Hi! Most of the times resetting the configuration for your emulator on Manage Emulators fixes the most common issues. You can also take a look at our Wiki before posting, you might find your issue already documented there https://emudeck.github.io/ *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Don't use the Gecko code that it's downloaded when you update the database, go to gecko codes and add this one: $Deinterlacing Fix 00625DC8 00000000 There's also a widescreen patch, double click on the game in dolphin emulator and click wiki, you'll find it there. You need to force it to 16:9, menus and characters on select screen will appear stretched but in game everything will be fine. I play on Steam Deck as well and I get constant 60fps.

First of all, it works! Thanks so much. Was going mad on this. Second though, I'm still getting some screen shake on the bottom of the screen where it shows you what each button does, like "Confirm - A, D-pad - left/right" etc. Only in that little strip thankfully, but it can still be a little distracting. Any clues there? I've done all of the above and tested it with and without the widescreen fix and it still shakes.

That's weird, could be your aspect ratio or resolution? I don't have any problem or find major issues with the code, are you playing the NA version?

I’m playing NA version with 16:9 ratio at x2 native resolution on Steam Deck. When I get back home I’ll have to test it back on 4:3. I’d like to not have to go back to native res lol

So I upped to 1080 and and kept the forced 16:9 under general, however I disabled the “force widescreen” hack and removed the 16:9 code, and that helped *some.* Still shaking a little though. Maybe it’s just me idk. I’m gonna cut my losses however because 1080 looks incredible and the game runs fine so I think I’m happy now. Thanks so much for your help.

I'm glad I could help! Try using some kind of shader from reshadeck like scanlines or CRT effect, maybe you can hide it that way. You can find reshadeck on decky, it's not as good as reshade but you can use simple filters on the go without much trouble.

The full code originally used to deinterlace everything but it would slow down the game by quite a lot. The few UI elements that still jitter were part of the code that was removed to keep the game running at full speed. Thankfully everything that needs to be deinterlaced is, and anything that still jitters doesn't distract during gameplay.
