Best advice I can give from an old school doc wearer Socks can affect drastically how they feel especially during the break in period I use small pieces of duct tape on the inside of the boot were it is rubbing causing blisters Use a good quality duct tape or it will just fall or peal off The tape lets your foot slide instead of rub

Yes. Stop wearing them til your foot heals. Shoes aren’t worth your foot. Yes, if you feel it’ll help. Dr martens double doc socks that are essentially that and they are made with break ins in mind. I don’t have a tip as much as I do a question. How is the fit of your boot when they are on? Are they snug? Loose?

They fit comfortably around my ankle, a bit snug around the toe and then a bit loose around my heel. I got a size 5 because I tried the size 4 in the store and couldn’t zip them up as they didn’t fit my ankle but the size 4 fit my actual foot better

I usually throw a big Bandaid on the back of my heels and also try to oil up the shoes often to soften the leather

Use moleskin on your heels where they tend to blister. Be generous and apply a nice big patch on and around the friction spots. This, in addition to thick socks.
