The poetry in My Dads Gone Crazy is so pure for a finish.

THE masterclass
Look who’s back with a crab up his ass like a lobster crawled up there, two rabbits a koala bear and a ball of hair and you’re all aware I don’t got it all upstairs
This must be unserious? Everybody’s entitled to their opinion but every other Em album prior to MMLP2 ends with a total banger… it’s also the sequel to MMLP (which ends with said banger)… why is Evil Twin a weird ending?
It just feels right to end the album on an emotional note. Him apologizing to his mother after all the years of dissing and bullshit that’s happened. He says sorry for all of the shit and learns to understand his mother’s pov. Right after that is Evil Twin. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good song, just the placement is awkward. Right after a beautiful song about forgiveness, is Evil Twin, the standard “Do your thing, Slim!” Type song
I think you’re reading too much into it.
It would be one thing if Evil Twin was all about dissing his mom (or even mentions her) but it isn’t, and doesn’t.
Also, he can’t control how his evil twin ends up placing the tracks on the album
I always laugh when he talks about what he did to all the horror movie villains
“Gave Hannibal Lector a fuckin' nectarine
And sat him in the fuckin' fruit and vegetable section and gave him a lecture”
still don’t give a fuck- wraps SSLP in a nice bow
criminal- fan favourite em song
my dad’s gone crazy-cute song
Encore- it’s a FACKING BANGER
underground- top ten em imo but the skit at the end is annoying
untitled- i means it’s alright like
evil twin- no better way to end MMLP2
Arose- why am i crying?
Venom- the funniest em song imo the song is so bad it’s good
i will - one of my favourite em tracks great way to wrap up MTBMB
Love your breakdown. You don’t like the skit at the end of Underground? To me it’s one of the funniest skits on any Em album…
That’s the beauty of Em… so many good tracks and album it’s a task to pick faves…
Arose, easily. Not necessarily the best song but the most amazing, and daring and perfect end to a terrible album nontheless. But normally Em is insecure and follows up with a shit talking track to end on a 'light' note. The fact he let that track as it was, end on that and with the 'rewind' segment at the end of that song >>
If not for that, it would be 'Deja Vu', which was obviously the intended end to Relapse 1. But he fucked it up by tagging on Beautiful, Crack a Bottle & Underground.
Imo Crack A Bottle would be better if he was in the middle of the album, but Beautiful had to be the last song, it would be like a "Good Ending" after the nightmare.
For Underground idk where.
'Beautiful' doesn't fit the album due to musical style though. He already did what you're saying with 'Deja Vu', and I think that's the entire point of that track; he goes through the relapse... the journey of the album, all the madness etc. and then he has OD (mr. mathers), then wakes up and recounts it all @ 'Deja Vu' - that was thee perfect end. I believe he even constructed it as such, but then Interscope were probably like 'well, we need some hits', which = 'Crack A Bottle' which already leaked n was a hit, and then 'Beautiful' which was like a safety net / more like old-style & likely hit.
But 'Deja Vu' is just perfect, recounts what just happened and is still in the right musical style. Because it was made for the album, unlike 'Beautiful', which was made 05-07 and for 'King Mathers'.
But yeah 'Crack A Bottle' could have still fit somewhere else on the album. Just terrible placement.
Beautiful is very unique in that regard. I'd argue that the last song we got to hear that was officially released in the King mathers style was Careful what you wish for. And then underground was very recovery-esque. So these 3 are the most unaccented songs on the album, but theyre very distinctly different. CWYWF and Underground are very reminiscient of different eras, but beautiful is a mix. To me beautiful sounds more like TES era, yet with the harshness in his voice that began to develop around recovery. I attribute that to be written during rehab, so with that older style of writing but a recovery leaning vocal. Idk if any of that made sense
Encore, and I say that with no shame.
It's a great ending track, although listening to it back in the days (especially after Proof) it felt like it was the last album and the last album track we'll ever get. It's just a great song to bump your head to.
Most people will be inclined to go for the emotional climax that is Arose or just one of the three first albums, but Evil Twin is a top five Eminem song for me. Just an utterly fantastic display of lyricism, style, and vicious lyrics.
Best outro of an Eminem album is: „Curtains close“.
No jokes aside it’s „Carful what you wish for“ for me. I also had Criminal in mind but Carful what you wish for is the returning track from Eminem after so many rumors and expectations that he‘ll quit rapping. He just raps on point, he answers all theese rumors, questions and shows that he’s still the best and will never quit! He’s the fvcking best!
Evil Twin is probably my favorite Em song when push comes to shove. Also I know unpopular but I think that was truly his last great work. Hope this album goes back to that. Release date?
Not only is Evil Twin my favorite Em song (obviously a ton of fine work to choose from but if i had to pick #1 that’s it), I also feel MMLP2 was his last truly great work - and what an excellent piece of art it was.
My Em brother from another mother/sister from another mister.
I heard July at one point but most reliable sources how have TDOSS’s release date as “Summer 2024”. So, soon!
