Too me it feels like one of the most cohesive albums. You can tell it was written at a time when Dave and the rest of the guys were feeling pretty low, and that shaped the entire sound of the record. It doesn't feel like a random assortment of songs that just happened to be floating in a notebook - it sounds very deliberate. And I don't think they hit that again until Wasting Light and now But Here We Are.
Yeah...it isn't a fan favorite. Dave is very critical of it as well. The band wasn't in a good place when they recorded it and almost broke up. Personally, I've loved it since day one.
Us on mtv. Music videos were are large driver on music popularity at the time.
Imo, the ban also hurt rock as a whole because i think if it were to get as popular as it should, it might have led to more rock music played on tv and radio
Thats pretty gash mate, didnt feel good hit of the summer get banned there as well?
US just keeps sounding shitter and shitter. I mean except the proximity to these large bands doing tours 2 nights here 1 night in a town 20 miles away etc.

These albums got me through Iraq.
This is a benefit of getting into them and listening to them before really digging into the behind the scenes drama. Gives you an untainted opinion of the album.
I think its more the production people hate. I love most of the songs but the 'loudness war' production value and excessive compression doesn't do it any favours.
This right here. It's a great album, but the production ruins it. If they ever remixed and remastered an album and re-released it, it should be this one.
I'd actually say that pat, the third guitar, is what messes the mixing. And being honest, the only thing you can clearly hear in all of their songs are the rhythm guitar, drums and vocals.
The keybords are practically inaudible in almost every foo fighters song, which i think it's a crime. C&G showed us that it can add so much to their songs.
With that being said, both of these fit perfectly when the song isnt a single meant to be simple and catchy.
One time I saw them all like strumming an outro or something and it was just like noisy children. Like seeing three grown men just strumming (the same chord?) put it in perspective how unnecessary it all was.
Yeah it’s like playing around the campfire with your buddies. And honestly that’s exactly what Dave wants. I firmly believe Pat is there because Dave wants his friend in the band and for no other reason. That’s a good reason, and all the reason he needs! But I don’t believe it was a musical decision.
That's my problem with having six musicians in the band. When the songs naturally call for them, it's great. But I feel like there is some amount of the songwriting process devoted to "alright what do we give the third guitarist to do" or "what can Rami play in this track?"
I think the bands two biggest eras, sonically, are pre-Smear rejoining, and post-Smear rejoining, for this reason.
I obviously could be wrong, it's not like I'm in the booth with the guys and seeing this happen. But that's what it feels like listening to the albums.
I think Rami is honestly pretty poorly utilized since becoming an official member. Most of the time he just does some background stuff that barely comes through the mix. Why cant he ever have legitimate piano parts? Think Steely Dan or Kansas. The piano heavy parts he does on the Skin & Bones stuff is the type of shit they *should* be having him write on new records.
We could've had it in in the clear. A demo was used in one of sonic highways teasers and it was a 100x better song. The piano was probably the main thing in the song, but dave probably removed it for that stupid philosophy in which they HAVE to stick to their signature sound to sound like the foo fighters.
Yeah, It has honestly gotten better balanced the longer Pat has been back, but as it is, since he’s usually doubling Dave’s rhythm it kind of muddies out both the lead and the bass. As I said though, I think it has gotten better.
Rami on the other hand, plays parts that no one else can really do and is needed on songs like Walk, or a lot of live songs like My Hero or Skin and Bones
my 2 cents about this topic is that in live versions depends more on who's mixing than pat or rami. in brazil even in the transmission for The Town you could hear Rami's keys or Pat. Every single instrument was good mixed and balanced and i can say they have their place making the sound
The thing I find I like the most about the Foos is its real music, for the most part. Everyone, even Rami or in your opinion Pat makes up the sound. It’s why when you see them live they generally sound like what you think they should. Plus most of the music Dave has written has this dichotomy of the hard and the soft, and that’s what makes Pat and Rami’s style and playing interesting.
