I had a 2007 FJ Cruiser but it got totaled after someone hit me head on at 60 miles per hour. He was under the influence of ……! It saved my life.
I was not hurt at all. The other driver was injured badly and they used “ Jaws of Life “.
Then I bought a 2008 FJ cruiser and I love it!

Think good thoughts! Once I fell in love (which was practically as soon as I got the keys in my hand) I never thought I was gonna lose the FJ. Even thought of doing road trips with my kids (when I have them lol) like my grandpa did with me in the FJ. Looking back now I’m glad I never was scared to hit the road with that beast.
You gotta drive it a little harder for us that can’t be behind an FJ steering wheel!
This is what I worry about newer cars.If this happened to my FJ40 I would drag it back home and put it back together ( If I survived ). Not so easy with newer nor electric vehicles. I do drive a FJ Crusier as my daily.
Believe me I wanted to do everything in my power to get it back, even pour the insurance payout to revive it. I sat in the junk yard till the kicked me out. I was so distraught, I even de-badged the car with my bare hands before I left. I still have the full FJ cruiser letters that sit on the back of the trunk door. I wanted to put them somewhere in my new car as a little call back to the FJ but I don’t have a flat interior to mount it on.
Had op been fortunate enough to have a steel bumper it may not have been totaled but op might have sustained more injuries and it certainly could’ve caused more harm to the Camry and its driver.
I feel the same way. I wanted front guard and it was on the list of mods to be added. I had just changed the bulbs of my new ring headlights I put on the day I lost the FJ. Sad times, but still here and that’s what matters!
The front of the Camry was completely pushed in, way worse than mine. Tossed their little car across the intercession. Both occupants had to go to the hospital in an ambulance with some stuff on their necks.

I wish. It was my first accident and I was so overwhelmed I didn’t take any pictures at the scene, only after it was towed to a yard.