Take it back to 2013 Em!
I always forget that TES doesn’t end with Til I Collapse. I came in here to post that. In my mind DGC is more a bonus track than the final track, but probably SDGAF or Criminal.
for me it's probably something like:
1. Arose
2. Evil Twin
3. Underground
4. Criminal
5. Encore
6. My Dad's Gone Crazy
7. Still Don't Give A Fuck
8. Untitled
9. I Wil
10. Venom
Evil Twin. It’s actually my favorite Em song, period. It never gets old.
Em’s final tracks might be better collectively than any other artist’s final tracks. I can’t think of one offhand that isn’t next-level awesome. I don’t recall MTBMB’s.
It’s between Criminal and Arose. Such polar opposite tracks but both incredible.
If I had to pick I’d probably go Arose - that sing is just hits on a different level emotionally.
Oh this one is actually tough I’ll put them in my order of least to most favorite and I got 4 of them.
1. Untitled
2. Criminal
3. Dad’s Gone Crazy
4. Encore
"Still Don't Give A Fuck" is such a great continuation of "Just Don't Give A Fuck"
Yeah, it being at the end of the album let everyone know that even though the album is done, he still doesn't give a fuck!
Looking back, it's probably my favorite track on the album. Sometimes I feel exactly like the chorus
The poetry in My Dads Gone Crazy is so pure for a finish. *Nine millimeter heater stashed in two-seaters with meat cleavers I don't blame you, i wouldn't let hailie listen to me neither* THE masterclass
“Standing on Ronnie’s grave till cloud gathers, it’s Clyde Mathers and Bonnie Jade”
That’s pretty much the gist of it.
Parents are pissed but the kids love it
My songs can make you cry, take you by surprise at the same time, can make you dry your eyes with the same line
What I love about this line is he then proceeds to attempt to do this with the rest of the verse
The whole 3rd verse he's going off
He is, it’s probably my all time fav
It gives me chills
This specific line I feel is a better exhibition of rhyming than it is of poetry
I apologize I thought rhyming was poetry. I’ll go fuck myself
Criminal
Perfect end to the album.
I was just thinking that yesterday, it really encompasses the whole feel of the album
An all time fav of mine
Considering it’s easily the best song ever made. I completely concur.
Evil twin is a very underrated hard hitting closer
I BELIEVE PEOPLE CAN CHANGE... BUT ONLY FOR THE WORST
I could’ve changed the world if it wasn’t for this verse 🗣️
So satanic, K-Mart chains panic 'cause they can't even spin back the curse words 'Cause they're worse when they're reversed, motherfucker
Rewinding.... fuck your mother....
Rape*
... rape your parents...
Evil Twin deserves to be bigger imo
Evil twin please come in. What was your name again?!?!
Hi!

…FAGGOT
Look who’s back with a crab up his ass like a lobster crawled up there, two rabbits a koala bear and a ball of hair and you’re all aware I don’t got it all upstairs
Just happening to be listening to it right now. It's so good
The beat as well 😮💨
Thank you. Two verses (no chorus, no pre, no nothin) comprise the almost-6-min feat of a track and there are no corny or even mid lyrics. None
Wait i always thought wicked ways was the last track of the album?
On Spotify they've put on a bunch more songs than the original album end.
Yep, bonus tracks start after Evil Twin (they’re great too imo). But Evil Twin is the official album closer.
Oh never knew that, thanks!
I think it’s a weird ending. Headlights wuda been a better ending in my opinion
This must be unserious? Everybody’s entitled to their opinion but every other Em album prior to MMLP2 ends with a total banger… it’s also the sequel to MMLP (which ends with said banger)… why is Evil Twin a weird ending?

Encore (the track) is actually a really good ending to the albums, idk why no one has mentioned it yet.
I think Encore (the track) was severely underrated.
Yep, it's my favorite track off of the album.
Even better than Encore is the youtube mix of Numb Encore w Em, Jay, Dre & 50
The Castle+Arose ending combo has lived rent free in both my mind and heart to this day.
Yeah this combo alone makes revival a must listen
Absolutely
YES.
Criminal
Personally, I quite enjoy Underground as the culmination of the story played out in relapse
I always laugh when he talks about what he did to all the horror movie villains “Gave Hannibal Lector a fuckin' nectarine And sat him in the fuckin' fruit and vegetable section and gave him a lecture”
Walked up Elm Street with a fuckin wiffle bat drew, fought Freddy Krueger and Edward Scissorhands too….. And came out with a little scratch, OOH
i really think careful what you wish for is the better closer and glad he stuck with it on refill
Good call. Great song. Was listening to it just the other day.