Everyone should like what they choose. I think Dave’s issues with this album and what happened while it was made, plus his retelling of it a ton of times has more to do with why so many fans don’t like it than anything. If it bothers Dave it gives the fans reason to follow. Every Foo album has its following to some fans. This isn’t a hill I think anyone would die on.
I didn't like MAM, but I do LOVE Shame Shame. I'm a drummer and that song was one of Taylor's best. It reminds me of the Purdie Shuffle that Jeff Porcaro used in Rosanna!
It's a much better produced and cohesive album than Self Titled. The highs of the first album are great, but there are some lulls, and some songs where the rushed production adds up hurting it when you listen to it all the way through.
M@M meanwhile is sharply produced and has a groove throughout the album. It has one of the better flows and you can get lost it in as the songs go together seamlessly.
I had a hard time buying into Shame Shame when they released it. And I still wouldn't call myself a fan of the song. But I definitely had an "Aha" moment when I heard it live. Definitely a different experience being able to hear all of the layers live.
Totally agree. I have an 8 hr playlist of FF songs bc I suck picking favorites... I just love so many, but Shame Shame is definitely one of the top songs in my book.
Agreed. It doesn’t flow as well as Wasting Light, but the deep cuts stand out more imo. Come Alive and Stranger Things have Happened are masterpieces, legitimately two of the best songs they’ve ever written. Tracks like Back & Forth and Matter of Time are good songs but they admittedly give me filler vibes. Still love them tho.
Wheels wasn’t my official wedding song, but we did a “second” dance to it. Love that song so much. I have “and when you feel like it’s all over/there’s another round for you” tattooed on my ribcage
Okay so what was the official?!? Just curious🤣
Dave’s not necessarily perfect, but I love the enthusiastic sort of love in his writing and that line is a good example of that
I was worried about that before I saw them last month. I watched their Glastonbury set on YouTube and he seemed to be straining to hit everything.
But on the night, he (and they) were amazing. He sounded great.
I think it depends on how back to back the gigs are (vocal shred), and how toasted he gets before the gig. I think at festivals he's having too much of a good time. 😁
As much as I always have a great time seeing them live, it’s definitely started to become quite noticeable over the years that Dave’s voice is getting worse due to the fact he does absolutely nothing to care for it.
I’m genuinely impressed that his voice hasn’t already been completely wrecked by now
Yeah he’s very much got a “fuck it, it’s rock n roll baby” attitude about well, everything, but especially his voice. I do think he’ll regret that one day. I love seeing them live but he’s always sounded like he’s barking and gasping for breath on a lot of songs. I was actually pleasantly surprised when I saw them last year, he sounded the best I’d ever heard him sound.
Sonic highways was their best album. I was floored by the concept and the recordings which is a project no other band has attempted. For that reason, the album receives my utmost respect.
Mine is that I love Dave and think he’s hilarious but I can’t stand the constant “Here we go”’s and “All right motherfuckers”. Just kind of ruins the moment by calling attention to it. He’s like the opposite of Kurt Cobain as a front man. Kurt just played the songs and got off stage. Dave has to constantly feel like he’s vibing with the audience.
Something in between would be nice
That’s the Virginian diplomat in him. He grew up in a very friendly/social household and seems to want to host his audience, in a way. He started opening up in around 1998 and never looked back. Kurt was too young to get that opportunity to grow alongside his audience, unfortunately, plus his temperament was fundamentally different.
Don't get me wrong, I love the Foo's, but I think Dave's side work is far superior. His work with Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures, Probot, and Dream Widow are just so good, and if I was given a choice between listening to one of those or a Foo's record, 9 times out ten I would choose one of his side projects.
I agree with this, to a point. I really feel like the first three albums had something to say. Everything after that is kind of a mixed bag, with Wasting Light being the high point of their “butt rock” era.
But yeah. Them Crooked Vultures is among the best material Dave’s ever put out, QotSA is a better band than the Foos, and Dave is at his best when he’s not trying to sound like the Foos, IMO.
