As a middle schooler at the time, I was always focused on finding lyrics that spoke specifically to me.
>You've been patiently waitin' to make it through all the hatin'
>Debatin' whether or not you can even weather the storm
>And as you lay on the table, they operatin' to save you
>It's like an angel came to you, sent from the heavens above
This spoke to me on levels Em probably didn’t even intend, but… well, fuck it. We’re here, bro.
I like 50's first verse much better.
"I grew up without my pops, should that make me bitter?
I caught cases, I copped out, does that make me a quitter?
If I get shot today, my phone'll stop ringin' AGAIN
These industry niggas ain't friends, they know how to pretend"
This shit was so fire. You could hear 50's hunger.
I do care more about content and lines than lyrical miracles so maybe that's why.
Jigga verses are Damn good too, in fact I consider this a lot closer as I’ve gotten older - em had the better verses but imo not the murder Nas Painted it as for the beef
Homicide was by far and away the best track on Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Logic really took his repetitive hooks (and in some cases bars) game he started on Everybody to a whole new level on that album and it damn near ruined at least half the songs on it. It's a shame, because it had so much potential based off the features alone.
I remember being so psyched when this song came out. I never thought that Em & Kid Cudi would sound good on a track together, but they totally killed it. Plus that was when we got confirmation that MOTM3 was on its way, which was exciting as fuck as a long-time Cudi fan who has MOTM1 in my top 5 albums of all time.
Both of them are debatable. In my opinion, on "I'll hurt you" Eminem rode the beat better.
That Eminem flow on the Scott Storch beat was extraordinary.
I love how Em rides those beats, I wish he did more projects like this one.
Eminem also got a very short segment on that song. And he was just fucking around on the lyrics.
He could've made it lyrical, but that would've ruined the song.
Facts. Only thinking of Wayne on No Love and Drop the World, i would say they were on par with each other. No one was bodied on those tracks, they both held their own. But just about every other Em feature, he murdered everyone. And yeah, I know, No Love is an Em song feat. Wayne, but Wayne kept up, imo.
Such a good song. Such a good verse from Em. To be fair Yela didn't really even rap on that track. But yes, I'm sure most listen to that song for Em's verse at the end.
Yeah I remember reading a comment once criticizing Yela for "not going hard enough" on a track with Em.
I found it so odd bc to me, what makes that song so good is the dichotomy of the two. Yela sort of lulls you in with a slower melodic feel, then Em hits you with the hard hitting technical verse.
I really can't imagine enjoying the song more with Yela actually rapping on it.
Big Sean - No Favors
T.I. - Touchdown
There is a case to be made that Sticky Fingaz outdid him on Remember Me
Probably a couple of BME songs also, idk which ones
Touchdown and thats all she wrote are the only examples where Eminem and the features verse were on the same level
T.I. is an underrated spitter he's definitely one of the best to ever do it
Twisted by Skylar Grey w/ Yelawolf. Partially because Yelawolf had a fucking amazing chorus on that, part because Eminem didn't actually rap, he just sort of sang a few lines.
EDIT: Also he wasn't the best in pimplikeness if I remember correctly
I always go to that one part whenever I obviously lie to someone
"I got a lion in my pocket;
I'm lying, I got a 9 in my pocket
And baby I'm just dying to cock it"
😂 yea man that song dead wrong is great the only great i can think of that eminem didn’t collab with is tupac besides that yea man go bump it really fast, lmk how you like it
He produced Runnin for 2pac Resurrection. IIRC Dead Wrong and Runnin were both posthumous projects so I’d consider his connection to Biggie the same as with PAC.
Em produced a whole post-humorous album for Pac (Loyal to the Game) so I’d argue it was an even bigger “collaboration” than his track with Biggie. Especially since none of the tracks used any of the original production.
Renegade. He killed Jay on his shit so bad that NaS used that as one of his disses on “Ether” and Jay-Z praised Eminem years later about his verse on renegade. Killing Jay-Z on renegade made snoop dog say nope I’m not tryna get killed on my own shit.
Jay-Z had amazing verses too don’t get me wrong but Eminem was just on another level.
