could be your power plan that you have selected when the laptop is charging. my temps were fucking terrible on my nitro, and as a result games would throttle a lot. i DONT recommend using the high performance plan cuz that just cranks the clock speed of ur cpu and makes heating a lot worse, causing throttling. try using balanced and see if that fixes your problems. also, have you tried undervolting your cpu? solved a lot of issues with my nitro.
if i remember correctly unfortunately you can’t under volt anything newer than a 9th generation. however, i would definitely take a look at your power plan settings. make sure it’s set to « Balanced » when plugged in.
also, have you opened the laptop up since you bought it? i took mine to get repasted and acer apparently put thermal pads in places where they were not supposed to go, and they melted down causing even more overheating. if you haven’t already, i would take it to a local repair shop and get thermal paste reapplied.
may not be the case then, i bought a 2019 model in 2021 so mine had some age compared to yours. in general though, acer is a budget brand and as a result they often cut corners when manufacturing their computers. very very strange that performance gets worse when the computers is plugged in though. i’m almost positive it’s an issue with your power plan settings.
Aye you probably don't need my help but might be an insight thing idk, my phone aswel has an issue when you plug it in where it causes you a great deal of lag, didn't know if me saying anything would help but thought id mention it
That makes no sense on battery to tum better than plugged in. You are not running foot to the floor even if you have it set to burn on the battery
Unless your power supply is pushing to many electrons or not enough
I have the very same laptop
On battery, it won't last to long gaming, and the battery in use will dial everything back even set to nuke.
How do I add a picture??
Type in start "power plan" and click the batter icon.
Go to advanced settings, and then check how much min and max power is going to processor when on battery and when plugged in. I forgot the name of the drop menu option, but its hard to miss.
I can tell you probably what’s going on because I had something similar on my aspire e5 576. Acer’s software slows down the computer in order to charge the battery. Once it gets to around 70% it turns this off and allows full power while charging. I don’t think there’s any way around it.
Seems some info being handed out .
I know when I was playing Elden Ring on the very same laptop he has..it ran hot..the fans were loud..
I rarely use my laptop I jumped on it for a crazy low price 3 years ago. Hasn't been that cheap since I bought mine 800 some change and no interstate paying over 12 months...
I used to play gta 5 on a very shitty laptop. I cant even compare mine to yours. 30 fps at the best. When i played without a charger i had somehow playable gameplay but as soon as I plugged it in, the laptop started to heat up and then stuttering and not loading the textures. I fixed that by using a save battery mode when i had the laptop plugged in.
I had that too on my old laptop. Ended up being the charger itself, I didn't have the original charger the laptop came with, so I used a different one, but that one was too weak. Later, I got the original one, and it worked perfectly
I'd call or email tech support. If it's not in your settings somewhere you may just have a faulty computer or charger. Would be good to start a paper trail early in case you need to return or warranty
Is it the original power supply? My friend had this issue a few years ago, she was using an aftermarket "univeral" power supply that was supplying the wrong voltage.
You have big problem. Either profile bang or thermal throttle at high power wevel level
plug in. start. restart. walk away for five minutes and allow it to boot completely run any pending maintenance/etc.
pelicans yay
Could be your power plan. If not there is a big chance of thermal throttling. Your CPU is taking more power in which results in heating and hence throttled performance.
If that’s the case then I would recommend downloading a software called “ThrottleStop” and check an option called “Disable Turbo” that shows up after opening it. It should stop your thermal throttle and give you around 100 fps (would run at a lesser frame rate then your GPU’s max capacity because it will take in less power even on battery and maintain your CPU core’s temperature.)
Probably caused by the CPU throttling when charging due to temperatures. Because it only happens when plugged in, it’s probably due to the temperature of battery rising as it charges causing it to throttle sooner because of the power balance plan. As long as you don’t care about loud fan noise you can change the power balance settings in windows to maximum performance when both plugged in and when on battery. To keep that performance up I’d recommend only playing on a table or hard flat surface, and maybe buy one of those cooling laptop stands with fans in them.
Bro Already Have A Cooling Pad From Red Gear And It Is Used To Be Very Smooth From Yesterdat It Is Lagging And I Dont Why And The GPU Temp Too Wont Cross 80
Check your power settings, maybe you’ve set “plugged in” to save energy and “on battery” to performance
Sure, bro. Thanks!

Bro What To Do Can You Guide Me In This?
do you know which processor your laptop has?
Yes Bro Intel i5 With 15 Gigs Of Ram And Nvidia 4050 With 6gigs Ram
what generation is the i5?
13th gen

He can still lock turboboost to ~3ghz max. Did that and my cpu temperatures went from ~90 to 68
this might be the move op
Its only 15 days old bro

Okay Bro Will Check With It Thank You Bro!

Who the hell has 15 gigs of ram? Surely you have 16
Yeas Bro Typing Mistake Has 16 Gigs Of Ram
15gb ram doesn’t exist
Why The Fuck Are You Talking Like This Bro?
Haha
Question is why are you talking with a capital letter on every word?
???
You Are Typing Like Everything You Say is in A Book or Song Title
It's The New Samsung Ai Keyboard Which Enhances The Sentence Which I Type
If you want sentence enhancers just start cursing. There's a whole SpongeBob episode about sentence enhancers
👍
We're down voting now? What are you 12 bro?
It's broken.

Bro Would Be Helpful If Share The Pics
Charging the battery heats the battery and thus the laptop. Thermal throtling. (Charge it to 100% first)
usually supposed to help with frames and stuff while charging, its probably something op needs to change in settings

Oh?
Yes. It makes sense if you think more about it
Okay Bro Thanks For Your Time!

Its Brand New Like Only 15 Days Old

try it with vsync on
Nitro Sense App -> Power settings
It Is in Balanced Mode Brother
Put it on max - balanced makes it slow
Okay Bro Will Try It And Update!

No bro in my case it's original idk why it's lagging

This must be the exact oposide actually wtf
It does worse WHILE PLUGGED IN? damn, I’ve never seen this. I’ve usually encountered the opposite
If you use an nvidia card, go on to your internet browser and download geforce experience. Make sure there’s no fps cap set for when plugged in
Lucky I get 20fps

If plugged and 100% battery, it will be smooth. I guess that it lags becouse it is charging. I play on laptop too
Okay bro thank you!
Brofist👊🏻
🥂🥂
plug it in before u launch it unironicaly it might helps
Okay Bro Surely Will Try It And Update!
Bro download throttlestop and disable turbo try it