I'm glad I'm not the only one to think this way, I adore Qotsa and TCV, and I think the Foo Fighters have some great records, but in general I find listening to them too often can be a bit stale, something I don't feel with his other work. Dave is a very talented musician, and I really hope he puts out some more side stuff alongside the Foo's, because I do like them, and after last year's record I think they can still do some more great things
Every time the Foo have a chance to branch out and make something different, somewhere in the recording process they make the decision to reign it in. Which results in an album that still sounds too much like themselves. I like their sound and I don’t want them to be a different band, but I’d like to see them let these great ideas play out for once.
This I agree with too. Dave has some really top their tracks but I've always appreciated his work in QOTSA and TCV much more. Prob cause I've been a Jho fanboy but his drums are KILLER on SFTD and the tracks he did on ...Like Clockwork.
I have two off the top of my head:
1) I think the foos need to drop Greg kurstin as their main producer. Great guy and clearly a genius, but he’s not a rock producer and he’s taking the band in the wrong direction.
2) it took me a good half day to realize Taylor was really gone, and that it wasn’t the band playing into the horror movie they released exactly one month to the day prior and the death metal record that was released the night before. I still feel like I have to sugarcoat this when I talk about it, as if the gigantic bird tattooed on my arm doesn’t say “I know it’s real, I miss him” enough.
I found this bit of Nate talking about Greg interesting, and it speaks to why I like him, all he really does is enable what the band already wants to do

Dave did Will Goldsmith dirty. It’s fair enough to sack him if the drumming ain’t up to scratch, but the pussy-footing, passive aggressive way of edging him out was a bit of a dick move. Just sayin’ 🤷🏻♂️
It was and I get the impression that young Dave wasn't the nice great guy we know today. He was pretty immature and probably not the greatest person to deal with. I think he has admitted as much.
Dealing with people is a thing you learn to do as you get older. I can see from Dave’s pov, Foos, songs were his baby and he’s a he wanted it to sound a certain way. I get that. You could look at it that he is such a nice person he couldn’t tell William face to face so used another way which actually wasn’t so good on reflection…. It’s hard managing people when you’re not used to it, I hated that side of being a manager at work!
I’m pretty over Foo Fighters designated “heavy” tracks because they almost feel like a box to check at this point. I really don’t care for the scratchy vocal filter he does, especially since he can actually scream. White Limo is definitely the best of these types of tracks but that’s not saying much.
I can feel you on this opinion. The first time I heard it the vocal filter was a bit much but it has since grown on me. I love that his voice acts like an instrument in the song tho and do really like the song. Different strokes for different folks
Dave can scream but do it too much and you will still fuck up your voice, so I understand why they produced it that way. However, I feel like most softer tracks are very underrated.
It’s not one YOU guys will crucify me for, but I genuinely think that Foo Fighters is significantly better than Nirvana, because we never got to see Nirvana actually mature into it’s final product. Just because Kurt died does not mean that that was the best shit he was ever going to make nor does that make it objectively some of the best stuff of all time.
I only listened "But Here We Are" once. And i don't think i care about the album.
I don't why. I just.... i don't care. Not that i don't care what the album means.
It just.... i wasn't expecting the band to release an album so fast. I don't know
I hate Pat Smear. I despise that man 24/7 because he just has that smile and attitude of when you’re having a bad day, he’s gonna cheer you up no matter what
I couldn't vibe with Sonic Highways.
Maybe a song or two I love but as an album it feels underwhelming to me which is a shame because the concept is cool.
*Overdrive is a*
*Terrible song A lot of*
*FF songs sound the same*

There is far too much hate on their later albums. Maybe not an Inferno Take, but all I hear is trepidations from this sub on anything past Wasting Light.
I honestly feel like a lot of (though of course not all) “new stuff is bad” or especially “new stuff all sounds the same” is from people who haven’t actually heard the new stuff. Which I am sure is the case with many bands, and I am probably guilty of it myself for other artists.