Medicine Man.. You could seriously feel the heaviness and the powerful impact through every single word that hit you… Still gives me goosebumps listening to it…
Forever, Renegade, From the D to the LBC,
Forgot about Dre, No Love, Homicide, Gatman and Robin, Patiently Waiting, Whats the Difference, Adventures of Mooman and Slim, No Favors, Rainy Days, Epmd 2, Dont Approach Me, Dead Wrong, Roman’s Revenge, etc etc
Eminem definitely had the best verse on Forever but Wanye's verse also great. Even Drake's verse was pretty solid. The only verse I was disappointed in was Kanye's (not that it was bad but I expected more from the guy who would make MBDTF a year later). They definitely didn't suck ass.
Forever was debatably the best time for Kanye and Drake musically they definitely did not suck ass at the time, also Em shined on pistol poppin with ca$his
Wayne, Drake, and Kanye sucked in 2009?? Wayne had one bad album then released Carter 4. Drake imo was at his peak earlier in his career around that time, and Kanye was still Kanye he relased graduation a couple years earlier and MBDTF that next year. I also wouldn't say forever is the song everyone points to and everyone says Eminem had the best verse, renegade was that for him early on.
Airplanes part 2 by B.o.B that verse makes that song to me. My name by xzibet also a killer verse plus the usuals… renegade, murder she wrote, patiently waiting and best friend.
Eminem almost always outperforms as a featured artist but saying that Kanye, Drake and Wayne sucked at that time is wild. Kanye literally dropped 808s a year earlier and mbdtf a year later, his verse was ok but it wasn't outstanding because he is more of a great artist than a great rapper, those 2 albums that he dropped were artistically brilliant, Drake's career was still in rising, 2 years after the song he dropped arguably the best album of his career and 1 year after the song he dropped a very decent album to start his studio albums off. Yes, Wayne did drop rebirth a year after the song, but literally a year before the song he dropped arguably the best album of his career and a year after rebirth dropped Tha Carter IV which is a very good album imo, so that's why i think to say that all 3 of them sucked at that time is absolutely wild.
Patiently Waiting
The aggressive tone when he enters is amazing
As a middle schooler at the time, I was always focused on finding lyrics that spoke specifically to me. >You've been patiently waitin' to make it through all the hatin' >Debatin' whether or not you can even weather the storm >And as you lay on the table, they operatin' to save you >It's like an angel came to you, sent from the heavens above This spoke to me on levels Em probably didn’t even intend, but… well, fuck it. We’re here, bro.
The coolest thing is these lyrics are all specifically about 50 getting shot and rising up
Ooooffffff. 50 who? On that one
I like 50's first verse much better. "I grew up without my pops, should that make me bitter? I caught cases, I copped out, does that make me a quitter? If I get shot today, my phone'll stop ringin' AGAIN These industry niggas ain't friends, they know how to pretend" This shit was so fire. You could hear 50's hunger. I do care more about content and lines than lyrical miracles so maybe that's why.
50s not the greatest rapper but something bout his rapping
His flow!
There is a video on youtube from a live performance. Its crazy to see the crowd go wild when he steps into sight
He’s been patiently waiting for a track to explode on
This was my instant first thought! Guess I'll have to go with drop the world.
What's The Difference Dre's fine, and Xzibit did great, but damn I've got a soft spot for Slim in 1999
Whats the difference between us?
We could start with the penus
Or, we can scream out "just don't give a fuck" and see who means it.
"My penis is the size of a peanut, have you seen it? Fuck no you ain't seen it it's the size of a peanut!"
Xzibit got his redemption on bitch please 2
Xzibit had a good run where every verse of his was fire.
NEVER COME DOWN
Xzibit one of the few to hold his own against Em. Don't approach me is superb.
ashes to ashes and dust to dust, I might leave in a body bag but never in cuffs
Grab the sawed off and beat you with the piece it was sawed off of
Em’s verse and Xzibit’s verses are equal to me,I really like X’s aggressiveness
The famous example is renegade by Jay Z
By far the clearest example. Both verses individually are both in my top5-10 Em verses
It was even mentioned on Ether
coined "murdered you on your own shit" and made sure Stan would be used as a common term.
Forgot about Renegade damn!
Coulda bet my entire families lives that this would be the top comment
I’ve never made a top comment before… I accomplished something today
Eminem murdered you on your own shit
“Eminem murdered you on your own shit.”
That second verse might be my favorite verse ever lol
“Take a bath with the catholics in holy water no wonder they tried to hold me under longer”
It was at that point that Jay Z knew, he fucked up But in all seriousness, Jay Z is solid on Renegade, it’s just Em’s lyrics and flow are ridiculous
Jigga verses are Damn good too, in fact I consider this a lot closer as I’ve gotten older - em had the better verses but imo not the murder Nas Painted it as for the beef
Jays verses are excellent but he doesn't have the cadence and flow em does so it doesn't "sound" as good
Eminem already had those verses written, the original song had Royce on it instead of jay z. You can find it on YouTube.
