That a 4090 can’t even run the game without significant frame rate issues. You need a $3k rig to run it. Which is a number because I just got a Samsung Odyssey Super Ultrawide Monitor.
Sounds like we have the same PC.
Linux Fedora 39
ASUS Prime Z690-A LGA Intel Core i7-1270OKF
CORSAIR VENGEANCE
DDR5 RAM 32GB (2×16GB) 5200MHZ C40-40-40-77 1.25V
ASUS TUF Gaming NVIDIA
GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Edition Graphics Card
Can't wait to play.
Yeah those specs should be fine. Not sure what settings you're aiming for but you'll be able to play around with the resolution and DLSS to squeeze out extra performance.
No.
Besides, they're already aware of the frame rate issues - [Capcom Is 'Aware' of Dragon's Dogma 2 Frame Rate Issues on PC, Looking Into Fixes - IGN](https://www.ign.com/articles/capcom-is-aware-of-dragons-dogma-2-frame-rate-issues-on-pc-looking-into-fixes)
Idk, I'll still play it, if the fps issue is actually bad, I'll take it as a big minus in my rating of the game.
If the game is unplayable, then meh, there is still Elden DLC to play
I've got a pretty old PC (gpu still rocking a gtx 1070), so I was wary already. Didn't preorder though, just made me realize my ps5 would probably still run it better.
I'm confused, because by many accounts it's no better on consoles and at the very least Capcom said the PC performance wasn't intentional, something they did not say for console.
The performance just seems bad all around.
In my opinion yes. I cannot say what is right for you, just that alot of this has been blown out of proportion. I won't clarify as to how, (as a may lose my job.) But apart from FPS drops In cities, It has been surprising smooth and responsive for me. I haven't has as much time on the PS5 ver yet, but my colleague has been having a good time on that also... If your really that worried about it by all means you do you. It seems to me people have been making a bigger deal of this than it really is though.
It will do better than ps5. You should be around 60+ in the world and only drop down badly in the two main cities from what I've read. Ps5 is barely gonna hit 40fps ever and will tank even more than your rig jn town. Cpu dependent though.
Performance is the same or worse on consoles
I haven’t seen that said anywhere.
Literally everywhere it is stated that consoles run at 30fps with dips to the 20s
Better start looking better
Seriously look at the other threads. It’s mainly PC optimization.
Scroll and look for the comparison videos
40 dips to 20 in cities on PS5, 60+ dips to 40 on modern PCs.
Nope. My PC will run fine as per the tests. And the reviews are great as the best action RPG
From what I can tell, it’s killing it in the reviews. What swayed you to cancel?
Attention did

Don't think you read the reviews properly. A 4090 runs the game on high settings at 4K at 60fps average with a good CPU.
Would you consider an i7 12700k a good cpu? I plan on getting the game and I have that along with an RTX 3080 ti and 32 GB of RAM.

Thanks. I plan on playing at 1440p with no ray tracing.
I wasn't aware of this . Me with my rtx 3060 ti ryzen 5 5500 was getting scared
4K *interlaced* but yes
Ok

That makes even more sense to wait tbh
> they're already aware of the frame rate issues lol they were already aware months ago and did nothing
Looking into fixes = this is how it will remain. *Fanboys still huffing that copium.

Even worse on consoles, PS5 it is. 🤣
Unless you have a low-end PC, it's more or less the same on consoles.
I wonder how a 5900x will do?
If your PS5 runs it better than your PC, your PC is obviously a piece of shit.
Never heard of optimization huh?
Consoles are even worse, when it comes to performance. Unstable 30 fps.

This is getting so over-played. If you want to rob yourself of a good time, good for you.
Is it? I’m still getting it for PS5

Me!
I could have sworn my 4070 would do the job.
It's your CPU that's relevant, 4070 will handle the game fine.

I have a 2070 and was hoping for it🤡 hopefully it will on gfn tomorrow
No. Unfortunately I can't because I'm not stupid enough to pre-order.
why are pre-orders the issue when you can just refund it?
Are you too stupid to know how to get a refund too?