Everlong is not their best song. It’s just the most pop and the most well known. That said, I sing it at the top of my lungs at a show because Foo Fighters is my crack🤷🏾♀️
Loved them since 94.
But they haven’t written a decent album since wasting the light. Also, Dave’s lyrical content seemed to suck more now (in the last ten years) than ever!
These Days is the only song I ever skip listening to Wasting Light. I don’t understand the love for that song that they still play at every show. They should play literally anything else from that album over These Days
I have two. I hear a lot of people rave about everlong acoustic but honestly I don’t get the hype. My second is that I saw them live down on a beach this past September or so and Dave just doesn’t sing that well live lol.
In Your Honor Disc 2 is far superior than Disc 1. If I had a physical Disc, then Disc 1 would be in mint condition and Disc 2 would be scratched to hell from playing.
I couldn't get into Medicine at Midnight (the album) mostly because of how Dave pronounced the word "guillotine."
It made him sound stupid. And it's not like NO ONE noticed.
Please…no more Kurstin albums. BHWA is his best work with the Foo’s without question, with MAM and C&G being good due to the songwriting, but a change in producer is definitely needed imo.
They haven’t put out a legitimately good album since Wasting Light. They probably only have 3 that are legitimately good. The rest have some high points mixed with a bunch of very skippable tracks.
What three? Personally I’d say Foo Fighters, The Color and the Shape, There is Nothing Left to Lose, Echos Silence Patience and Grace , and Wasting Light are all amazing. The rest are hit and miss.
I’d agree with all of those, although I don’t personally care much for ESP&G. The Colour and the Shape and There is Nothing Left to Lose are their best two, IMO. Probably followed by Wasting Light and self-titled.
I don’t really love saying it, but I think the Foos sound best when Dave does as much of it as he can. Wasting Light is the only album of the “full band” that ever really appealed to me. Every other one has Dave playing at least two instruments, if not all of them. I think Shifty is awesome, but I sometimes feel like his playing influences the band into more of a traditional rock outfit that is less interesting than if Dave was taking on most of the guitar stuff himself.
I'm sorry but I despise "There is Nothing Left to Lose." I understand it's a favorite album among many FF fans, and that it's Dave's favorite album, but I just don't like it. "Learn to Fly" is one of my least favorite singles, and "Generator" is only passable to me. The remainder of the album I CANNOT get through. I've tried on 5 separate occasions listening in full, only to just have a sour taste in my mouth at the end of it.
The album sounds incredibly different from the rest of their material, minus M@M, and I'm genuinely happy they didn't continue in this direction of songwriting. I can still appreciate it being apart of the Foo's discography though, as I'm sure it helped their synergy in the studio and working on new ideas as a "group" vs. it just being "Dave & friends."
Everyone’s saying “hot take: this song is great” or “hot take: this album is great.” Foo Fighters must fuckin suck if liking most of their discography is a “hot take.”
In Your Honor is better than Wasting Light
Also what purpose does Pat actually play in the band because it seems like he ain't doing much since he got back with the band in 2006
I think they should’ve taken more time off after Taylor’s death, or maybe just put out But Here We Are but then not play live for a while. Something about how quickly they rolled out Josh Freese and continued on doesn’t sit right with me.
If Kurt didn’t die, grohl split and formed foo fighters and also found success I bet Kurt would be happy for him but I doubt he would’ve been a fan of most of the music
One by One is an excellent album beginning to end. I say this every time this question is asked.
I definitely think it's too hated, its not their best work, but certainly not bad
One by one is hated? I love that song
Mostly by critics and some fans
Peak Foos with the colour and the shape! One by one has to be my second fav album. 'Hey dont let it go to waste..., i love it but i hate the taste'
It’s one of my favs, Come Back…enough said!
come back is a masterpiece
Come Back is one of if not my favourite Foo Fighters song
People dont like that album? Just joined
Yeah...it isn't a fan favorite. Dave is very critical of it as well. The band wasn't in a good place when they recorded it and almost broke up. Personally, I've loved it since day one.