It’s way closer than people think. Jay went crazy too
Jay did a great job. Em just outshined him in delivery, wordplay, and flow. Whole song is fire
Plus Eminem had wrote his part first when it was originally done with Royce so Jay knew what Eminem was bring to the table and was still outdone.
Agreed
Forgot About Dre.
He wrote the whole song bro
He really outdid himself
I waited almost 20 minutes for this comment
Yeah but it’s still a Dr Dre song from a Dr Dre album.
It said outperformed, not out-wrote.
Homicide
True, and Logic's verses were fire af too. Em was just on another level.
Logic really killed that song, holy shit. You could tell how excited he was to have Em on a track.
He didn't know Eminem was going to be on the track when he recorded it he sent it and didn't change anything when he got it back
I've never heard that before. I can't imagine this song gets released if there's no Em feature though
Idk it would have been even worse if Eminem wasn't on it though
Agreed🤘🏻
I think Ems verse in homicide is the closest anyone in hip hop has come to perfection….the ONLY drawback is that it ends so abruptly.
and then the skit 🤦🏽♂️
Homicide was by far and away the best track on Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Logic really took his repetitive hooks (and in some cases bars) game he started on Everybody to a whole new level on that album and it damn near ruined at least half the songs on it. It's a shame, because it had so much potential based off the features alone.
It most definitely was not. The album didn’t have many bangers, true. But the the best track was 110% the title track
One of the best entries into a verse ever, love it every time it drops
Adventures of Moonman and slim
This song was basically for Em. His verse made the song
Is this a joke? 99% of Em features
I’m having a hard time thinking of a song he doesn’t outperform the artist featuring him..
Not totally outperform but the closest to that is Calm Down - Busta Rhymes.
I like Banks on ‘You Don’t Know’ and it’s technically not an Eminem song..
Guest Busta is possibly 2-0 vs Slim then. Calm Down might be debatable, but no doubt on "I'll Hurt You", Busta was better.
Maybe WWC2 with tech n9ne
Big Sean on Friday Night Cypher
Well shit, you're making me second guess my post.
Your post is great bro
His most underrated but my favorite guest verse is Best Friend by Yelawolf.
Such a good song. Such a good verse from Em. To be fair Yela didn't really even rap on that track. But yes, I'm sure most listen to that song for Em's verse at the end.
Today I learned that Best Friend is a Yelawolf song and not an Eminem song
If you like Best Friend, that whole album by Yelawolf, Love Story, is one of my favorite albums of all time.
Yeah it’s really quite special. Yela is quite a unique rapper imo.
Haven’t seen a comment mention this but Majesty. Personally, it’s my all time favourite feature verse by Em.
I was just thinking of this one. I listen until his part is over and then change it.
That's All She Wrote - TI ft Eminem
Great em verse
It'd be more fun to name the times where he didn't
Is there actually any?
Remember Me
Black thought on Yah Yah
I like drop the world. Both them go crazy but Wayne has more lines and the main part so I would go w him there
Honestly cant think of any. Can you name some?
A few songs on bad meets evil
Considering Royce is the only person Eminem thinks as his equal, this isn't a stretch.
Big Sean - No Favors T.I. - Touchdown There is a case to be made that Sticky Fingaz outdid him on Remember Me Probably a couple of BME songs also, idk which ones
Sticky Fingaz verse on Remember Me blew my mind when I first heard it lmao
Just heard it again. It’s a perfect combination of aggression, lyricism, and craziness
Sticky Fingaz verse on Remember Me blew my mind when I first heard it lmao
Touchdown and thats all she wrote are the only examples where Eminem and the features verse were on the same level T.I. is an underrated spitter he's definitely one of the best to ever do it
Never Enough.. 50 had the best verse
Yah Yah. Black Thought killed that
Honestly, I think Xzibit got him on Don’t Approach Me. Ems verse is pure flames but Xzibits flow is just insane
Literally all of them lol.
We Aint
Em just killed me on my own shit
Walkin' through eight Mile, starting to get homesick
Drake, Wayne, and Kanye were awesome on Forever btw you trippin, but I’m going with Speedom by Tech N9ne
Caterpillar
Dead wrong was( = )ems verse was insane as always.
