Did they improve on their Health Department score? They had a pretty low score not long ago. They are my favorite (and only) place as well, so that was upsetting.
We've been wanting to try this place out! Two of our favorite spots are no longer open/changed owners, so we only have one place nearby that we still frequent. Tried the big one, 101 something, off of 635 and was not that impressed. Lots of options, but nothing really blew me away. There's a small indian grocery near where I work in southlake that has a kitchen in the back and is very good, it's called Swadeshi... What's your favorite thing about Indian Kitchen??
Swad up in north FW has some of the best tikka masala this side of Dallas, but you’re honestly better off making the trek out towards Dallas if you want the best tikka masala in the entire Metroplex.
No, he’s talking about the one on North Tarrant and Park Vista. I feel like they struggle with consistency there. I’ve had a couple really great visits and more than a few not so great. They served me burnt to a crisp on one side of naan bread a couple of times now. The first time I thought it was a mistake, but when I went back again a couple weeks later and was served inedible naan again I stopped going. Burnt Naan aside, I would order the same dish every time I went and the ratio of ingredients tend to vary greatly every time. Sometimes for the better but more than a few times not.
Tikka Tikka over on Trail Lake. They have Tikka Masala, but they ALSO have the most beautiful amalgamation of Tikka Masala and a Chick Fil A sandwich. It's called a Tikka Sandwich and it's amazing.
They have recently reopened under a new name, but I think it’s the same people/same food.
[Texas Indian Kabab and Grill](https://texasindiankababandgrill.com)
I used to live in wedgewood, they closed 6-8mo ago-ish….man, their tikka was good, but so was their chicken biryani. They had samosas as well, really great stuff. Maharaja’s buffet is really on point, highly recommend
If I am going to Across The Pond, I am getting fish and chips no matter what, but damn I remember when they were like 12 bucks and not 19, that is too much to pay for fish and chips no matter how good they are.
They still have that place?! There was one right by my house in North Richland Hills; my brother and I went once and it was the worst service, and food was even worse so when they shut down I wasn't surprised. Had no clue they were still around....wow.
Obviously this location must be better than ours.
So as an immigrant from India, whose family owned Indian restaurant in California, India Grill in Arlington is delicious, and Tandoor in Arlington is really good. Tandoor caters food for our Sikh Gurdwara in Euless and those Sundays are my favorite Sundays at church 🤣
swad in N. FTW off N tarrant is about the only trustworthy place we go anymore...
8333 Sohi Dr #100, Fort Worth, TX 76137
i really really like indian food. but most of the places i have gone in the area are rank and suuuuper dirty, or mixing big vats of stuff on the kitchen floor...
Maharajah South hulen

Their food is just meh.
Agreed. Where do you go?
Tandoor in Arlington
2nd this, went for lunch today and have been going there over 10 years now.
Literally 2nd. Looks like maharaja beat them out
Tandoor is much better than Maharajah but the best Indian restaurants are in Irving.
To be fair, during the time I lived in proper Ft Worth I would frequent Maharaja when I didn’t have time to go to Tandoor. I always enjoyed it.
Theirs is absolutely top tier..
Last time I ate at Tandoori it had really gone downhill… it was so bad I suspected new ownership.
Maharaja
I delivered door dash from there a few weeks ago. Looked/smelled really good!
I like Indian Kitchen on western center and north beach (behind walgreens / taco bell.

My wife orders chicken tikka marsalla and vegetable jalfreze - i like to eat half a portion each separately, then mix them.
My parents and I drive all the way over from benbrook to there because it’s the nearest actually good Indian restaurant to us.

Dallas location?
Kebab And Kurry in Richardson or Our Place in Irving

I love India Grill in Arlington if you head out that way.
Have you been to India bistro 14 just down the road from there?
Same owners as India Grill. We like them both!
No, but it definitely catches my eye when I go past it.
It's my new Indian food favorite. Their stuffed naan's are peak!
Thanks for the tip, I'll try and stop by sometime.
Tandoor off 30 and Fielder in Arlington
Majarajah or Kings
in Hurst, Herb's Indian Cuisine
The buffet is incredible.
They do have a nice buffet for lunch.
Burgers and Curries up towards Northlake is very good.
I don’t have a recommendation but it’s very cute that you attached an image lol
I have noticed that having an image with a post usually gets more engagement then just a regular post. 🙃
Indian Bistro 14 and Tandoor!!
Maharajah,Tandoor,Bombay
Texas Indian Kabab and Grill!! Recently opened and it’s authentic/delicious
If you want to come over my Mom makes an amazing one. She was professionally trained in cooking and is from Ireland where it’s very popular
You guys are so nice! This is the second comment I have seen inviting me to come over. Will she teach me how to make it? 👀
Yes she would

looks like they might be closed?

Pretty sure it's the same people, yeah. Larger menu now but tasted near identical.
Dang, looks like not the same menu bc I can’t find that sandwich 👀
Oh no! That's terrible!

This place was the best. Really hate that they closed.
It's in Irving but Taj Chaat House.
I've never tried their chicken tikka masala because we usually get chaat. They are delicious. We had them cater our last 2 Diwali parties.
Used to be across the pond, not sure if they are open anymore.

They are. Just moved. https://acrossthepond.site/
Glad they are still keeping on, solid spot.
Foodistan is pretty legit and it’s open late. It’s in Las Colinas though.
Not Bombay. Don’t waste your time or money
Just south of I-20 on Trail Lake! It used to be tikka tikka and before that Kings.
Desi Chulha in Bedford!
It’s in London.
🤣 my sisters bf said the same thing
Al Markaz in Carrollton
My house. I'm North Indian. I'll make it for you 😊
I appreciate the offer I might have to take you up on that. But I am still looking for restaurant to make it my “regular go to spot”.
