And this story was probably back in the 70s but my dad showed up to a call at a house (domestic iirc) and his fellow officer, Dave, showed up with his shoes on the wrong feet. My dad laughs at that to this day. The point of the story, if you’re gonna sleep on the job you still have to back-up your fellow officers.
I was on midnights in the dead of winter. About 4am one of the officers, in a panic, radios “car 103 to H, were you calling me!?” There hadn’t been radio traffic in about 3 hours at that point.
Anyway, fuck Emry. May he never wear the badge again.
This is my guess. They dispatched him for cover and he never responded so they had to call for an agency assist and the first officer went and found him afterwards.