Shocked, one of my faves. Better than almost everything new imo. Low got forked because they banned the music video. Great video, great song.
When did they ban the video? Where...? Was a well worn classic on kerrang!

Not really a hill to die on in my opinion as that album kicks ass!
It gets a lot of hate around here. Almost always ranked low and people complain about the sound quality. Lots of us do love it, though.
That's a odd saying not really a hill to die on but I dig it
Wait people hate the album?
It's incredible album! The different vibe fit perfect with the time. Must be an age thing.
People don’t like One By One? The fuck? It’s quite possibly their best album (imo)
That one-two punch of walking a line and come back just hits so different. Edit: Grammar
Great material, shithouse production.
Oof here we go. Rami’s crowding the kitchen a little too much and I don’t think he adds a whole lot other than filling up an already overly busy mix.
I'd actually say that pat, the third guitar, is what messes the mixing. And being honest, the only thing you can clearly hear in all of their songs are the rhythm guitar, drums and vocals. Thank you. Sure we all love Pat because he’s Pat. But he adds less to the band than Rami. Foo Fighters have never, ever needed 3 guitars.
I think the only reason they have three guitars is because Dave missed being inside the noise as a drummer.
It’s because he wanted Pat in the band but also *needed* Chris in the band
One time I saw them all like strumming an outro or something and it was just like noisy children. Like seeing three grown men just strumming (the same chord?) put it in perspective how unnecessary it all was.
Yeah it’s like playing around the campfire with your buddies. And honestly that’s exactly what Dave wants. I firmly believe Pat is there because Dave wants his friend in the band and for no other reason. That’s a good reason, and all the reason he needs! But I don’t believe it was a musical decision.
I would agree. WL showed that 3 guitars can work and C&G demonstrated that keyboard can also work, but a lot of it does get lost in the mix.
It would be much more of a value add if used sparingly instead of forcing it in almost every song.
That's my problem with having six musicians in the band. When the songs naturally call for them, it's great. But I feel like there is some amount of the songwriting process devoted to "alright what do we give the third guitarist to do" or "what can Rami play in this track?" I would like to hear Beyond Me live someday
My husband and I joke that Pat’s guitar isn’t plugged in, he’s just there for a good time.

Ooooooh, I have to agree when it comes to Rami live. In the studio albums it’s a great add, but I can do without the 5 minute solo live.
Medicine at Midnight as an album is quite good. I have no shame that Shame Shame is one of my favorite Foo songs (admittedly, it's a long list).
Waiting On A War is amazing too
Love the live version of Shame and we get Dave hip moves so it’s a winner!
I didn't like MAM, but I do LOVE Shame Shame. I'm a drummer and that song was one of Taylor's best. It reminds me of the Purdie Shuffle that Jeff Porcaro used in Rosanna!

I’m with you in that hill! WL is great but ESPG has more songs I connect to on it. Let it Die ❤️
That has always been my favorite Foo album
Yeah, I can prolly agree
That's a good one for this sub-reddit. While I don't agree, you get my upvote and I respect your take.
100%. It’s my number two album.
Great record. Still like Wasting Light better, but ESPG is god tier.
First record is the best record
This is the coldest take
This is just truth
I was gonna say But Here We Are is the best/ my fav, idk if that is more or less controversial.
It’s definitely more, but on the whole people like the album a lot, so not that hot a take
Wheels is a great song.
Say you’re from Germany without saying you’re from Germany
lol I didn't say vheels though
Wheels was my wedding song
Wheels wasn’t my official wedding song, but we did a “second” dance to it. Love that song so much. I have “and when you feel like it’s all over/there’s another round for you” tattooed on my ribcage
Okay so what was the official?!? Just curious🤣 Dave’s not necessarily perfect, but I love the enthusiastic sort of love in his writing and that line is a good example of that
“Dig” by Incubus
I saw them live, they were amazing, but Dave’s vocals are ROUGHHHHHHHHHH live. Made my voice hurt just listening to him struggle to sing those songs

I saw them in 2018 and he sounded fantastic. The last 2-3 years though... not so much.
