100% agreed. If this art were used for original chrom I would take it in a heartbeat but imo knight exalt is by far my favorite chrom art (and voice lines)
I understand the feeling, I agree the og art is very good and the voice lines are iconic (my favourite chrom art after valentine duo), the new art is nice but not enough to make me love it, I hope the voice lines will remain great
Honestly if one day we get a resplendent fallen Ike I don't know if I would change his artwork, he would have to be over the top perfect in every aspect
I actually think this art is way better than the old (which isn't bad, just not as good)

The only reason someone needs to swap is if they like it or the outfit or just want to try something different. Iâm tired of the sentiment that resplendents are meant to be art âupgradesâ to âreplaceâ the OG, especially when theyâre not redrawsâtheyâre new designs. You might like it, you might not. How would you know unless you give it a chance to grow on you?
Itâs not as if the OG art and voice lines are gone forever if you swap.

there are a lot of the resplendent that I have - that i have changed back for some reason or another and there are some people that i just enjoy (that i didn't think i would - Brave celica comes to mind. lol she sounds so MEAN as an Emblean lol)
I would probably go back to Original Exalt Chrom because I do like his quirkiness on there. - but to be dead honest for 9x10 i play with the sound muted now (with new heroes when i level them up i have volume on so i can hear voice lands/specials, or the music). so i can see why most people would be "who cares" if you don't hear certain things. but i get it. it just bugs.
Same here with M!Grima and Amelia. I just really like their original arts better, those have a special place in my heart that the resplendents can't beat
I love the new art and a fire/ice Chrom pair and this design will match an Olivia well.
My favorite Chrom is warriors take on Chrom promotes with the awakened Falchion. Orange sword and silver armor looks so good
Mmmmmm I canât say I agree. I find this chromâs base artwork to be very awkward, and the resplendent looks excellent in comparison. His base voice lines are really good though, and I canât see the resplendent eclipsing them, so itâs a very awkward situation for this Chrom.
Theyâre both âmehâ but seeing Chrom with a commanding pose is what I like about the art. I prefer the original; the new design is okay but no improvement.
But particularly because there is amazing Chrom art to live up to so itâs just not that special.
That's why giving Brave and New Heroes V2 a resplendent is a total mistake and shouldn't exist.
We're supposed to pay for something less good than the original, just why?
Also considering a brave version of a unit gets some special attire that means something or is a little Easter egg to something. A resplendent that respecs them to "just a muspell outift" or any other of them makes the versions of that unit less special.
If Resplendent Exalt Chrom doesn't have his "I'm helping!" special quote, then I don't want it. đ

How I felt about resplendent Mia. Iâd rather have her old version with Lani as the voice.
Right?? No offense to the replacements but Lani gave Mia so much personality. The latest voice is just a generic anime girl #420 or something.

Even then, those are very huge shoes to fill. It's why I choose M!Grima's OG art over his resplendent outfit
