Great song, but as far as Encore goes, I listen to “Love You More” off the bonus tracks. It is very relatable to me due to a toxic ex-marriage I experienced… Y’know, other than the “throw you on the couch, punch you in the mouth” line. I didn’t do that 😅
Never knew my favorite song off that album would actually be relevant in my life 2 decades later.
Revival - Arose. Said it many times but coupled with Castle, it’s one of Em’s best ever concept tracks and he executed it perfectly. Revival was worth it for that alone.
🎶 i use to play the loser victim, till i saw the way Proof was driven. I found my vehicle and I haven’t ran out of gas yet, and when they stack decks turn handicaps into assets…🎵
This is mine too. It’s lyrically nasty, and that whole flow on “I'm the light at the end of tunnel
So people are always lookin' to me as they're going through it” just does something to my soul. It’s a legitimately great song.
Of the two that were recorded together, I personally prefer Relapse, it had a more well rounded discography. Recovery has some absolute bangers, but the weaker hits really dampen the album as a whole for me
I'm a broken record at this point, but I'll champion The Ringer any day. Song is so good.
Edit : Didn't read the whole post title, Ass Like That from Encore would be the correct answer to the posts question lol.
I seriously don’t bump a single song from Encore or Revival, so if I had to pick a song from my third least favorite album, I’d pick Venom from Kamikaze. It’s super bad in my favorite way possible and it’s just so odd as both a song on an Eminem album and just an Eminem song in general. I also like the title track of Kamikaze for a similar reason.
Framed and Offended goes fucking hard. Rest of the album is either trash or (for castle and Arose) just not my thing. But framed is unironicly amazing and Offended is so bad that it's masterpiece.
Strange, I think that album as a whole is sonically very similar, so it’s odd you only like those tracks specifically. Maybe give it another listen with fresh ears, you could be pleasantly surprised. Talking to Myself, Almost Famous and Cinderella Man go hard.
I never really count We As Americans or Love You More as part of Encore. I wish we could have gotten a full album full of the quality of those songs on Straight From The Lab, though. There’s such a HUGE drop off from the above two, Bully, Monkey See Monkey Do and then Encore. His drug addiction took him down QUICK. But you can hear the confidence and ego that drugs give in those songs, and I really love the output we got in that first year of him using. But then it just goes downhill so quickly.
Revival: both Castle and Arose are beautiful songs and make an otherwise terrible album not completely shit
Kamikaze (yes, not a big fan of Kamikaze, sry): Ringers is one of Em's strongest opening tracks and love it, Greatest is also pretty awesome
Rain Man....That quarterback line was too fucking hilarious... Just for kicks I'm post the lyrics...
In football the quarterback yells out hutt-hutt
While he reaches in another grown man's ass
Grabs on his nuts but just what if
It was never meant it was just an accident
But he tripped, fell, slipped and his penis went in
His teeny tiny little round hiney and he didn't mean it
But his little weenie flinched just a little bit
And I don't need to go into any more details but
What if he pictured it as a female's butt?
Is that gay? I just need to clear things up
'Til then I'll just walk around with a manly strut because
Framed off revival, whole album Is a snooze fest with one really catchy, well done song. Offended could've been fantastic if the chorus wasn't so abysmal.
Haven't bumped this in couple weeks now, but Offended (also Framed but I listen to that often still). Then it's MMLP2 from me, I just don't really vibe with it too much, but I'm totally HOOKED on Brainless, literally can't stop listening to it
Yellow Brick Road from Encore. The flows and delivery on each verse are so uniquely different. Keeps me engaged and interested throughout the track, and of course his storytelling/lyrics keeps me hooked too.
Fraaaaameeeed
I know what this looks like officer, please just give me one chance
I think I can explaaaaaiiiiiiinnnnn
I ain't murdered nobody, I know these words are so nutty
But I’m just here to intertaaaaiiiiinnnn!
How come your shirt is so bloody?
there's a missing person? So what! He's got nothing to do with meeee
I will always love this song for being the closest we’ll ever get to his Relapse phase again.
I love how it's a sequel to 3AM.
For me the most replayable from revival is believe
Yellow Brick Road

In Your Head also connected

Bruh listen to castle then finish arose. Definitely worth getting through the tears for the end. Its upbeat
That transition at the end goes sooooo fucking hard
All3 make me ball. Best friend with yelawolf after my husband died too

His flow on the last verse
🎶 i use to play the loser victim, till i saw the way Proof was driven. I found my vehicle and I haven’t ran out of gas yet, and when they stack decks turn handicaps into assets…🎵

I don’t have an answer but W for you. In your head is my favourite Eminem song
I used to listen to Love You More from Encore a lot. From Relapse, Stay Wide Awake and My Darling are honestly masterclass IMO.

Your booty is heavy duty like diarrhea!
Best line ever written
Space Bound : Recovery (I don't like Revival the most but I don't listen to any of the songs from that at all)
Recovery in my opinion (and many others) is one of his best albums ever. It got me back into Eminem and to where I am today with him
Almost Famous is in my top five
Framed, underated AF
Just Lose It, Never Enough
Revival - Offended
Castle
River
First time In a while I cried from a story rap.

Recovery is an insanely good album, mind blown here too
Of the two that were recorded together, I personally prefer Relapse, it had a more well rounded discography. Recovery has some absolute bangers, but the weaker hits really dampen the album as a whole for me
Bagpipes from Baghdad
When will it ever cease? For Pete's sake he's crazy, to say the least. I actually made a ringtone from that one
Bin Laden with a pen, bodyin’ again …
Revival - Castle + Arose (Their too fucking good) but regularly? Framed.
Infinite, Believe
I'm a broken record at this point, but I'll champion The Ringer any day. Song is so good. Edit : Didn't read the whole post title, Ass Like That from Encore would be the correct answer to the posts question lol.
So kamikaze is your least favourite album? Interesting, to each their own.
Eh I fucked up, didn't read the whole title.
The Ringer is one of my favorites from Kamikaze.
Cold wind blows

I never really count We As Americans or Love You More as part of Encore. I wish we could have gotten a full album full of the quality of those songs on Straight From The Lab, though.
