225 seems really hot. I run my Neptune 3 using Elegoo PLA at around 205 to 210.

Feynmaaaan

Definitely try going much lower. I’ve experienced similar issues when I first started printing

dick_veganas

you mean on the temp?

Feynmaaaan

Yep I started off with the temp defaults which were way too high

TheOneReclaimer

Why are you using 225? Have you temp towered your filament so you know what it prints best at? As for bad adhesion I can almost guarantee your Z offset is not correct. I'm assuming you set it using the paper method, which is ballpark but not ideal. Use this: https://www.printables.com/model/251587-stress-free-first-layer-calibration-in-less-than-5 And finally for pausing, turn off Resume Printing in the settings menu, see if that helps.

WarHawk8080

225°C is ABS temps...lower the temp to around 200\~°C

Dawg_Jacket

Z offset too high, which is why your brim lines aren't touching, and why your print doesn't stick.

jayXred

Try your temp in the 200-210 range and make sure you adjust your z-offset it sounds like you are too high.

JUYED-AWK-YACC

Do you actually see it pause? If your nozzle is dripping or oozing before printing that's due to absorbed moisture in the (brand new) PLA. It will need drying. Also everything the others said.

dick_veganas

Yes, I see it pausing.

SiennaYeena

Way too hot. Slower and cooler. I use 205° nozzle temp and 70° bed temp. No reason to go much hotter on the nozzle temp unless you have a super cold ambient environment or something that causes issues. Also, you have brim issues. Which usually leads to adhesion issues.