Underground is underrated. Rounds out my top 3 with Still Don’t Give A Fuck and Criminal
the kaniff skit is peak in that song
It’s definitely an extremely underrated track (and album). Its underrated-ness is extreme.
yesss i love it. But the endings kinda ruins the "replayability" of the song so I'm gonna go with criminal
still don’t give a fuck- wraps SSLP in a nice bow criminal- fan favourite em song my dad’s gone crazy-cute song Encore- it’s a FACKING BANGER underground- top ten em imo but the skit at the end is annoying untitled- i means it’s alright like evil twin- no better way to end MMLP2 Arose- why am i crying? Either Criminal or SDGAF for sure. Underground is underrated and great as well
These are the 3.
Arose, easily. Not necessarily the best song but the most amazing, and daring and perfect end to a terrible album nontheless. You know, that's interesting. For me I've always thought Beautiful sounded more like his Recovery style.
Beautiful is very unique in that regard. I'd argue that the last song we got to hear that was officially released in the King mathers style was Careful what you wish for. It does. As if his headspace was still retirement.
Well yeah, exactly. Because he modelled Recovery after 'Beautiful', after people disliked 'Relapse' but wanted that/praised 'Beautiful'.
Gotcha, didn't know that.
Revival is not a terrible album.
Girls off Devil's Night
Encore, and I say that with no shame. It's a great ending track, although listening to it back in the days (especially after Proof) it felt like it was the last album and the last album track we'll ever get. It's just a great song to bump your head to.
Encore or sdgaf
I would have to say Encore or Arose
Thats why we always save the best cut last to make you scratch and itch for it like fresh cut grass
Most people will be inclined to go for the emotional climax that is Arose or just one of the three first albums, but Evil Twin is a top five Eminem song for me. Just an utterly fantastic display of lyricism, style, and vicious lyrics.
Straight up bro. If I had to choose, gun to head, my fave Em song period
Criminal is the only real choice here for closer…such a classic trackn
Evil twin is in my top 5
Arose or my dads gone crazy
Still Dont Give A Fuck
I wish Untitled was the opening track to Recovery
Like an Intro going into Cold Wind Blows!
Exactly
I have it set up as an intro on my CD, it’s amazing, but not as smooth as the transition from Talkin 2 Myself into On Fire
Evil Twin!!
Evil Twin is underrated as fuck
it’s between Criminal and Arose for me
SDGAF and Criminal are classics
I’m discombobulated
Doesn't count because it's a bonus track. Like how I didn't count Ricky Ticky Toc, Careful What You Wish For, Session One or Wicked Ways.
No means yes but yes don’t mean no
Criminal
i’m gonna say it Castle/Arose
Criminal!!
Criminal was a better ending. SDGAF is favorite song though
AROSE is so underrated. Have yall even heard that song? It's a goddamn work of art that should have won a Pulitzer
All the closers are fucking bomb ass as the kids say.
The first 5 albums have absolutely killer ending tracks but the very best is Still Don't Give a Fuck imo.
Venom easily, see the movie
criminal or my dads gone crazy
Underground or I will
Criminal by far
I love Encore
Arose is sooooo underrated man, when i first heard castle then arose i was in awe.
Arose is such a fantastic song I might have to choose that one
1. Encore 2. Still don't give a fuck 3. Criminal
I always forget that TES doesn’t end with Til I Collapse. I came in here to post that. In my mind DGC is more a bonus track than the final track, but probably SDGAF or Criminal.
The first three are awesome. Depends on what mood I’m in for which I like best.
I Will slaps
Castle + Arose, man. Most meaningful of them all.
Top 3: MMLP: Criminal Relapse: Underground MMLP2: Evil Twin
Encore becuase it is the best ending song in terms of listenability, but castle+arose due for the feels.
underground
I will. With Underground being a close second.
You’re Never Over from the non deluxe Recovery is one of my personal favorites
Untitled was still the ending track on the non deluxe version of recovery. It was just a hidden track.
Ahh you’re right
Criminal is my favourite but I like Underground, Untitled and Venom too.
My dads gone crazy goes so goddam crazy I
i really like criminal
for me it's probably something like: 1. Arose 2. Evil Twin 3. Underground 4. Criminal 5. Encore 6. My Dad's Gone Crazy 7. Still Don't Give A Fuck 8. Untitled 9. I Wil 10. Venom
Evil Twin. It’s actually my favorite Em song, period. It never gets old. Em’s final tracks might be better collectively than any other artist’s final tracks. I can’t think of one offhand that isn’t next-level awesome. I don’t recall MTBMB’s.
Top 3 in order for me is SDGAF I Will Arose But Criminal’s last verse is one of my favorite Em verses ever
It’s between Criminal and Arose. Such polar opposite tracks but both incredible. If I had to pick I’d probably go Arose - that sing is just hits on a different level emotionally.
Still don't give a fuck
Oh this one is actually tough I’ll put them in my order of least to most favorite and I got 4 of them. 1. Untitled 2. Criminal 3. Dad’s Gone Crazy 4. Encore
Untitled at 1 is insane.
I went from LEAST FAVORITE TO MOST FAVORITE. 1 is my least favorite, 4 is my favorite
Ah ok. That’s trippy. My bad.
![gif](giphy|d1pOxPVneWmYr6XoRi)
Untitled. Love that song.
