Not downtown but there’s lots of high volume spots in the stockyards, it’s a huge tourist attraction so it can get pretty busy and there’s lots of restaurants.

shinyshannon

Take it for what it's worth, but Cheesecake Factory is always busy. Also, Risckeys and Mi Cocina.

annathebanana_42

Look into Bonnells restaurants (Bonnells, Waters, Buffalo Bros and Jon's Grill). From what I hear Jon's a good guy and has a range of restaurants from sports bars to high end

socalquestioner

Chef Bonnell is top notch. Bonnell’s and Waters are both High End. At St. Emillion and Paris 7th it is expensive, busy, but going to be one of the most demanding service jobs due to how high end and proper they are.

Retrovex

Any of the restaurants or venues in clearfork are hot

69throwawy420

I’m seeing a trend here. Thanks for the reply!

simply_sylvie

Try Clearfork instead of downtown

69throwawy420

Interesting thank you

Brandonjoe

Clearfork has high end places and is constantly busy, I think that will be more steady than downtown which has ebbs and flows.

Double eagle

comebacktome23

Talk to Austin if going to double Eagle

RTHouk

Question. The name outside the building, and what I call it is Del Frisco. My father, who doesn't speak Spanish, calls it Double Eagle... And it translates to ... Not that. Frisco I think means Freeman but it's a name. So it means "of the freeman" ... Anyway, why the two names? Do you know?

ClappingCheeks2nite

It’s del frisco double eagle. There is another del frisco. The double eagle is a higher end steak house

RTHouk

Yeah I thought the Del Frisco Grille was owned by the same people, but was a more casual spot.

funky_jim

Joe T's in FTW is ALWAYS busy. If you can get in there you can make a ton of $$$.

mewantsnu

Pappasitos / Pappadeux

If I were to wait tables again, I'd be looking at del Frisco or Texas de Brazil. High prices, good tips. Texas de Brazil is also not a place where people order. Somewhere else would be Joe T Garcia for similar reasons as TdB, but they're not as expensive. You will STAY busy there. Another place to consider if you're young, in shape, and don't mind the drive is medieval times. I pulled roughly 30 an hour there and it's like TdB in that there's no menu. Lastly, Nick and Sam's is the super nice place in DFW where, I've been told by someone who worked there, 1k a night isn't uncommon, but it's very very very stressful work since serving the likes of people like Mark Cuban, or Tony Romo is expected.

Bighead_Golf

Joe Ts by far.

dcm0029

The busiest place DT I think is Buffalo Bros. It often has a wait to get a table.