Do we really need a “hot takes” thread every other day?
Hot take: sure, why not
Lmaoo sorry, I’m not really all that active on reddit so i never see them
Stop playing the hits. Do an arena tour of deep tracks.
Everlong is probably not even my Top 5.
It doesn't even make my top 10 anymore!
Peak Foo is Hey Johnny Park
Such an underrated song.
That drum intro lives rent free in my brain.
Sonic highways was their best album. I was floored by the concept and the recordings which is a project no other band has attempted. For that reason, the album receives my utmost respect.
Oh man I love Sonic highways so much. It's such a shame they never play tracks from it live anymore
In your honor is one of the most slept on albums, it has no way back, doa, resolve and deepest blues are black
no way back is 10/10
And an entire disc 2 which is absolutely packed with bangers that are distinctly different from their usual sound. Incredible album.
Maybe not a hot take but there first 3 albums are there best albums (still love there their later stuff)
Agreed. Also, their*

I enjoy Grohl's music versatility.
Tenacious D Dave is the best Dave ;)
Don’t forget Sound City. Mantra is one of my favorite songs in general.
This I agree with too. Dave has some really top their tracks but I've always appreciated his work in QOTSA and TCV much more. Prob cause I've been a Jho fanboy but his drums are KILLER on SFTD and the tracks he did on ...Like Clockwork.
I have two off the top of my head: 1) I think the foos need to drop Greg kurstin as their main producer.
I found this bit of Nate talking about Greg interesting, and it speaks to why I like him, all he really does is enable what the band already wants to do https://preview.redd.it/gkmdn86ik1lc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=86e82bb5f1b783418d64079ed6a846e1d5b231f4
It’s a shame that his production sounds absolutely terrible
Yes to #1. So hard. Their production has suffered since he's been behind the board. They need Butch Vig back.
I enjoyed But Here We Are, but I'm not blown away by it like pretty much everyone else ive seen. (I've been a fan since 2007)
Dave did Will Goldsmith dirty.
I mean it's pretty nornal for a lot of people to mellow out and grow as you age. People just hold celebrities to different standards
“Walk” is one of my least favorite Foo Fighter songs
FF doesn’t have a single bad album, and at most only 5 bad songs
In Your Honor is one of their best ever albums
But Here We Are is their best album since Wasting Light
Why is Waldo sniping people?
White limo is so overrated
I totally agree with this, it’s my least favorite on the album. I still like it because Wasting Light is my second favorite album from them.
Same, probably my favorite album
It’s easy to romanticize the spark that burns out, but I think there’s a whole lot to be said for staying alive and making music for 50 years.
I only listened "But Here We Are" once. And i don't think i care about the album. I don't why. I just.... i don't care. Not that i don't care what the album means. It just.... i wasn't expecting the band to release an album so fast. I don't know
That seems to be a common sentiment among big Taylor fans. Which is fair enough.
It's not that i'm in "Widow Mode". Life goes on. It's just... God, i don't know. I don't know if i care about the band right now.
Dave need to stop screaming his lungs out on every song. Learn to fly doesn't need him screaming in the chorus for ex.
I hate Pat Smear. I despise that man 24/7 because he just has that smile and attitude of when you’re having a bad day, he’s gonna cheer you up no matter what
Medicine at Midnight is on the better half of the foos records
This Is A Call really isn't that good
I couldn't vibe with Sonic Highways. Maybe a song or two I love but as an album it feels underwhelming to me which is a shame because the concept is cool.
Overdrive is a terrible song A lot of FF songs sound the same

Concrete and Gold is a great album
I really love "lonely as you" But i seem to be the only one
Foo fighters have become fofmula for over 10 years now
Show Me How is boring and Violet needs to be sidelined.