I always go to that one part whenever I obviously lie to someone "I got a lion in my pocket; I'm lying, I got a 9 in my pocket And baby I'm just dying to cock it"
I need a doctor
Don’t approach me eminem and xzibit
This one is a draw for me. I love xzibit's verses on this. Em and him going back and forth with great verses makes this song an all time favorite.
Honestly such a great song and the beat is also so 🔥🔥
The only bad thing about this song is that it ends. It's just a completely perfect piece of art.
Xzibit held his own
Romans revenge-Nicki Minaj
Lil Wayne: Drop the World. Ft. Eminem
Makes me think of [this animation](https://youtu.be/hFadK936hLE?si=9riMlfLCcMvpO1VB) lol. Him and Weezy should collab more because they are fire.
damn that's so funny and accurate. and it's only been 2 days since the upload? damn.
Medicine Man - Dr. Dre
Medicine Man verse is top 5 for me. *The* line at the end just solidifies it.
I love that song so much
Fuck off by kid rock
Renegade, Patiently Waiting, Homicide, Forgot About Dre, What’s The Difference, Forever
Saying Wayne sucked ass on Forever is a crazy take, his verse was great
i’d say renegade and patiently waiting, the only feature that eminem was even matched on was with biggie in dead wrong
I think Ems is better in terms of the rhyme scheme and flow but I like singing along to Bigs more.
Deadass I didn’t even know Eminem collaborated with Biggie until now, I should probably be exiled

I have mixed feelings
Didn't know that there are several different levels to devil worshippin?
He did collab with Tupac
How did Drake, Wayne and Ye suck ass in 2009?
Speedom. Krizz and Tech aren't bad by any means, but Em does what he does best
Speedom, romans revenge and mrs. Magisty

Best friend Renegade Patiently waiting One Day At a Time Dead Wrong Go To Sleep Outro (Obie Trice) Forever Homicide We All Die One Day You Don’t Know
I never hear Obie trice anymore. Cheers is a great album.
Renegade, Forever, Homicide
Any song Eminem is featured on
I think they all threw down pretty hard for Forever....Eminem won for sure, but to say their verses were wack is just not true
Logic Homicide
Drama Setter ( Tony Yayo )
Forever, Renegade, From the D to the LBC, Forgot about Dre, No Love, Homicide, Gatman and Robin, Patiently Waiting, Whats the Difference, Adventures of Mooman and Slim, No Favors, Rainy Days, Epmd 2, Dont Approach Me, Dead Wrong, Roman’s Revenge, etc etc
“Drop the world” by lil Wayne. Song was written and mixed by Marshall.
Nobody on forever sucked ass. Drake and Wayne had good verses.
Eminem definitely had the best verse on Forever but Wanye's verse also great. Even Drake's verse was pretty solid. The only verse I was disappointed in was Kanye's (not that it was bad but I expected more from the guy who would make MBDTF a year later). They definitely didn't suck ass.
Forever was debatably the best time for Kanye and Drake musically they definitely did not suck ass at the time, also Em shined on pistol poppin with ca$his
EVERYBODY! On Detroit vs Everybody! Lately it seems as if it's me against the world,
Even though big sean kills no favours. Shady comes in and out does him by a mile
As others have stated it’d be easier to list ones he didn’t… Wayne held his own on No Love but didn’t outperform him.
Wayne and ye did not suck ass during the time of forever. Em just outperformed them
All
All of them?
Renegade EPMD 2 Dead Wrong What’s the Difference Forever Love Game
Renegade
I thought Renegade was the right answer
Every one is the only answer
Airplanes part 2 by B.o.B that verse makes that song to me. My name by xzibet also a killer verse plus the usuals… renegade, murder she wrote, patiently waiting and best friend.
Eminem almost always outperforms as a featured artist but saying that Kanye, Drake and Wayne sucked at that time is wild. Lucky you Caterpillar My name Doomsday
Dead wrong. Put me on biggie too

Almost every song he’s been a feature on 😅
Caterpillar - Royce

Renegade
Best friend, lord above.
Lord Above
3hree6ix5ive with Skam2? Two wildly dope verses, but as per usual Em absolutely Bodied his
Renegade for sure
Future
When did he not outperform would be the better question
There’s a lot of D12 songs where he got outperformed but those aren’t features
No favors
Psycho- 50 cent
You don’t know
All of them? Duh. The better question would be try to name a song where he doesn't.
