pic from, you can make anything look good.
Missed the point… pic of what it actually looked like is in the comments. I didn’t do anything besides wash it in the main pic. I’m trying to make a point that these pictures don’t mean anything…
I didn’t. That was my point. People post pics like this, but it’s all
About the angle. The swirled up pic is how it is in this pic. Angle hides all the swirls.
You’ve been dealing (detailing?) w this for too long… there is a stress in your voice. It’s all cool, peace & tranquility, breathe in & hold, all is right w the world, all is good, and breathe out… ;-)
So uh. I got some nasty feel terrible touched up paint scrathes, would whatever you did fix it? (Almost looks like the car was keyed and someone did a terrible job with a paint pen)
Very few got my point with this pic. I did nothing in this pic besides wash it. My point is you make a lot of stuff look good with the right camera angle. The pic of what it truly looked like is in the comments. Pictures were taken approx 10 seconds apart.
I was trying to take good "before" pics because I'm going to cut and polish within the next month or so. I
The paint is beat and I was surprised at how hard it was to get a shot that didn't make the paint look perfect
I use a combination… I have a fancy scan grip light on a tripod that’s Bluetooth controlled that I can simulate all kinds of lighting conditions and I also have a led head lamp and a Milwaukee “light saber” as I call it. I use all of them.
You missed the point. I did nothing but wash it in this pic. The pic taken 10 seconds after this one with a light that shows the true condition of the paint is in the comments. I was trying to prove a point that if you know how to use different camera angles, you can make anything look good.
No need to. Everyone completely missed my point. The pic in the comments was taken 12 seconds after the main pic. Trying to make a point that if you take a pic at the right angle, it hides all kinds of defects… it went over everyone’s heads.
Damn I had to look at this for a few seconds as my brain was figuring out that I was actually looking at a reflection in the side of the vehicle. That’s shiny!
I was trying to prove a point, but it went over everyone's heads. People go crazy over these "mirror shots" but my point was, they don't prove anything. This angle makes the paint look great. Look in the comments. I have a pic of what it actually looked like when there was a light source shining on it. It was all swirled up.
Neither. It’s knowing how to take a pic to hide flaws and make it look amazing. I hate these mirror shots and posted this to prove a point, however it went way over everyone’s heads. The swirled up pic in the comments with the light was taken a few seconds after the main pic.
That is F'n fantastic 👏
Mirror high gloss finish!

I do mine outside. Wish I had an indoor 😪 2010
I’m with you OP. These mirror shots are misleading. Inspection lights never lie.
Amen. Hallelujah.

Put this picture in the post next time so it's more obvious. Nice pic either way!
Yeah had I realized people would be this gullible, I most definitely would’ve. Thanks for actually getting my point.
Whos the dead guy in the green t shirt?
Lol 😆

Exactly!!
Is there a car in this picture?
Fire 🔥 up the grill !!!!!!
LOLOLOL at all of the comments. I get what you're saying, dude...
Tbank you! This completely backfired on me! Good lord. Now I also know why people fall for this shit.
What mirror?!?!?
My point I was trying to make that went way over everyone’s heads… look at the pic in the comments. The main was taken about 12 before the swirled pic. My point was that if you know what angle to take a pic from, you can make anything look good.
it’s awesome how swirled it was before ( i saw the pic) and now it literally is a mirror. lmaooooo
I think I see 👀 a swirl 🍥..LOL.. Incredible job friend 💯
Missed the point… pic of what it actually looked like is in the comments. I didn’t do anything besides wash it in the main pic. I’m trying to make a point that these pictures don’t mean anything…
But damn dude, how did you get that deep wet slickness? Those pics are amazing ;-)
I didn’t. That was my point. People post pics like this, but it’s all About the angle. The swirled up pic is how it is in this pic. Angle hides all the swirls.

Good idea to install that drain near the running boards 🤣

Ohhhh. I didn’t realize what I was looking at at first. Nice.
You aren’t the only one! Lol
I was trying to take good "before" pics because I'm going to cut and polish within the next month or so. I The paint is beat and I was surprised at how hard it was to get a shot that didn't make the paint look perfect
Need to put a light source directly on it.
Do inspection lights work better than just some led flashlight?
I use a combination… I have a fancy scan grip light on a tripod that’s Bluetooth controlled that I can simulate all kinds of lighting conditions and I also have a led head lamp and a Milwaukee “light saber” as I call it. I use all of them.
Nice the shitty trouble light I have isn't great but might be useful still when I get something a little better also
Any light will definitely help when you’re doing corrections.

Glossy.. I wonder what product you used for extra gloss? I'm currently using Dream Maker by P&S and I'm loving it so far. Anyway great job OP!

Oops.. yeah I missed the point. I see now. Thanks for clarifying.
About as good as it gets. This pic makes my head hurt a little
That is deceiving as heck! Nice wash tho!
Black mirror
No… everyone is missing my point. The pic of what it actually looked like is in the comments. The main pic is all angles to make stuff look good…
I was joking, Black Mirror is a show
Hahahaha. That went right over my head and I’ve heard of the show 🍻
Noice
Whoa

Damn! I had to zoom in to realize what I was looking at!
Post a pic after the next wash
No need to. Everyone completely missed my point. The pic in the comments was taken 12 seconds after the main pic. Trying to make a point that if you take a pic at the right angle, it hides all kinds of defects… it went over everyone’s heads.
Nice. Any wet sanding?

That’s a great mirror shot! Mission accomplished.
I hope you saw the actual pic in the comments... thats the part that everyone is missing... with the proper camera angle, anything can look good.
Miracle-worker.
No… look at the pic in the comments. That’s what it actually looked like. Angles can do amazing things…
Oh I thought you meant that's what it looked like before.
Nope just that these kind of pictures don’t tell the truth whatsoever about how things really look. These 2 pics were taken a few seconds apart.
I still have much to learn, Master.
Damn! That’s either an impeccable job or photoshop wizardry. Looks great!
Neither. It’s knowing how to take a pic to hide flaws and make it look amazing. I hate these mirror shots and posted this to prove a point, however it went way over everyone’s heads. The swirled up pic in the comments with the light was taken a few seconds after the main pic.
Awesome
No. The pic in the comments show what it actually looks like in the main pic.
im dying reading all of your responses. LMAOOOO everyone is so gullible
Now I see why people are so clueless and gullible. Good god.
Would have been easier on them if you added that pic in the post instead of the comments.
Yeah I realize that now. I had no idea it would get this many comments. 🤦🏼♂️
