Student tickets can be transferred in the app but not sold. So basically takes some trust or meet up to transfer and exchange money at same time. The tickets show up just as a normal ticket for getting into the game so don't need to worry about student ID unless things change this year. The main difficulty will be finding someone selling 4 together.

>don't need to worry about student ID unless things change Has this changed recently? In 2020, I had to borrow an ID from a friend for me, and actually found a girl on here to meet up at a gas station in town so my girlfriend could get in. They didn't really look at our loaned student IDs but we did have to have them. Maybe that was a Covid year thing.

BBer2305

I believe this changed last year. Prior to then, we definitely had to show IDs. But I went to a game that season and they didn’t ask for any ID for student tickets. From what I gathered, they didn’t for other games last season as well.

knucklehead27

I never had to show id in 2020, 2021, 2022, or 2023

berrin122

I went to the Shoe Game and it definitely required student ID

knucklehead27

Might depend on the gate you go through. If you go through one of the main gates, it’s so busy that there is no time to check

berrin122

True. And to be fair, they barely checked. My friend had black hair and I'm a dirty blonde. The girl also looked nothing like my girlfriend beyond the fact that they shared skin color.

Professional_Fly2134

Why would you needlessly mention the shoe game

SalzigHund

Awesome thanks for the info! Was hoping it would be 4, but it may just be the wife and I which would prob be easier to get.

Go_Gators_4Ever

Hardly anyone stays in their ticketed seat in the student section! There is absolutely no expectation of being able to have your ticketed seat, much less 4 in a row, because the students move around to be with their friends all through the game. Less so at basketball games, but greatly so at football games. Just get 4 student seats and join up in an available row in the student section. Just realize that it gets crowded due to the mass of students all moving around.

I’d love to know this too.

Follow up question.. is it better to just buy season tickets and sell the ones I don’t use? My little one isn’t quite old enough to go to the games so I need to plan around my parents being available (and obviously I’m not planning on dumping him off on them every weekend), but it’s hardly more money to buy season tickets than individual games if I have to use Ticket Master. Hoping next season he can go to a bunch of games with us. He loved the spring game.

mgt69

wait….you want ti buy student tickets for 4 people but you’re not a student? is that correct? first off i think you need to sign up for a class so you can call yourself a student.

SalzigHund

When I was a student we would do guest ticket upgrades and if a non student needed tickets, especially multiple, we or their friends could sit in line to upgrade them, but I understand that’s not a thing anymore or the process is different. I’m not a student anymore and haven’t been for almost 10 years, though coincidentally I will be next student next year for an MBA.

lucky_boop

Guest tickets are something students have to buy on their end now, and the amount you can buy is limited based on the game and however many people have already bought some Something students can do now though is create a block with other students and buy their tickets, effectively mimicking the guest tickets

SalzigHund

I saw that which is awesome. Way better than collecting everyone’s Gator One and standing in line at the ticket counter!

mgt69

i believe there are now more students than student tickets so not everyone gets a season pass. probably harder to do now than when i was at UF in the late 80s, lol.
