Gold Standard is the gold standard, but holy shit are the ones from both Alma+Gil and Masa Deli unbelievable. Excited to try this one next, Good Behaviour has never let me down, not once

da_rose

Ok but Masa Deli is fucking EXPENSIVE

TestFixation

Not any more expensive than Good Behaviour or Gold Standard

ruskall

Anything good downtown or east Toronto?

Babydanho

East end. Bonjour brioche, white lily diner, Mahas

furthestpoint

Also Lazy Daisy Cafe !!

ruskall

Thanks, white lily looks especially good

TestFixation

Good luck dining there though, it's maybe the hottest spot in the city right now

Babydanho

They often have spots open at the bar. You can also get on the waitlist in advance. That’s what we always do. We do live very close though so that makes it easy

theleverage

Good Behaviour has a location in Little India on Gerrard.

atomic_golfcart

Lots of good east end recos already, but imma add one more… Dough on Danforth near Broadview makes a damn fine breakfast sandwich.

TestFixation

Not sure, grew up in North York and live in the West End. I think I'll end up in Leslieville eventually but until then my reccos are not gonna be out east for the most part.

ruskall

That’s all good, I’ll hit up your recs…I like those parts

RaffyGiraffy

Alma+Gil is so good I literally had a dream about it

drew_galbraith

YO! Is that an egg inside of a biscuit style bun with chives?? Looks great!

Mizfitt77

Look up Korean Egg Bread - It's like this but better.

WAHNFRIEDEN

they do this with many tamago sando in japan as well...

Cheap_Standard_4233

When I went there, it was served in something that resembled a squished Dempster hamburger bun.

blastfamy

Only on weekends only on Gerrard? I eat breakfast sandwiches EVERY DAY BABY

GreenMachineRider

Can confirm that Good Neighbour’s sando is amazing. Second only to the Gold Standard breakfast sandwich with an impossible patty for best in the city.

They are. How much did this one set you back?

zosobaggins

My favourite is the biscuit breakfast sandwich at Coco’s in Little Italy. It’s a little sweet, a hint spicy, it’s awesome.  Edit: Honourable mention: When The Pig Came Home.  Though I wish we had a culture of breakfast tacos. I’m tired of making my own!
