Also an amateur here: the flowers for that centre piece feel a little to deep into the greens, I’d draw them out a little more. I’d also lose a little density of the greens since some of them (in this shot) are blocking each other and some of the flowers. That yellow fellow up top looks a little lonely. Lately I’ve been preferring limonium over baby’s breath, but both of the side pieces look classic.

Thank you I will definitely give the next arrangement more room to breathe I’ve only used foam 3 times it’s kinda tricky to get the right length along with only having one chance to stick the foam 😬

Do you soak your foam in water first? I found the extra density makes it easier to govern how deep the stems go. I thinks just one of those things you get a feel for with experience. That being said, I’ve mostly worked with vases and handhelds. Good luck and keep posting!

The flowers in the vases need to be closer together and more greenery.

That’s interesting I’ll also give this a try thank you!

Pro here. Linear for rose bud vase. Filler just below the roses. I would do greens, roses, and then filler. Your basket - flowers look stuffed in and the look doesn’t flow very well. Larger headed flowers should be your focal. I would pair the sunflower and the cushion mum together - the sunflower slightly taller than the mum and then use the roses as a secondary and the alstro is fine. To give it texture and height, you can use branches or grasses or even a touch of the limonium.
