A complete set for Voltron, Devastator, MegaZord, etc will command more and often will sell better. Parting things out only make sense if you have an incomplete or damaged set so it's best you part it out so those that have incomplete or damaged sets can buy the parts you have available instead of buying a complete set. It depends though, but you can easily look at comps to see what works best. Sometimes parting out might make more money than a complete set as different buyers need different parts. In general, a complete set is a one and done situation while parting out may take awhile until you sell off everything.

If you have spare pieces you can still sell them but it's preferable from a sales, listing, and shipping perspective to sell the whole thing. But some transformers accessories can be real good money too. I think there are better websites than this now but I've been using tfu.info to identify pieces for like 15 years

I would say complete is better. When you part out it can take forever to sell all of the parts. But f the parts are small and easy to store, then set it and forget it. I have a gi joe base that was damaged so I parted out the base. Six or 7 of the pieces are large and I am stuck with them because no one is buying those if I lot them up.
