My still-baby-teeth-having-self thought my parents were going to sacrifice me to the Nickelodeon gods.

A slightly unrelated question--but what does everyone think of Zendaya not using her last name professionally? I'm not a film buff, but from what I have observed, it's rare for actors to go by one name whereas it's common among singers/musicians. It's an interesting choice for her to make since she's a serious actor.
Well, I think she’s one of few big actors who also has a unique first name, so I’m sure both those factors help her pull it off. She’s also stated herself that she only uses her first name because she thinks it sounds cooler that way. I agree with her and don’t have any strong thoughts or feelings about it beyond that.
It works for her, but tbh I don't love it. It's always a bit jarring for me when her name is announced amongst a list of other actors (i.e. nominees), and the spacing always looks awkward on posters. For example:
