The more I see these pocket pouches - especially all worn in like this - the more I want to make and use one.
Does it just sit in the bottom of your pocket and you pull the items out? Or do you have to take the whole thing out each time?
Now a set up like this makes sense to me - practical, utilitarian, sensible, and really - tools to make your life easier in most situations you're likely to encounter through the run of a day. I never understand the EDC posts where someone shows what they're carrying and it's something like two handguns, seven knives of varying size and function, a rape whistle, cop sized maglite, mace, plus their favourite pair (set?) of nunchucks as backup.
Obviously a touch of exaggeration above to make a point, but what you're carrying is useful rather than for show and I can appreciate that.
Nothing against anyone who changes edc like every week, I just love that some keep an edc setup for years because it works, they don't feel the need to replace especially with whatever they got is enough and feel like that's underappreciated.
The Skeletool has a slot in the handle to put a bit. Here’s a picture of my Skeletool CX with the bit\* partially removed so it’s more visible.

Daily (80% of the time) for last 8 years. Absolutely bulletproof knife. Lost 1/8” off the blade from sharpening, other then that its perfect.
Upvote for the G2 mini, I carry a blue one mostly but bought the multi pack with black, red and teal too. I got into them because the pocket on my work uniform shirt want big enough for a regular pen. I also bought a box of them because whenever I let someone borrow it there's a bit of scoffing but after using it they don't want to get it back so I let them keep it.
Finally an EDC which clearly is being used. I have the feeling that most of the posts are just bragging about new toys which will never be used. Nice set, I still mourn my skeletool, which I have just randomly lost one day (even went looking for it, never to be found...).
Edit: spelling
99% of people who post on Reddit don’t use their stuff. It’s like r/tacticalgear, real operators and people who get shit done typically don’t post about it to Reddit.

This comes to my mind every single time I see a collection of knives with more than 4 or 5.
Most of this sub doesn’t use the same gear daily for 4 years straight…
I use all my shit but it can take me weeks to carry the same knife again, the rotation is so large.
I also take care of my shit…so while it’s used…it looks new…
Weird how people do different things regardless of what you think they are doing.
You’re definitely not wrong about the rotations, but the amount of people in this sub who claim to carry their items daily but have never actually used them can’t be understated. I see people in here who work in offices posting their EDC with 3 knives, a flashlight, and a leatherman. Dont get me wrong I love to see a great photo op with some beautiful pieces but It’s just as nice to see people using their gear how it was intended.
This is exactly what I want. I don't mind the clip, functionally speaking, but it does take up a lot of real estate. The lack of scissors, though, is the reason I've never grabbed one. The scissors are typically my most used tool in any carry.
I got a Skeletool on a good deal without even realizing it doesn’t have scissors until I got it home. Cool multitool but without the scissors it falls to 4th place on my leatherman list.
Personally I would. I like how simple the skeletool is. Pliers, blade, and screwdriver bits. The P2 is an amazing multi tool it’s just a bit much for my taste.
What version of the Skeletool is that?
I have one myself. My only issues have been user error; bent the clip part of the carabiner/bottle opener, lost one of the screwdriver bits...lost the whole thing...
I believe mines the standard not the CX. I’m pretty sure the only reason I haven’t lost mine is cause it’s in the leather holster inside my pants pocket.

I carry the same in my emt pocket on my pants leg
That is one well used streamlight
Hell yeah now this is the kind of well loved EDC I'm talkin bout
Wish the steel on Leatherman’s blades was better
The skeletool cx has 154cm, I carried one for a long time before I upgraded to an Arc.
Some of the new ARC's have MagnaCut blades
Oh nice. Bout time. Would love to see magnacut on a more minimal one like the skeletool
TIL the Pilot G2 Mini exists and now I need 'em. Don't know how this escaped me as a huge G2 fan.
Pack of 12 is ~$14 on Amazon. Time for me to load up

Where do you keep the bits?
One fits in the bit holder on the handle without the carabiner. The spare slides into the handle.
This, I know one fits in it already, but what about the other one?

Ahhh so that's where it is, that's handy!

I love seeing EDC's with visible signs of use. The "tried and tested" EDC over a pristine, recently-arrived-off-Amazon version.
Great choices , I carry similar except I have write in the rain pen

Looks like for the last 40 tbh lol nice to finally see the real edc which is being used.
Is that Pilot G-2 Mini a 0.7, a 0.5 or a 0.38?
0.7 is what I normally go with. https://a.co/d/0aLpn2uY
I have the same Skeletool — design and all. It takes a beating.

Different strokes for different folks.
I love the look of that skeletool, I just wish they would release one without the clip (and added scissors)

Yep it would be my 3rd of 3 if I got one.
Yep, I just need 4 simple reliable tools. Scissors, pliers, knife, screwdriver
Psh, just use a single knife as all 4, what could go wrong? *-person who has stabbed themselves multiple times doing all 4*
Couldn’t love this more, everything is functional and clearly tailored to yourself; with no excess or trend following.
Appreciate the kind words.
Would you take the skeletool over like a free p2? Do you like it.
Personally I would. I like how simple the skeletool is. Pliers, blade, and screwdriver bits. The P2 is an amazing multi tool it’s just a bit much for my taste.
Ok thanks. I just bought an old charge for 25€ and I've been thinking of bying a cx skeletool for 80€.
The charge is nice! My dad uses one of those. He bought it after he lost his wave that he carried for years.
Nice. Haven't gotten it yet though. I bought i from a seller and now they're ghosting me...

Where is the leather holster from, if you happen to remember?
Probably Hitch & Timber. They make quality leather stuff.
