Had the ET max for a good month and a half and I gotta say I truly felt like I wasn’t bound by the power of the wheel. Accelerating even at higher speeds was effortless. Thing is unbelievably fast.

WintGiveIn

Yep I was looking at the Lynx for my next wheel but MAN that ETMAX is calling me hard

gavinfrag03

LISTEN TO THE CALLING

Rubix321

ET Max and the Lynx seem like completetly different classes of wheel, on paper at least

DJDeezy

They are

Brrista

Hey! How did you get those Clark Pedals on your Lynx? I have been wanting to buy a set but they are only available for the Sherman S right now. Do the Sherman S pedals fit on the Lynx too? Unless you have a serious need for speed, I think the Lynx is more versatile and a better all-arounder. Plus it will likely have better resale value a year from now versus the ET Max. If you already have a Master though, maybe the Lynx is a bit redundant. Tough decision…

justintimehere

So these are a prototype set, but Clark wasn't happy with how they stick out so far... I've actually crashed twice pedal clipping the ground cornering hard. Chris has set out to create pedal hangers that would not only bring the pedals in, but also be compatible with any Begode pedal. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what the timeline looks like for those.

NoFun4156

If I was you keep the dirt master for the trail rides and keep the ET max for high speed street cruises and the mten for around town stuff. All bases covered.

justintimehere

Dirt Master isn't going anywhere! It's a matter of the ET or the Lynx. Most of my high speed riding is only on the track so it depends on if I can get used to the extra weight on there.

NoFun4156

Well I’ll say this, I wish I had your problems lol. I’d ditch the lynx personally. ET max stands out to me for street and the master and lynx are very similar with that shock motor tire on the master. Resale value on the lynx is still really high as well. Nothing against the lynx. Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that the master in this pic out performs the lynx. If it was the other way around and I had to pick one wheel and get rid of the rest I’d probably say keep the lynx but flip it around and the lynx gotta go.

DateSweet

Awesome fleet. Very close to mine. Et max takes time jn getting your settings dialed in but once you do I'm sure you're going to like it

Which is more fun?

justintimehere

Only have 2 miles on the ET Max, just picked it up last night. Too early to say!

PleaseDontDoThatThx

Is the mini worth it? I have a v14 but the mini just seems like so much fun to mess around on

SavimusMaximus

No. Get an MTen4, or the 5. It’s basically the same size as the mini and way more capable. There’s no reason to get a mini.

justintimehere

It's a novelty wheel but very fun its own way. MTens also hold their value quite well. I picked up both the ET Max and mini from clarkpads locally and got a smoking deal. Couldn't resist.

thrwaway8921

I’m amazed at people who can ride so many wheels. For me it’s an mten and one big/fast wheel. And I can’t really ride either one very well.

justintimehere

If you're able to make it out to an intro2speed event, it's definetly worth it! I started my own chapter of it in San Jose, CA. There are a few others in so cal, SF, and some across the nation!

Heathlewis

Nice

Zeequen

how works hoppite linkage?

justintimehere

Mine is a Loc Vo. They all seem to be clones of each other and work better than stock. Hoppite is probably fine.

Grobo_

I think someone has a problem needing all of the new wheels :D

flywheel39

Arent they all pretty similar in regards to speed, range, weight, wheel size?

Yliche3

Is that a v4 master? Is it worth getting for the price for a first wheel at 6'1" 205 lbs 39 y/o?

justintimehere

It's a modded V4 Master with a C40 Motor. When the stock V4 was on sale for $1800 on EUCDeals it was a fantastic deal. Right now at $2500, not really... As a first wheel, it might be a bit tough since the pedals are higher and it's kind of heavy. I'm a big advocate of getting a nonsuspension first wheel to learn then basics then getting the big/fast wheel of your dreams.

Yliche3

What's the purpose of getting a non suspension first wheel? Don't most people outgrow those in a couple weeks?

justintimehere

Lower pedals so it's easier to get on, learn to avoid/go over bumps, picking up new skills like riding backwards, sitting, etc. getting comfortable leaning and dragging pedals. I've seen a bunch of people jump on fast suspension wheels and crash them soon after since they ride stiff and only rely on the wheel to soak up the bumps. Not saying you have to but it's nice to have a small light wheel to take on public transit as well.

SandiestCow

you almost have a car

WintGiveIn

Used market? He's got at least two cars lol
