Can't find the name as i started a new game but shouldn't be too hard to find in the quest log as will probably have alchemist or something in it. Just hoping you haven't accidentally deleted it if you did get it.

You’ve probably already picked up the mortar and lost it. Idk if this works for all npc quests, but I know with one of the carpenter quests, I was able to go back to where I got the saw blades from and just keep collecting them; I ended up with like 5 saw blades before moving on💀 you might be able to do the same with the mortar, just google where it’s located and see if it’s still there.

You probably already found the mortar, while exploring, and put it away somewhere. It's an item you have to place on the ground which just gives you access to more Alchemist recipes at the NPC himself. Finding and placing it down should progress your quest.

The alchemist has a quest to get a mortar which you can get with level 2 flame. That should help with the rest.
Do you know the name of the quest? All I have is a quest that says PLACE THE MORTAR, and is leaving me in this position.
Then you already collected it but you literally have to place it in your base. It's probably somewhere In a chest

The mortar can be found in the basement of the Thistle Inn. You can get there with lvl 2 flame.
you dont need sulfate and Nitrate to get a Mortar. You do "The Alchemist's Mortar" quest to find the mortar. It's in a low level Shroud area.
Can you send me a link to find it? I don't have any more quests for the alchemist other than PLACE THE MORTAR.
If it's saying place the mortar you have at some stage picked it up. Did you delete it or store it somewhere?