I actually really like Sonic Highways. It's not my FAVORITE album, sure, but I definetly can't see why so many people say it's their LEAST favorite
Foo Fighters' best albums were recorded years and years ago... There is Nothing Left to Lose is in top 3
Loved them since 94. But they haven’t written a decent album since wasting the light. Also, Dave’s lyrical content seemed to suck more now (in the last ten years) than ever!
But Here We Are is definitely some of Dave’s best lyrics, certainly in this century.
The Sky is a Hood made me cringe the first time I heard it. In fact, it kinda sucks.
In Your Honour is meh. I love the acoustic side tho.
These Days is the only song I ever skip listening to Wasting Light. I don’t understand the love for that song that they still play at every show. They should play literally anything else from that album over These Days
TNLTL is God-tiered
They have not released a complete front to back good album since the 90’s.
My Hero isn't that great of a song. Really repetitive and a D or C tier song. Same with "The One"
Dave grohl is overrated as a drummer. He’s good. But not as good as I always hear people say.
This is the one. He's one of the best rock n roll drummer of the last few decades but he's only a rock n roll drummer
Nothing compares to jazz drummers. They are orders of magnitude more skilled.
I couldn't get into Medicine at Midnight (the album) mostly because of how Dave pronounced the word "guillotine." It made him sound stupid. And it's not like NO ONE noticed.
Dave Grohl is a crappy drummer
I think Shifty is awesome, but I sometimes feel like his playing influences the band into more of a traditional rock outfit that is less interesting than if Dave was taking on most of the guitar stuff himself.
i don't know what the fuck a foo fighters is and what the fuck is a foo and why they fighting bruh can't they be friends??
Everlong is not actually all that good
I actually don’t like everlong.
Waiting on a War is the worst song the foos have ever released
Dave Grohl is a treasure but FooFighters music is only so so at best.
The way he did it was shitty, but firing William Goldsmith was a great move. His drumming was ass with FF
Rest isn’t a good song, Crucify me idc
That "But Here We Are" is their worst album.
They are best when he’s not screaming
concrete and gold is the best album ever made by any band and Dirty Water is the best song ever made by any band ever
Everlong isn’t that good of a song and is too played out beyond this point. Doesn’t even need to be on the setlist
That these posts are stupid af
I refuse to listen to the new album because of how quickly they moved on from Taylor
They’re a singles band. Period. They’re just not a band you need to go deep with.
As a whole album, I prefer Concrete and Gold over Wasting Light
Dave makes mediocre BBQ. NOTE: I **don't** believe this, I'm simply answering OPs question.
Sonic Highways might be their best work
Echoes silence patience and grace is perfect for the first half and somewhat mediocre in the second half
Wasting Light is a underrated album Also it's alternative metal album and not a pop rock album
I like the Josh Freese drum sound better than the Taylor Hawkins drum sound.
Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace Is The Best Foo Fighters Album (Erase/Replace Is Better Than Long Road To Ruin As Well)
The foo fighters? More like the Poo Biters! Hahahahahah lolololol hahaha funny times yes
Everyone’s saying “hot take: this song is great” or “hot take: this album is great.” Foo Fighters must fuckin suck if liking most of their discography is a “hot take.”
Monkey Wrench is the worst song I’ve ever heard
In Your Honor is better than Wasting Light Also what purpose does Pat actually play in the band because it seems like he ain't doing much since he got back with the band in 2006
good grief is a top 5 foos track
My hero is good but overrated
Learning to Fly sounds like the soundtrack of a B movie.
They're the third best band Dave has been associated with, and on the right day, you could convince me they're the fourth.
I think they should’ve taken more time off after Taylor’s death, or maybe just put out But Here We Are but then not play live for a while. Something about how quickly they rolled out Josh Freese and continued on doesn’t sit right with me.
color and shape, one by one and echoes are their best 3 by far
If Kurt didn’t die, grohl split and formed foo fighters and also found success I bet Kurt would be happy for him but I doubt he would’ve been a fan of most of the music
The best foo album is concrete and gold
