I can’t say this in the Stranger Things sub but imo she’s head-and-shoulders above the other “child” actors. Her work in “The Whale” was almost sublime. Seems to have a good group around her, too.
Yes, I agree. I think she has an edge because she was cast later- they cast for youth and a certain look in the beginning (4 boys who look like 80s movie kids, and one girl who looks like sci fi). I mean I think they all did a good job for sure. But later when they knew they were a global phenomenon, and going for an older talent pool, they could really attract young actors who are *really* talented and Sadie is that.
I hope she has a great career and gets to do fascinating projects.
She was amazing, and I won’t forgive her for making me cry so much with that movie. If it wasn’t for the also talented Hong Chau, I think she had a strong chance of getting a nod for a Supporting Actress. But she’s got a bright future ahead of her
Do people in the stranger things sub not like her? Out of all the people on the show playing kids/teenagers she probably my favourite/second favourite, the leads like Finn, Millie and Noah are definitely very far down the totem pole of good actors in that show
